I have been trying to make my loungewear a bit more stylish and am curious what everyone else wears around the house once they get home from work but not necessarily to bed. Now that it is cold I typically wear long pants (my favorites right now are from Walmart--the only ones I could find in the petites), a cute sweatshirt or lounge shirt (usually from TJMaxx).
So, what are you wearing these days? Do you have favorite brands or styles (particularly short ladies)?

I don't think I'll be much help, as I am not stylish.
I typically wear just a pair of PJ pants and a (non-matching) t-shirt or camisole.
Hotter weather, I'll wear mens basketball shorts instead of long pants.

I am not ashamed to admit that if I am not leaving the house, I will just put on my robe and pjs when I get home from work. Why not be comfy and save myself the effort of changing clothes again in a few hours anyway?

I work from home so I am typically pretty casual all day, so I don't change into anything before bed, just wear what I had on all day.

I work from home so I have sweats or yoga pants on for the day, usually right until bedtime. In the winter I will more often change to funky pattern pj pants and a sweater or a matching pj top and bottom. If I worked outside the home I can guarantee you in the winter I would put pjs on directly after work.
I love pjs from la Vie en Rose, pretty sure they're Canadian. Their new stuff comes out and is $50/set and in no time it's discounted to $30 then $20.... You can get separates from the previous season for $5-9 and often 40% off that. So my girls and I have a bunch of stuff from there.

I bought some nice pjs from Kohls last spring that I love. Some are flannel, some are fleece and a few are thinner cotton. I wear the fleece and flannel as soon as it's cool enough and I wear the thinner ones in the spring. I don't sleep in any of them, though. I put on a nightgown after my evening shower for bed.
If I'm going to be outside in the yard, in my garden, I have some old stained yoga pants and shirts.

Many days I don't get dressed in 'street clothes'. The exceptions are if I have to go out in public or if I know someone besides my close friends are coming over. My typical 'staying at home' outfit consists of a big comfy t-shirt and a pair of pj pants, or a nightshirt, the t-shirt type material kind.
Oh, and fluffy socks. Gotta have those!
I am all about comfort at this stage of my life. Even before I retired, I would be changed into something comfy within 10 minutes of walking in the door. If I had to run out later, I would get re-dressed.

In the winter I will change into something super comfy - but not at all fashionable - like track pants. If I know for sure that I don't have to go anywhere or that no-one is coming over I will get straight into my PJs.

Cotton drawstring pants and a comfy t shirt (no bra of course). I make an attempt at matching, but only occasionally. My only goal after a long day is to be comfortable, not stylish. My DH is like the dad on Goldbergs....his pants come off the second he gets in the house. I'm treated to his tshirt and briefs.

Not fashionable, but comfy, which I am all about at this time in my life. I usually wear yoga type pants (summer) or flannel pj pants (winter) with tshirt or sweatshirt/thermal.

I just bought my first pair of Lululemon athletic pants (I have their running gear and it's lasted 7 years already). They were pricey, but I'm *living* in them now!
The reason I bought them is because I have a 34" inseam, and these come in "long" sizes!!! Hooray!

Comfy all the way. If I have to go out I will put on street clothes but I have been known to run out to the grocery store in my yoga pants which is what I wear if I don't have to go anywhere. Street clothes are on this body only for as long as it takes to come and go.
I usually pair the the yoga pants with a tee shirt with sleeves appropriate for the weather. I do not wear a bra unless I am going off my property and sometimes not even then if I decide to wear an undershirt. I change into my night clothes sometime after supper.
DH changes into sweatpants when he is done for the day which is a pretty sad sight indeed so my being stylish would be a waste of time. Besides who wants to pay extra for clothes that no one else is going to see.

I have some flannel pjs and some stretchy cotton pj pants and tops. What I really dislike about the cotton pj tops is that they are so thin- if I'm wearing those, I'm not wearing a bra, so better coverage would be nice! In the summer, I have pj capris and tops. I'm short, but I am able to wear them from penneys, target, pajamagram.

Nothing stylish or fancy. Long (Usually TOO long) lounge pants (Usually flannel, sometimes football related) with a T-shirt.

I just stay in my work clothes until I go to bed. I hate changing clothes, so I stay in the same thing all day.

Not sure I understand the concept of "stylish" loungewear. What does that mean? What's the purpose? Does it matter that one is stylish at home? Just seems weird to me. Home is where you let it all hang out and you don't have to worry about impressing others. I wear a t-shirt and yoga pants or jammie bottoms. I won't win any fashion awards but that's not why I am wearing it. I am wearing it because I want to be comfortable in my own home.

Huh, really, we're supposed to have pre-jammies? Oh heck no. I do enough damned laundry each week as it is. I go from my day clothes to jammies.

I don't get why loungewear has to be stylish either, it seems a bit of a silly concept to me. I just wear a dressing gown over my jammies, when I'm at home it's just a dressing gown over my nakedness.

Well I'll admit to wearing "loungewear" around the house if I'm home during the day and in the evenings before bed. I've found that JJill fits the bill for that. And they do petites (you mentioned being height challenged). Never buy anything full price there, if they're not having a sale today chances are they will have one within a week!

I'm the same as most others... tshirt paired with shorts in warm weather or pj pants in cold... also with the fuzzy socks...
Nothing stylish about hanging out at home... im all about comfort

I don't have loungewear. When I get home, first the shoes come off, then the bra. I leave on my regular clothes until bedtime, when I change into my PJs

The minute I get home I put on my pajamas. Micro Fleece button up top with a cami underneath (I like to layer) with the matching bottoms in cold months. Pj shorts and a racer back top in warmer months. Usually pink, my favorite color.

I explode out of my work clothes the minute I walk through the door and put on a t-shirt or sweatshirt and a pair of the world's greatest stretchy pants from Land's End: Lands End Activewear Pants These things are awesome, I've had two pairs of them for probably more than 5 years and they still are like new. They don't fade, they come in Tall size (joy!) and they do not shrink, so I don't end up with dorky looking floods after a few washes. These are worth every penny.

I wear my Karen Neuburger nightgowns all day if I'm not going anywhere. To me they are like my "housecoat". That's what it was called back in the real old days

I wear what I sleep in: usually yoga pants and a sweatshirt (in the winter) or a tee shirt or a cami (in the warmer months). But then, I'm not a very fashionable person.
