I am due for an upgrade and was going to get the Iphone 6 plus, but the prices for the older models, with the new ones coming out today, don't seem to be that great??! Wondering if anyone is venturing out today to get the new 6S model? Or the regular 6? Not sure what to do now. I was excited to go after work but now I'm not so sure.

I would definitely get the 6S if you're getting one now. The price differential is not very much and despite looking the same as the 6, is has A LOT of internal upgrades that make it much faster and the camera is also significantly improved, among other things.

Thanks for this thread. Ds phone is not working right. I was going to take it to the verizon store to get it replaced but i guess this weekend would not be the best time to go.

I was wondering about that busypea, theres no real benefit to getting the regular 6 or 6 plus.
Kinda disappointing. My phone is dying and Ive been holding off and when I logged on today it was disappointing to say the least.

Mine is out for delivery today so it should be there when I get home from work.
We did stop at the mall, though, to see how long the lines at AT & T and the Apple store were. Surprisingly they weren't all that long today-I have seen them much longer at previous releases. I did love that the Apple employees had a snack and drink cart that they were pushing around and offering to the customers while they waited.

Mine is out for delivery as well! I can't wait considering I tried to update the IOS on my current phone and it screwed it up. I haven't been able to use it for the last week so I can't wait to have a phone again!!

I currently have the tiny 5 right now. My DH didn't think we needed to upgrade but his phone died on him the night before causing him to miss his alarm on one of those days where you're meeting an important client. He was pretty steamed, and he was already in the store to grab a new phone when his 5 magically turned on again as if nothing had been wrong. Damn phone. I'm sure by the end of the year for sure we'll have new phones.  |

My husband's is out for delivery. I am perfectly happy with my 6+, so am not getting one.
I would give an arm and a leg for the new IPad Pro though!

I was planning to go out today and upgrade my 5 to the 6S. But I have also been wanting to upgrade my iPad2 (which is slow as Christmas) to the iPad Air2. Well Staples dropped the price on the 64gb iPad Air 2 by $150 ($50 cheaper than the cheapest I've seen it) and that same day, I got my Staples rewards in the mail. So, I ended up going out and getting a new iPad.
I'll wait a bit longer on the phone. Mine is working but I really wanted more storage. |

I have a 5....I'm awaiting #7......yes, mine is fine. I don't need a new phone nor the expense right now.

I have a 4s that fits nicely in my front pocket and in my hand. DH recently upgraded to a 6+ and that thing is HUGE. I'm going to end up getting a new phone fairly soon and I know for sure I don't want one that big. |

It is about 1/2 as thick as my 4 was, so really isn't any more bulky to me. I have never thought "darn, my phone is too big!" My husband likes his so much that he has upgraded his 6+ to a 6s+ (which comes today). It is personal preference, I guess; I'm sure that some find it too big. |

I keep my phone in my pocket most of the time and the 6+, for me, was just way too big for that. My dh and ds both have them though and like them. |

I upgraded to the 6 just this week. I'm always a release behind. Lol
I almost waited for the 6s, but didn't really see all that much difference. I like knowing all the bugs are worked out before I switch.

Granted a lot of it is sticking it out but her pockets are a fraction of the size compared to pockets on adult pants. The only time size has been an issue is when she found a cute wristlet she liked and it wouldn't fit. Well it fit but it wasn't going to zip and nothing else would be able to fit. LOL Dh has asked her multiple times if she has wanted to switch (he and I have a 6) and she says no way. |

Question: For all of you that ordered your 6S's online for delivery today - did you pay order through Apple & pay full price or are you using it as an upgrade & purchase through your cell provider?

<<< I still have a 4, not even a 4s.  But it still works, so I keep it. Although, I have noticed it is starting to run a little slower than usual, which makes me think that the technology has gone so far beyond it that it is struggling to keep up. I guess I will need a new one soon enough-except that cheapskate that I am, I will probably go with one of the 5's since the prices will be (hopefully) so slow. |

It's here and it's pretty great. Much faster than my 6, even TouchID is faster. Also, they changed the aluminum a bit and I know it's supposed to be stronger but it's noticeably "grippier" too. Not nearly as slippery, which is nice since I don't use a case.
The camera!!! It's so great on the 6S Plus!!! It has feature like image stabilization that the 6 doesn't and I can definitely tell.
