Ugh I feel like this is building to some walker popping out lol.
All the cop cars, helicopters, empty parks reminds me of Body Snatchers with Nicole Kidman where she can see shit is going down but no one believes her!!

I thought it was a great premier I liked the whole city seems normal at beginning and then as the show went on you see glimmers of stuff in the streets. I was always sitting waiting for a walker to jump out lol.
Looking forward to seeing how the world reacts to this all and how it either breaks down or joins forces amongst the people.

So Nick had that limp in the church at the beginning, but then got hit by the car. So is his limp real?
I'm unsure about this show....but I'll give it a few more episodes.

I thought it was a snooze fest. The actors are not very compelling.
I'll still watch, but I was disappointed it was so slow and well- boring.

The police and the hospital staff know exactly what is happening.
When they said the guy who just died needed to go downstairs, I envisioned the cafeteria in the hospital Rick woke up in and the chain and words Do Not Open Dead Inside

I like this show a lot. I thought the acting was good, it's interesting (and frustrating and annoying) to watch the family dynamics.
I knew they were going to concentrate on slowly building the suspense, as well as introducing us to the characters tho first episode, so the pacing didn't bother me.

I thought the same thing Jackie, it takes a while to build the character's roles and I think there was enough suspense and building of the characters that I want to watch it next week. |

I enjoyed it. My husband was really annoyed with Nick's druggie character. His sister reminds me of Miley Cyrus during her Hannah Montana days. Love the Step/Dad. I think the Mom's character is going to end up making us want her to be eaten. I hope not, I want to like her but she's on the brink of annoyance with me already. I enjoyed the snips of the city as they drove around. The missing posters, the empty school corridors and classrooms, the homeless man in the park that was a huge forewarning to what's about to go down. So we know this "virus" is already in 5 states. We know Nick and his girlfriend had the same drugs but she ended up turning and he didn't. So I'm thinking she overdosed? And we all already know that it (whatever it is) is already in everyone. So I still don't know what the heck caused it. But a lot of students are sick. And I feel like a dog chasing its tail.  I think they will drag out the cause because it will keep us watching lol and the HM comparison too funny I have missed you, Jackie ,Free Charlie and the shy one and others from TWD threads. You all have great thoughts on the show! |
