Share something you heard, saw, etc. lately that made you think of the Peas. All in good fun, of course! Just a couple: While reading the comments on a local news story I noticed a couple names that instantly made me think of one of those baby name threads: Temptresse and Preshiz. They're not related. Carts left in parking spaces not more than ten feet from the cart corral Shrieking unattended children running amuk in Marshall's MIL tagging me in no less than five unrelated news articles yesterday on fb. Please...Just stop Your turn

DH and I went to a concert few weeks ago..it was held in a smallish venue so they had fold out chairs in rows. Well this lady decided to save a whole row (maybe 10-12 chairs total) for her people who hadn't all arrived yet by folding up the chairs and laying them down in the spot. I instantly thought of the Peas! LOL!!

My colonoscopy today made me think of the Peas. Only because I've learned so much valuable information about colonoscopies from you all…

I think sometimes of the peas who say "Just because you're in the merge lane with your blinker on doesn't mean I'm obligated to let you over" when someone in traffic is clearly thinking the same thing.

My trip to Costco yesterday. The people abandoning their carts to crowd around a sample table, creating a roadblock for the rest of us trying to get down an aisle.
The woman who helped herself to 3 samples, which were the last ones, and she stood there and ate them all herself, leaving other people to have to wait for the representative to cook more.
The man that I accidentally cut off as we were both heading for the roasted chickens who said, very loudly, "after you, sweetheart" and as I tried to apologize, twice, refused to hear my apology. I was very sincere about it too. I figured that makes him the ass for not acknowledging my apology for being an ass and stepping into his path.
And finally, the cart situation in the parking lot. A woman abandoned her cart in the middle of the empty handicapped parking space she was parked next to. Anyone trying to park there would have to get out of their car to move her cart, which would most likely be very difficult, if not impossible for a handicapped driver. I gave her my best stink eye and moved her cart. She pretended not to see me.
I'm going to Walmart today to pick up the few items we can't get at Costco. I may have more to add.

Whenever someone just stops dead on their tracks in a store in the middle of an aisle instead of pulling off to the side and shoppers who just drive their carts like they are the only ones in the store. I especially hate the ones who are pushing their carts forward while still looking behind them. Watch where you are going!! I think of the peas cuz no self-respecting pea would ever do that. I also think of the peas anytime DH and I disagree on something, we've talked it out and still disagree. Then I say I'm asking the peas.

I would add but can't think of any specific ones. But I do think (sometimes multiple times a day), wow and I would have never known this wasn't common/normal/usual if it wasn't for the Peas. My mother often asked "where did you hear [see] that ?" in an amazed voice, and then answers her own question...hahaha.

I watched an episode of Dr. Phil the other day where this woman was constantly wiping down everything and everyone with wipes. Even a stranger's child! I told my husband, "I'll bet she's a Pea!"

I thought of the Peas when waiting for a thank you note for a quilt I sent for a new baby and it was 2 months past
I always think of the Peas when putting my cart away. I am terrified someone will notice if I don't put it away and squeal on me to the Peas LOL
Others times include people stopping in the middle of the aisle at the grocery store, toddlers screaming at the store, newborns without covers on them when it is cold, thank you notes sent via Facebook, notifications of life events via Facebook, hubby giving me lip, converstations with adult children and aon and on.
I really owe the Peas a lot of graditude for without them I would just be ignorant and act terrible.

This one is pretty random, but my toddler currently insists that she is a "tiny baby". I was being silly with her the other day and said "oh, sweet tiny baby", which instantly reminded me of "Sweet Tiny Jamie" LOL.

I am reminded of the peas every day as I am taking a class about social media and online communities and have used this community as an example in some of my discussions. thank you for being a part of my path to my PhD, peas.

I was reading the comments to a local news story and someone commented that the other person was a "total moran"...I immediately thought of the peas.
Spelling and correct grammar is terribly absent in my community. It causes me to bounce between feeling sorry for them and feeling stabby.

Spelling and grammar, grocery baskets, misbehaving kids, scrapbook related shopping, a good book, driving through a town where I know a pea lives.... So many things. I once talked to dh all the way through Tacoma, telling him about Helena Jole, her dh and kids. He didnt say much, I wonder what he was thinking!
I'm sure I'll think of more.

At American Eagle yesterday, an employee was asking another employee to straighten up the table of the "p" word for women's underwear (my least favorite word ever!!). I though of this board because I see that word a lot here, peas must not mind it as much as my friends and I do.

The Peas pop into my head often during the day. And now they're even invading my sleep! Last Friday night I had a dream that linda~lou came to Australia and stayed at my house. I was so excited and we made heaps of plans of all the fun things we were going to do. When I woke up the next morning I couldn't work out why I'd dreamed of Linda. Then I sat down to breakfast..... crumpets that I'd bought the night before on the way home from work! If any of you are wondering why crumpets make me think of Linda: It relates to a thread - about crumpets - quite some time ago.

Last weekend we were in Dallas for a college football game and my husband and I stayed in one room and my daughter and her college roommates stayed in another room. I went down to my daughter's room before we checked out and handed her a few dollars and said "Leave this for the maid."
My daughter's friend looked surprised and said "Are you supposed to leave a tip for the maid?"
I thought of the peas and said "some people do and some people don't."
I couldn't help but think about all the threads we've had on this topic and how strongly peas on both sides of the issue feel about the matter.

Every time I pass by the ginormous boxes of Uncrustables in the freezer section at Costco.
Every time I see a cart that isn't properly corralled outside the grocery store.
Every time I'm walking to the bus stop to drop off or pick up my kid and I'm NOT wearing my kitten heels. (Which happens to be EVERY time, LOL.)
Every time I see anyone wearing a clutch-worthy strand of pearls.
Every time I send or receive a thank you note.
That's just off the top of my head, I think of the Peas all the time!

Whenever I flush a public toilet using my hand, I think of the peas. Ha ha ha! In fact, every time I'm IN a public restroom I think of the Peas. LOL I thought of one more. Recently I happened to be somewhere where there was sort of a potluck. Took a square of some delicious looking treat, stabbed my fork into it and revealed about a 5" long piece of hair! Yup, tossed the whole thing right in the trash and immediately thought of the Peas who would undoubtedly tell me, "See? I *TOLD* you so!"

I wish dreams did come true, visiting you and Australia would be a huge check off my bucket list. And I haven't had crumpets lately either, now I'm want one, like now! I'll have to add them to my shopping list! I'm going to try real hard to dream about you, Australia and crumpets tonight!!!!!
