Vickie, I like those. Some companies offer a sample. I would contact them and ask if they can just send you one. Also, if they open like that, I wouldn't even worry about the spindles. I think it might be too much of a pain to try to remove them. Would love to know what you think of them if you get any. I called the company today and they said to drop them an email and they would send me one. I will wait until that gets here and then I will let you know. I am really thinking these will work and they should fit perfectly in the case! LOL!
Cool! I figured they would send one. Most of those companies will because they want your business. Can't wait to hear about it!

My embellishments are organized by color. This is the single best thing I have ever done! It saves so much time. I can just pull out the drawer of the color I need and everything is there. I use the plastic 3 drawer 12 x 12 sterlite units. The only draw back to this system is when I back for a crop. If I don't know exactly what I am going to work on, I don't know what embellishments I need.

I organize by how I look for items so it can vary but mostly by type.

I think they will be perfect for small things like brads and gems, maybe even small flowers. I am going to order a case of 100 since that is what my cassette holder will hold. The little spindles popped right out, all I did was bend the over and they snapped right off and didn't leave a hole or anything. I think they would even be fine if you left the spindles in them. I just had to try it!

I keep my embellishments sorted by collections. When I buy PP, I tend to buy most of the embellishments that go with it so I keep them all together in the larger stampin up plastic bins. Miscellaneous embellishments like flair, enamel dots are kept together.

I keep Christmas (specifically Christmas, not just winter/nature stuff), separate... I have four wire locker baskets that I toss stuff into... The categories are kinda loose/make sense to me, but one is diecuts/chipboard type stuff, then 'fastener' type stuff (brads, paperclips, enamel dots because they look similar to brads...lol), one for 'dimensional' things (veneers, flair, buttons), and the last is 'textiles' (twine, ribbon - and since I don't use that stuff except on cards, anything else that I know will only get used on cards)... I keep stuff in it's original packaging as much as possible, but I put all my paperclips together in a ziplock bag to save room... And I've done that with some other packages that have more air than product - into one of those small ziplock bags you can buy at M's with the backing/label of the package so I know what it is...
Washi tape goes in it's own wire basket because I'm a hoarder...lol
Stickers get divided by type (letter, word, dimensional, "geometrics", "images", rub-ons, etc), and hang in file folders...
Two small wire baskets hold clear stamps (in their original packaging), and wood backed stamps fit in shallow (approx. 2" deep), drawers that are inserts for the Ikea cabinet I have... Inks go in one of those same drawers...
Embossing powders, glitter, distress paints - any 'pots' of that sort of thing are in a small metal pail...
My most used embellishments sit in my Raskog cart - things like those imaginisce metal things and rhinestones, date stamps, black ink, basic punches, etc...
I have a Martha Stewart desk organizer that I bought at Staples that I keep my most used 'flat' stuff in - label stickers, coupe letter sticker packs that I always use, some basic PL cards/cut aparts, a clear stamp date set... It sits on my desk...
I personally don't like breaking up collections - I like to shop my stash and get ideas that way... If there are only a couple items left in a pack I do toss them into a generic bowl though... And I never divided by colour because I get inspiration from seeing how different colours are combined in the packs... That, and half the time I couldn't decide what colour something was - I had a huge pile of 'multicoloured' the first time I laid out some stuff so I gave up right then...lol

I've gotten some great ideas from this thread; I'm glad I asked the question. I do have a Scraprack and I have a lot of things sorted by color. The problem is that since I got it, I've added a LOT to my stash. It already takes up enough space and it's not in the budget to add on to it more than what I have.
I just get so overwhelmed when I go into my scraproom. Stuff everywhere and while it's loosely sorted, it's still all over the place. Photo boxes are on sale this week at Michael's - 5/$10 so I might use those for the new things I've acquired. I can store them by color so they'll be easy to find. I don't necessarily need to see inside them and I can just label it with the color.

i found one of those Iris cases that holds tons of different pix in it, and divided up my die cuts by company... but now i never get it out and use them! it's kind of crazy.
