Hugs to you! Today is my day. My oldest is leaving for FL for a training program to become a personal trainer. It's only for 4 months and I'm already getting misty. I can't imagine what it will be like in 3 years when we send the younger one off for 4 years at college. I truly can't imagine what all you parents who send their kids off into the military go thru. At least we have technology, right? Our parents just left us in our dorms, hoping we would call once a week (after 11PM, of course) or write a letter once in a while. What would we overprotective moms do w/out texting, email & facetime?

Surprisingly, I only teared up a bit when we left dd at college 7 hours away. I know she is excited, and I am excited for her. Bonus, her roommate is local, and we met her parents. They are great so dd will have an emergency adult nearby.

HUGS!! My niece moves into Oregon state as Beaver, my brother is having a harder time with it than her mom, as the boys, He just called me last week. I was a little bummed I didn't get to catch up with them this summer and see her before she goes off to college. I usually get to meet up with them and her siblings and her dad at my moms in Utah but I missed them by a few weeks since I had surgery. I could tell he was having a hard time but he's excited for her and so amI. But we joked that we are happy she's not a Duck! And glad that she can come go home on the weekends if she wants or needs too. They live in Newport.

I already caved and told mine I would take him out for lunch with his girlfriend. When food is mentioned, that boy jumps in a car like a dog on a summer's day.

monicad how are you doing? How is your DS doing? {{hugs}} Much better, thanks!! We face timed tonight and he's coming home for Labor Day weekend. It will only be two weeks since we've seen him, but that's the longest it's ever been!
