Tim Gunn tweeted (ETA, that was FB, not a tweet):
To me that's pretty clear he did, otherwise why post anything at all? I'm glad though, he's been consistent all season and I think he deserves a shot.

Wow, the judges had some harsh criticisms! I missed the very end of the show (why does PR do this every week? It consistently runs over a few minutes!). How did everyone react when they got back to the lounge? I felt the worst for Candice--they were very harsh to her and basically accused her of copying another designer! And when Heidi made the remark about "What's with the weird long eyebrows??" I thought, omg, those are CANDICE'S eyebrows! I know I'm just a simple midwestern girl , but I'm often surprised at the criticism. I thought all of their collections looked beautiful tbh. Ashley's were my least favorite. I'm not a fan of pastel and I'm not a fan of lace and neither seem like what a plus-sized girl would want to wear. I also saw exactly what they meant about the fit and finishes, but those seem like easy concrete fixes. It's odd that the collection I liked the least got the best feedback from them. Shows what I know! I also thought the red outfit of Candice's was beautiful and I think they liked that the least! It's just strange to me when I hear them say that it's too costumey and I think of some of the designs she won with (like the outfit from the trip to Broadway I believe it was). I also think about what I've seen going down runways in other shows (not necessarily PR). I guess I just don't get it.

I mostly agreed with the judges’ critiques, though I don’t know how the designers can make that happen in such a short period of time.
Ashley – 1950s Mexican – I didn’t get that vibe at all. 1950s Mexican ladies’ fashion was all about prints and bright colors with a dose of kitsch. Her dresses seemed like the opposite, actually. She may also have been channeling Frida Kahlo with the floral headdresses, which are pretty, but not in excess like she has planned. I appreciate her hand-dyeing the fabrics, though, because that was labor-intensive.
Kelly - 1970s/Studio 54 – Close, but not quite there. I think her clothes need some more oomph. If she had been a bit more outrageous and daring, she might have nailed the look.
Edmond - Glamor/Sexy - I didn’t get that from his dresses. The gown with the ruffles looked like something Mrs. Danvers in Rebecca would wear. The other two are pretty but they’re not really glamorous to me.
Candice – Asian-inspired quasi-avant-garde – I actually liked what she showed. I found the black dresses very dramatic, and I found the red & white outfit stylish. (I think we all sort of knew Edmond would get Tim’s save.)

I agreed w/ most of the judges' comments.
Kelly's collection looked like it came from the Macys Juniors Department
I thought Edmond's and Candice's collections were boring and unoriginal.
I love the fact that Ashley was using lace, but her designs didn't wow me.

And HOW can they NOT have their collection done when they get there??! This phenomenon always puzzles me! I actually liked Edmond's ruffle dress. I loved the bow dress. But I really dislike the tiered bubble dresses in his collection. I dug Candice's hat and gloves. It's a fashion show! I've grown to really like Kelli and I want to root for her, but I just don't like her designs.

Will Ashley have one thin model in her line-up? (Her original model)
Trivia: I once read that "plus-sized" models are often a size 12-14. Granted, designer 12-14 is probably bigger than mainstream 12-14, but still...

I think the judging has to be harsher at the end, for all of them this is the first time at fashion week, so they don't know what to expect, but the judges do. Plus normally through the show they are being compared to everyone else, so even if a design isn't great on it's own terms, it can still be the best and win in a regular episode. Now they aren't being compared to each other but are being judged on their own merits, so every flaw is being highlighted and no-ine walks away feeling great because even though they were criticised they still "won".
I agreed with most of the comments, I really like Kelly, but even as her looks walked the runway I was thinking that I could almost make those, she basically had lycra pants & lycra short skirt. Somehow she managed to take almost $10,000 and make it look cheap. I think all her little details are fantastic up close, but on the runway they just got lost.
I was really shocked that Edmund wasn't ready, he probably had the best time management in the season, and he arrived with hardly anything done. I wouldn't have thought that. Candace gets so involved in herself she doesn't listen, Tim told her it was costume and drag queen, and she still kept going down that path anyway. If she keeps this up, she might get to be a designer on Ru Paul's Drag race, but I doubt there's much fame or money to be had there.
Ashley and Candace should swap fabrics, I can see Ashley's looks being much better in red & black and lace and a bit of leather. In reality many normal/plus sized women like to wear black and feel sexy with a bit of lace, a few weeks ago Ashley wore a form fitting black skirt with a sheer bottom and a gold sequin cardigan, so I don't understand why she designs differently to how she often dresses herself. Pale pastels and pale lace isn't something I see fuller figured woman wearing very often because if it's done wrong it can add extra weight. I see the skinny model type women Candace designs for wearing more see through lace and pastel colours, tight floral pants and Ashley's crop top look in a leather lace could look great, but if it's all black leather, red corsets & lace ups it's always doing to have that dominatrix vibe.

I thought I read that plus-sized models were like size 8 or 10, which would be considered a normal, fit, thin woman. And when you think about it, the standard model is a zero or 2, so that is quite a bit bigger. The whole thing is nonsense though as none of it reflects real life. But, honestly, when models walk the runway, I generally don't even think of them as women, I think of them as walking coat hangers.

If you look at the sneek peek of final collections, you'll see they are quite different from what we saw last night. Candice's huge red dress is now sans the hoop, Edmund added color, can't remember Kelly, some changes and Ashley's look about the same minus a few hats. Maybe the fit is better, couldn't really tell. Ashley's were horrible though. I can't see anyone wearing them no matter what your size. Just awful.
I liked Edmund's the best but all in all, worst season ever!!!!

I take this last judge criticism with a grain of salt, and drama. Remember the yr they told the guy to lose all the fringe? there was too much? his runway show was ALL fringe. He ignored them. And he won, and now look at the big fringe push out there.

Now all of the designers have to retool in a panicked frenzy at the start of the next episode.

And he won, and now look at the big fringe push out there. I do remember that season. Based on things I've read in the past, I'll bet that the criticism they showed last night went on for hours and there were probably a lot of positive things said as well, but the comments were edited in a way that made it sound like the judges hated 3 of the 4 collections.

Kelly's clothes always look so cheap to me and as someone else mentioned, so junior. Who else noticed that in her own closet she had the same jumpsuit with the opposite fabrics on the bottom (not sure how to describe it) that she made on one of the shows? And why would anyone want to revisit the 70's? The clothes from that decade were awful!
I like that Ashley is using truly plus-size models. Thank goodness. But her clothes mostly look like something you could already buy, to me. And she doesn't seem to get proportions right much of the time, which is odd. The headdresses are cute, but make me think of Charo or the Chiquita Banana girl more than Frida Kahlo.
I missed the critiques; I'll have to watch those online. Just caught the very end of the show, with Candice looking horrified. Even though Edmond's ruffle dress with the long sleeves was rather severe and had a touch of The Addams Family to it, I thought it was dramatic and interesting, and I could see it on a red carpet.
I've been searching for spoilers of the Fashion Week shows, not just for these four designers but for the other three or so that are the decoys, and I've had no luck at all. In previous seasons someone here has been able to find them online. Can anyone find them?

I'm with jackie ; I didn't like Ashley's collection at all, but that's the one the judges seemed happiest with. The one poor model with the ill-fitted bra top that barely covered her chest - Ashley should've put that aside completely and shown something else, and ditto for the outfit where the model was wearing a regular bra underneath but the back was open. I didn't love the pastel lace. I don't dislike lace, but it can often look cheap, look like lingerie, or look like cheap lingerie. I do appreciate her dying skills though. I did actually like her headpieces - perhaps she should become a haberdasher instead - those showed more of what I was hoping to see from her. Kelly... I liked some of the trim close-ups that were shown during Tim's home visit, but as far as the pieces she showed, I think I would've preferred to see something more colorful and fun. It does look like stuff my dd might buy at Forever 21, but that seems to be what Kelly does best, so who knows. She has a marvelous attitude though. Candice's things looked exactly like what I expected to see from her; I was surprised they pretty much slammed her. Seeing it last night, my impression of her collection is higher than what my thoughts were when I looked at the runway spoilers a few weeks ago, so I'm curious whether I've changed my mind or whether she reworks her stuff in an underwhelming way. Edmond - I loved the bow dress so much! The piece he made in 20 minutes or whatever was cute and something I would actually wear. The ruffle gown was interesting to me - not necessarily something I'd expect from him, but I liked it the more I saw it.

What's with the weird long eyebrows??" I thought, omg, those are CANDICE'S eyebrows! OMG! Get outta my head! I said the exact same thing! She styled them to look like her! LOL... Did anyone notice Candice's daughter was named Pernicus??? Cute kids though. Didn't enjoy her collection. I thought it was also a bit too McQueen and said so to DH when we watched today. I liked Edmond's. I hope he doesn't go back and go TOO sexy or else they will bash him for going "hoochie". The judges can't be consistent!!! Ashley's looked bridal to me. Nina was right. Mother of the bride. The girls looked like elderly ladies. (no offense to any elderly ladies!) Kelly's looked like a ten year old designed it. Too much going on and the fabrics were strange. WOOD GRAIN??? UGH>

More errant thoughts:
-I think they're tiptoeing around Ashley because of the first-plus-sized thing. She's either getting a good critique or a good edit or both. The bra and fit problems probably would have garnered much more judge-clucking if someone else had had done it.
-Did anyone else notice how cute Candice looked in the interview shots where she's wearing grey? I think she had less makeup on...or maybe it just didn't look so stark when not against black. She looked younger.
-The beach scene in San Francisco (brrrr!) where poor Candice is huddled in her black clothes and Tim is going sockless? Cracked me up. (As did Tim's namesake sandwich at Kelli's Deli.)
-Two hours?! No wonder I was getting so twitchy...

Thank you! Pernicus? For a GIRL? Good grief. Anyone else think that Candice looks way older than 27? I don't think she's doing herself any favors with the whole Morticia Addams meets Cleopatra look.

Just looked at Merline and Swapnil's collections. Merline did the same dress 10 times with her stupid hat worn in the same stupid way she wears hers.
Swapnil's was interesting. A lot of variety and color.

I just looked at the six collections.
It's a damn shame that Swapnil sabotaged himself because his east-meets-west collection is divine. Glorious color palette. Amazing movement that's visible in the photos. To me it looks as though he was working with at least four times as much money as anyone else.
I said it before; he is by far the best designer of the bunch. He just didn't show it on PR.

The judges really let them have it last night. I'm sure it lasted way longer than what we saw. It looked like Candice and Kelly had been crying. They all have a lot of work to do, and judging by the final collections, a lot of changes were made across the board.

I've only watched a few episodes this season but wow, I hardly saw anything I liked out of the final designers on the last episode. Fanny packs and 70s? Really, we need to go there? And pastel, lace crop tops for the plus size collection. I'm a plus sized lady and I never think to myself "Gosh you know what I need? A see through crop top."

I liked Ashley's the least and she got the best critique. I'm usually opposite of what the judges think anyway. Kelly's was horrible, it looked like she threw those pieces together in a day. Candice and Edmond's I thought were the two best and they got the harshest critiques.
Did anyone think it was strange that on the home visit Candice took him to the beach. It got me wondering if she was embarrassed to bring him to her house and why?

I thought they said Candace's daughter was named Persaeus. I didn't mind her collection. I didn't love the red & white fabric but her other pieces were totally her.
Ashley's was my least favorite. Those did not look like clothes for a younger woman. I did like the pink fabric with the diamond pattern. Those headpieces are way too much.
Kelly's collection looked like her. I didn't love her fabrics. I like her hair when she leaves it down. Not loving the fanny packs.
It seemed like Edmund really toned it down for this. Plus who comes without a finished collection?
