I thought it was a snooze fest. The actors are not very compelling. I'll still watch, but I was disappointed it was so slow and well- boring. I was able to watch tonight and I agree. They went too far into the Nick guy. It was slow. Will continue to watch and see. I am wondering if this will somehow tie into TWD. I thought it would be great if the boyfriend was Noah! (Bols is mine.) The time-frame of FTWD is the 6 weeks that Rick was in a coma. When he was shot, nothing was amiss in the world. While he was in the coma is when the world went to hell. FTWD is supposed to show how all that went down and all the TWD characters/stories are ahead in time from when FTWD takes place (hope that makes sense!).

I liked it and think that I will like it even more as the story line develops more. I also thought that the mom acted and talked like a police officer and that the daughter looked like a young Miley Cyrus! Great minds think alike!
My dh has much better vision than I do and he said that the daughter's phone when they showed her texting her boyfriend when he did not show at the beach had a text line that said "You better be dead."

I get it, but they could still be living and become a future member of TWD. It all started at the same time, Fear needs to just catch up. Or for that matter, one of the Fear people could be a TWD person.

I enjoyed it. The drug addict son hit really close to home a bit for me. Ironically, I found myself thinking, "as bad as having a drug addict for a child is at least there's not zombies too." I thought the Nick character looked like the Franco brothers. And Johnny Depp too. I'll definitely continue watching.

I was out of town and didn't get a chance to watch until last night but I loved it! I like that we as the audience have insight that the characters do not and that there are so many "clues" being dropped for the characters: the missing posters, attendance at school dropping because of "the flu", and then the incident on the highway.
So good! I am not a huge fan of the mom's character but I also didn't like Daryl at the beginning of TWD and now he's my favorite!

Actually it was The Mist, not The Fog, but the titles are close. I remember seeing that and thought it was a crazy coincidence, but Frank Darabont was involved in both. I guess he remembered some actors he really liked. Good job Frank! Yes! I was watching a movie last week and The Mist came on after it. I was like, 'Hey! That's Dale!'. Then 'Hey, isn't that Andrea?' And then 'Wow! Carol's in this, too!'. Too freakin' funny! I liked the show, but didn't love it. However, I will give it my regular 3 episodes before I decide if I'm going to stick w/it. Of course, I will be halfway thru the season by then . . .

I watched this last night, finally. Started out a little slow but I ended up enjoying it. Obviously pretty much everyone is going to be bit r eaten because no one knows they need to defend themselves, such a change from TWD! I can see myself getting frustrated with people for being stupid so I have to remind myself that no one knows what is going on.
The downside to my watching this last night, is when I went to bed I spent the whole night running in the zombie apocalypse. I never saw a zombie but I was with a group of people who who constantly scoping out new places (hospitals, factories) and looking for a safe place to live, gathering supplies, etc. I'm exhausted!!! Lol.
