Oh my, I'm visiting my DD in Parker. Even though the Mtns are kind of hazy, it is still beautiful. We have done a little sightseeing, went to Boulder, and other things.
No humidity, no bugs and such beauty. I could live here.

DD and SIL want us to move there. If they could get rid of the snow I may consider it.

I'm headed to Denver (Aurora) this week to help my husband's cousin shop for a wedding dress. I've been way more places outside of the US than in it, so I'm really looking forward to this as I've never been to Colorado.

My nephew and his wife moved there last year from New Orleans. They are in love with the cooler temps and no humidity! Of course they are big skiers too, so they are very happy

No we don't. We do get skeeters in the summer, so we can't claim there are no bugs. And without snow it just wouldn't be Colorado.

I miss mountainous states every single day, particularly Utah and Colorado. Someday...

I have lived in Utah for three years and my answer is no. The mountains take my breath away each and every day.

When I lived in the Springs, I NEVER got tired of seeing Pikes Peak. Gorgeous state.

I prefer to have the view of the Rockies from my house than to actually be in them! I have more of a prairie girl, and while I don't mind the rocks, I dislike being in amongst all the trees They are really beautiful to have on the horizon, though--with more wide open spaces behind me, lol!

We moved away from Colorado last summer. I miss so very much the lack of bugs. I'm living in mosquito hell right now and can't even get the mail with out getting bit. I think I had 5 mosquito bites ever while living in Colorado.
I do miss the Mountains. I grew up in the Rockies and expect I will land back in the Rockies before it's all said and done.
2 more years.

I think I could get used to it but I have lived in the Atlanta area my whole life. Maybe I'll settle with frequent visits.

I have friends that just moved to Parker from the south and love it there so far. I think I will also have to stick with frequent visits between them and DD. PLUS the housing market is a little nuts to say the least.

We've lived here for 27 years. We are in the foothill area of Pike's Peak in the Springs. No, you never get tired of the view. When I come home from work I feel like I am driving into a picture frame. I told my hubby on our first date I wanted to live in Colorado Springs. Lucky us. There is very little humidity and the snow is really pretty minor most of the time. It snows and then two days later it melts. We once went 9 years without a snow day. I lived in Nebraska growing up and the bugs and humidity were awful. And if you don't mind a lot of deer, bears, and a lynx or two, it is perfect.

I always feel a sense of peace when I have been out of state and I land in Denver and see those beautiful mountains. We do have bugs tho! And some crazy hail in the summer and snow in the winter.

We just returned from a whirlwind driving vacation out West. I love that our country has so many different regions with such vastly differing terrain!!! We drove from Northern Maine to New York to visit my son and his fiancee, and then to OH and KY to visit family and then through TN, AR, TX, NM, AZ, NV, UT, CO, KS, MO, IL, IN, and then back through KY, etc. I was blown away and Colorado definitely took my breath away!! I want to go back when we have more time to spend exploring some of the sites!!
Again, I love the beauty that our country holds!!!

Also I love going to The North Face outlet store. Typically I think outlet prices aren't that good but The North Face store had some great deals.

No but I got tired of the high taxes that were impossible for me to pay after my DH died. I was in a very remote area but I had a fantastic front yard view of Black Mountain. When I climbed 500 feet up the back of my property, I had a fantastic view of the back side of Pikes Peak.
I moved back to New Mexico and Sierra Blanca 10-1/2 years ago. I moved here originally June 1990 and have had mountain views ever since and never get tired of it.

Lived in central Utah, at the foot of the beautiful Wasatch Range, for 11 years. Even after 30 years away from them, I still miss the mountains.

I have an old school friend who lives in Colorado, and I'd love to go visit. After living so long in Scotland, I miss the mountains. I would love to spend time in a cabin in the Rockies. At the moment, the thought of no bugs and no humidity is very appealing - NE Florida is like a sauna. I'd like to get over there before we go back to the UK, but I am not sure whether it'll happen. It's on my bucket list for sure.
My sister spent some time with a college friend in Denver a few years ago - she was a bridesmaid in her friend's wedding - and loved it.

I do like seeing the mountains, they're beautiful! I love that there's almost no humidity. There's not a lot of bugs, but I do see a lot of spiders around, and the mosquitoes we get are HUGE! We've been here 12 years, but NH is still home, and I'd move back tomorrow!

I love it here. Just moved to the Springs after 30 years on the Western Slope (which is beautiful!) and no, I never get tired of it! Every morning when I go on a walk I still marvel at the beauty!

No I never get tired of the view. Even though I live on the prairie, Pikes peak is perfectly framed in my livingroom window. I have traveled everywhere in the US &, enjoy our vast & wonderful country& although I do love a beach , nothing beats CO. I feel blessed everyday & I am in awe of the beauty . Everyday for 60 years! ( plus hardly any humidity or bugs & snow that melts between our very infrequent snowstorms.)

Nope, I love them. I love when they are covered with anow, are snow capped or are beautifully green.
I love seeing the sun shine on them in the morning and the sunset behind them in the evening.
I love driving up a canyon or around a valley. I love looking at wildlife and I love hiking to a remote lake or waterfall.
I love my mountains

We've lived here a little over a year and I'm still blown away by the beauty. Our house is at the bottom of cheyenne mountain (think NORAD and Santa tracking) and it is framed by my front window. When I drive to and from work I watch the sun ris and set over the rockies and it slays me.

Never. I still have the urge to pinch myself when I'm looking out at the mountains, the lakes, and the gorgeous views to make sure I'm really here, and I've lived here nearly 8 years now.
