For those people missing the Marathon bar, Cadbury makes a candy bar called the Curly Wurly that is the same. I order them from Amazon and they come from England.

I remember those Banquet boiling bags! The turkey slice in gravy! Yum! Primatene Mist. Cheap and worked fast. Creme rinse...any brand (Tame, Farrah Fawcett, Clairol). Where did all the creme rinse go? I woke up one day and it was all suddenly called "conditioner". Now I'm going to hoard my last bottle of Tussy and fondly remember the scent Love's Baby Soft.... Oh yes. Those "creme rinses" bring back memories!

ETA 2: anyone else remember Marathon bars from the 70s?? Marathon bars-- with commercial. And I just found a ton of candy I remember, still available for sale on oldtimecandy.com... I may just have to place an order! Best candy bar ever! And they were only a quarter. Sigh. I still miss that caramel-y goodness. Have you ever tried Curly Wurly bars? British/Irish import shops usually stock them, and I think they're the same (although not a quarter!). Anita - I see you're KCish - they should have them at Browne's Irish Market in KCMO and Brits in Lawrence.

For lactose free baking we use Fleishman's unsalted. It is kosher pareve, vegan, dairy free and we like it better than Earth Balance.

The only thing I can think of is Scensty Deep Fried Ice Cream bar. I don't know why they discontinued that bar.

Funny bones were top of my list and I'm thrilled they are back - now to get someone (my mum, my sister, my best friend - who all live in New England) to ship me some since they aren't available here (they never were) Swiss Cheese Crackers as a previous poster mentioned 3D Doritos - I don't like regular ones, they hurt my mouth but I loved these The older version of the Chunky bar - it was better than the Nestle version (although that one is still good) And my number one wish? That I could still buy British chocolate here in my local (US) shops - the selection has dwindled to just a couple and they are not as authentic - my KitKat bar was made in Poland and I'm not sure about the Galaxy bar but it was obviously marketed for the Malta/Greece/Cyprus region with markings in Greek and English Do you have a Cost Plus World Market near you? They carry some imported chocolates. I love when they have marzipan for the holidays.

Arbonne used to make a great facial cleanser that was super gentle. I have super sensitive, super dry skin, and that old Arbonne stuff made my face feel like a baby's butt. They discontinued it years ago (2006 or 2007), reformulated everything, and raised their prices. (And it was already pretty expensive to begin with!) Now I can get something similar from one of Arbonne's "specialty" lines, but it's four times as expensive and smells different. Boo, Arbonne! OceanSpray White Cran Peach water enhancer was the bomb. It's been gone for 3 years now. Sniffle. Still miss it! Crystal Light sort of discontinued Strawberry Kiwi water enhancer at the same time, but I've been finding it at Walmart lately. My sister loved Ranch Fritos. They discontinued those in 1998 or so. Two years ago, Ranch Fritos appeared in Walmart. I took a picture and sent it to my sister, and the next day I went back to get her a bag. They were *gone*. That fast. Unbelievable! I ate the hell out of Ranch Fritos when I was pregnant with DS- he was born in 1998. Apparently, once I wasn't pregnant any more, they couldn't sell them! Lol

I love when they have marzipan for the holidays. not that I'm aware of but I'll have a search and see - might be worth a drive. I have a local(ish - about 45 min) grocery store that carries imported foods from the UK - they used to have a decent selections of candies but the new import rules (thanks Hershey) have killed that

I thought of another... Doritos made a blue cheese and buffalo wing flavored chip that wad out of this world good. I could eat a whole bag in one sitting. Ok, I can eat a whole bag of pretty much any flavor chip in one sitting, but these were seriously good. Oh! Doritos Black Pepper Jack or good old fashioned straight-from-the-70's TACO DORITOS!!!! I'm counting calories, but good heavens, I would do 100 sit-ups for some of those discontinued Doritos right now........

Clearly Canadian beverages. I heard rumor they were coming back but have seen nothing to confirm it. Bath and Body Works Pomander Orange Spice holiday scent. I still have a couple bottles of the body spray hoarded but I love love love that scent. Edited to add: solid, non scented deodorant. Not invisible solid. Solid solid, the kind that leaves the white marks and doesn't make my armpits itch. Agree on the solid non-scented deodorant....the others leave my armpits sticky

The original Herbal Essence (NOT Herbal Essences) Shampoo from the '60s and '70s... that shampoo smelled so good! I have no idea if it was all that good for the hair, but the smell just takes me back! Yessss! This smelled so nice, way back in the 70's. I've looked for it several times and it's gone. Herbal Essences is not the same at all.

Drixoral. It worked better than the other OTC meds for most of the people in my family. They still sell this in Canada: DrixoralThank you! I learned that during an internet search after a pharmacist told me it wasn't available anymore. I'm in the US, and though I suppose I could buy it from Canada online, I haven't tried to do so. I have no problem buying crafting supplies and hockey gear from international sellers, but am wary about buying drugs.

Jello Pudding pops and Jello pops too, tuna pot pies, and some Gyro kit they used to sell at Sams club years and years ago. Oh and these Swiss cheese crackers, that looked like Swiss cheese... The Swiss cheese cheese its are close, but not as good. Was it Opaa? (If so, I know my grocery store still carries it... and that link is to WalMart, so maybe a super WalMart near you has it.) This reminds me that I also miss Nabsico heyday bars. At least, I think they were nabisco. Anyhow, they were something we always bought on vacation. They taste good with lake water, sand, fish guts, and campfire embers. LOL. Maybe! Not sure who made them. Unfortunately, none in a 60 mi radius:( Thanks though!

The original Tart n Tinys from the 80s. They were similar to Sweet Tarts in taste, but we're little cylindrical shaped pellets of sugar. My favorite were the lime ones! And speaking of lime flavored candy, why the hell have most of the candy companies discontinued lime flavored goodies??? They're all sour apple now which is just friggan disgusting!!! Preach! Sour apple or watermelon which is equally disgusting. And both of those give me really nasty breath!

OH!!! Thought of one more I would nearly give a limb to have again and that is Frosty Angel Cakes. I think they were from Dolly Madison. Anyway, it was a small bar of dense angelfood cake covered with about a half inch thick slab of pink really sugary frosting. So bad, but SOOOOO good! It seemed like the only place I'd ever see them was at gas stations and whenever I would come across some I would always get two or three of them and then ration them over a few days or a week. I was so very sad when it was apparent they were gone for good.

Have you tried Constant Comment tea? It's orange spice and very good. Also, Stash tea has an orange spice variety that is good.

This would go waaayyyy back to maybe early 70s, but Baskin-Robbins used to make an ice cream called Licorice VooDoo. I loved it as a child -- it was the only flavor I ordered. I can't usually find anyone who even remembers that it existed, but I promise, it was not a figment of my imagination. I ate scoop after scoop of it back in the day.
