Man, they have the best deals! I admit, collecting makeup is my bad habit, but I love it so. I bought this a couple of weeks ago.. and still haven't really opened it. I was iffy on the eye palettes but I like the rest. I have been thinking of splitting it with DD (age 21) but thought I'd see if anyone has it and loves it first. Tarte TSV Today it's Bare Minerals.. I can't decide if I need this one too! Bare Minerals TSVTo top it off, IT Cosmetics has one on 11/20 that I'll probably "need". Does anyone have any reviews?

I like Bare minerals, but I don't use the products in the tsv. I use their eye liner. I really love IT cosmetics mascara! I'll be watching on the 20th to see if it goes on sale, I'm almost out. I don't know anything about Tarte.

I have the Tarte Eye Shadow and love it, if it were me I would keep the Tarte and ditch the Bare Minerals. I used to use BE but not a fan of it anymore, I feel like I've grown up with my makeup and BE just doesn't do it for me anymore.

I would like to try the new diamond mineral veil, I like those brushes.... I don't do eyeliner, but I am always on the lookout for something that will help me learn to do it well, and I think the cream is my best shot. But hey, if your DD doesn't want those tarte palettes, we should talk. I don't like anything else in that set but those, which is why I have yet to buy the tarte set.

What is TSV?
I've used and enjoyed bare minerals for probably close to a decade.
Recently I ordered It Cosmetics CC cream. I have acne free, sensitive and dry skin. I like the coverage - which I would consider pretty light to maybe medium light coverage. What I don't like is the fact it stings my skin going on and until it dries.
I looked at the ingredient list, which was shocking the amount of chemicals in it. It goes up both sides of the probably 7" box. The grapefruit extract is likely what stings I've decided.
I also was surprised the second ingredient is actually snail secretion! Truly!
I'm not certain if I'd buy it again in the future. I don't love it or dislike it but for $40 I think I'd like something with less chemical.

The It CC cream is a problem and for the exact reason you named-the grapefruit extract is a sensitizing agent. Even for those who don't initially feel any stinging and love the coverage (and I know lots of women who are obsessed with this product), you can experience sensitizing after using it. For more info, read the review here that explains it better than me. And read the customer reviews, because they agree with exactly what you are saying. Also, TSV=Today's Special Value, the best price for something on QVC.

BE is one of the few makeup lines I can wear and not react. I often get the TSV bc it's such a great deal, but I'm passing on this one. It seems too sparkly, which just makes my more oil-prone skin look greasy.
I did get the TSV with their newer liquid makeup and brush in September though. The colors in that one were fantastic for me and I was almost out of the liquid makeup ( I tried on a whim and love). The blush and lip colors are nice on me. that kit was probably my favorite in a long time!

I love the coverage, but when you look close it looks weird to me. I really, really wanted to love it. I went back to the powder stuff which I've been wearing forever and still love. I did love the liquid concealer in that TSV a lot.

I have recently returned to BE after a long hiatus. I like how it doesn't feel like anything on my skin. That being said, I am passing the TSV by. I am not a big fan of the lash domination mascara, and I hate, hate, hate the marvelous moxie lipglosses. I just don't think I can make the rest of the contents into something that is worth the cost for me.

I am a huge QVC makeup lover. I have bought I would say TONS of stuff (TSVs and other items) from QVC over the last 18 years (they stopped shipping to Canada) and I have always been impressed with the makeup lines they carry and the products themselves. I have bought Bare Minerals, Philosophy and Bobbi Brown and something else that I can't remember. (Think lots). I have a Sephora in the mall now so I am ok without QVC, but I loved the peels that QVC sells for Philosophy and they were all great. Their return policy was excellent and I can't say enough good things. I understand the addiction!

I did love the liquid concealer in that TSV a lot. I bet you're either using the wrong color or too much of the makeup (or both). Do you have a Sephora or Ulta near you? If so, i'd go get matched with the color foundation and have them show you what they do to apply it. It really takes just a smidge of makeup to cover. I drop one heavy drop on the brush and then sort of dot it on both cheeks, chin and forehead. Then I swirl that into my skin. I'm very happy with the coverage. If I need a bit more i just buff those areas more after the initial buffing. Hope that makes sense. I liked the concealer in that kit, too!
