My MIL asked me what I'd like for Christmas...they set a $50 limit. I have absolutely no clue what to ask for. I don't want to ask for a gift card..too generic.
What are you hoping for this year? Maybe I can snag an idea or two!

I want a spiralizer, despite my lack of storage for what is really a single use appliance. That's in your price range.

I'd love one of the iGrill devices that uses wireless to tell you the ambient inside temp of your grill or smoker or internal temp of the food you are cooking. It works with an app on your cell. I think the single thermometer one is well within your price range, but I know it's not every one's cup of tea.
I also wouldn't mind one of the new wireless garden devices that will tell you the temp via wireless app. I would like to know when the temp reaches a certain point so I know to go raise or lower my bed covers during the winter. LOL I know, this is definitely a specialized wish, but DH would prefer this wish to my earlier request for more bunny poop compost. (Though he insisted that was a family expense, not a personal want, and made me go ahead and get it. He expects to be rewarded with lots of tomatoes come summer!)

Acuquilt die cutter for fabric. I don't *need* one, but it would be handy.

Hmmm, I can think of a few things a would like for Christmas, but I am getting a dishwasher instead! haha Ours died 3 weeks ago and well DH and I both just had birthdays, so our birthday and Christmas gifts to each other is the dishwasher. Being a grown up has its drawbacks at times :/ In all seriousness, we both agreed that this was necessary and I am fine with it.
Now if I could I would ask for a NAP throw blanket from brookstone, a vera bradley ID zip case and lanyard, or a Pendleton motor robe throw blanket.

There was another thread like this a while ago and I said I couldn't really think of anything because I just got a new laptop for work that I wasn't planning on buying yet. But I would like the new Apple TV for the lake cabin and I could use the old one at home in my studio.
What will I *probably* get? A windshield and roof for DH's Ranger ATV. I hate that the thing doesn't have a windshield, and he's hoping I'll want to drive it if it gets one!
Honestly though, for $50 or less I would really rather just have the cash or a gift card. I'd rather pick out my own clothes, and I don't really need anything else for my house. Maybe a GC for my hair salon so I could get a hair cut, or a craft store (or Tuesday Morning!!) so I can buy scrapping junk guilt free.
Slippers, or a couple pairs of them. I wear slippers or shoes in the house all the time and I wear them out pretty fast.

If you have Amazon Prime, the $49 Fire tablet would be great. We got one for my mom and I'm very impressed with it. It's not for me since I use Google apps, but it's a great tablet for basic things like internet access, handling email, using apps from the Amazon AppStore (not Google Playstore) and, especially, easily accessing all your Amazon Prime content.
Our household will be getting one under the tree just because it makes using our Prime content, Alexa, and Fire TV is so easy.

I think I might ask for one of those plush throws from Sam's someone posted in another thread. I don't need another blanket, but there isn't much of anything I truly NEED at this point in my life and come winter, I will want a blanket in the living room (I keep the thermostat low so that the bedroom stays cold). I could use a couple of new pots with clear lids... especially a smaller one. (Somehow, my smallest of a set of three, a nice, heavy pot, got dented on one side so the lid doesn't fit and I have to use a really too-big pot for making a cup of rice. I have zero idea how that dent could have happened.) The finish is coming off the others. The ones I have now came as open stock from TJMaxx... I might have to just go over there myself. For $50, your MIL could get you a three-month subscription to Birchbox if you wanted to try that, and have a little leftover. I would still be asking for CDs, because I like to have the physical media to rip and transfer to my MP3 player. I am not sure if you are a crafter, but I need another one of these for my sequins. I LOVE this notepad from Kate Spade... and then I was browsing around and there are other cool notepads and pens and sticky note sets from her... you could get a couple of things for $50.

Well, since my birthday is Sunday I am thinking more about that! DH suggested the kids get me new jammies. I've lost about 30 pounds and have replaced most of my wardrobe myself. But put off getting new jammies, well because no one see them but DH! LOL! But they are all very baggy and get twisted easily in bed. That might work for you too! I got a new Keurig from my mom for my birthday, so variety packs of k cups can be a gift idea. I'm also getting a new iMac, it will be my birthday gift . . . but my current one is really glitchy and is about 7 or 8 years old. So Office for Mac and the new Photoshop Elements are also included . . . Don't know that this will help you!

No one ever asks me haha. Hmmm, I would like a small hiking backpack and if I really wanted to dream, a wide angle lens for my camera. I want but definitely don't know why, the kitchenaid spiral attachment but that woudl be low in practicality. I have worn out my Bearpaw slippers because I also wear them all the time. And if my daughter were really thinking she would get me Lightroom for my computer, more because she wants it and knows I would use it.

I have to make a list for hubby and I make a pinterest board for my wish list as well for the daughters as they ask for one. My prime want is a Kindle Fire, I have one of the old ones and it is time to update. Also, I would like a smart watch, kitty cat stitch markers for my knitting, a spinner ring, a fan that hangs around the neck, and a few quilt/craft books from my wishlist on Amazon.

I never have an issue coming up with gift suggestions for things I would like!
Right now on my Amazon wish list: -old t.v. shows from my childhood (60s/70s) on DVD (Bewitched, Big Valley, Six Million Dollar Man, Star Trek Original, Etc.) -camera batteries -camera cards -photography books
Other things I would enjoy that are $50 or less: -slippers -thick pile faux fur throw blanket -pretty handmade camera neck strap -perfume -assortment of K cups -photo frames -thick bath robe (I have a few, but love them in all different colours) -nice selection of cheeses, olives, salami, etc. to enjoy in front of the fire with a nice glass of wine -nice bottle (or two) of wine -costume jewelry -steak knives -word jumble puzzle books

I LOVE this notepad from Kate Spade... and then I was browsing around and there are other cool notepads and pens and sticky note sets from her... you could get a couple of things for $50. Those throws are amazing! I can't believe they're $16. I've washed mine, and it came out even fluffier. My cats think that I bought it for them. I got the tan and cream one and love the classic lattice design. The backside is solid tan, and it has a pretty pattern pressed into the fabric like embossed paper has. I added the tiny item holder that you linked from Amazon and said that you use it for your sequins. I have a lot of seed beads and plan on making a lot of tiny punches from paper, fabric, felt and thin plastic to use on cards and other papercrafts. I had no idea where to store them without my work area looking like it was attacked by confetti. I love Kate Spade, but your link didn't work. I checked their website and saw some really cute items. I love the charms. My favourite item was an iPhone holder/wallet wristlet. It was made for the iPhone 6, but I think my iPhone 5s will fit just fine even inside the otterbox case--a reviewer said their phone in a case fit. One of the reviewers said that there was a similar version at Best Buy, so I'm going to check those out to ensure that my phone will fit. My guess is that if it fits the larger 6 that the 5 will fit as well. I always keep a wishlist of items on Amazon. Some are things I'd like as gifts, and other items are little items that I'm waiting to purchase until I get a large enough order to get free shipping when the items aren't Prime. Ulta is having a large sale, and I have some makeup brushes and OPI nail polish in my basket. I just went through my nail polishes tonight and threw out some really old ones and figured out what colours I need and what I already have but keep buying similar colours. I know I want a few specific OPI colours, but I also want to try the Zoya colours to see if I like them better than the OPI.

I really need a new purse. Mine is awful! I am not a purse person at all but I need one that looks up to par. lol
I want a subscription to Where Women Cook magazine. It is pricy but I love it. I always look at it if a bookstore has it and would love to receive it.
The spiralizer posted is really great. I have one and love it!
I always find a cookbook that I love for Christmas. I have tried to cut back to allowing myself 2 a year but this year I have bought a few during the year so I am not sure I will get one for Christmas.
I wanted a heated blanket. I had one before and it stopped working. There are many times the house is fine but I am the one that is cold so it is helpful.

Anything I didn't pick out for myself. That would be the real gift -- that someone spent one iota of effort.
Other than that, I want a mixing bowl with handle.

Well, I asked for (and it looks like I'm getting) a great Pyrenees dog that was abandoned at a construction site in Hwaseong, Korea. He showed up on a rescue group I follow and I just knew we could be that dogs perfect fit. We have an actual yard, for one, and are big dog people. So...I asked for him for Christmas! It's going to be considerably more than $50 though, since the woman who found him said he is 30 kg...way underweight for a full grown male. And no clue on age or any health issues, based on how he looks I am anticipating (but hoping not) at least heart worm. But we like big dogs, and we lost our Lab in May and waited until we moved to get another dog, and here is suddenly- it's fate, I tell you.
For $50 you could get a cat at a shelter- fixed and first shots, maybe even less if the shelter is running a special or the cat has a sponsorship. Of course in the long run it will cost much more than $50-! But hey, who needs more stuff, a pet will love you!
Ok, that probably isn't helpful, but I wanted to tell someone about my hopefully new dog. We still don't have our car and are trying to line up transportation to get him to us asap, and I am worried sick he will disappear first so I don't want to tell too many people and jinx it. But I may be getting a really awesome Christmas gift!!

Really, there are a few things I need, none of them I'd leave up to my MIL to purchase. I asked for diapers this year, since baby #3 is coming in the next 6-8 weeks. I would truly be delighted if someone donated to Feed the Poor or World Vision for my gift. There are so many people who have *nothing*, and those gifts are making a difference.

I want a Vitamix! But I can think of a million things under $50 that I would love also, many of them mentioned on this thread: Pandora charm or a bunch of costume jewelry; J'Adore body lotion (I like to layer the scent); magazine subscriptions; I can always use another purse or pair of slippers, socks, leather gloves; I love "Christmas Crap" so nice ornaments or decorations.

Well I actually do want gift cards to Hobby Lobby, Kirklands, etc. I have a blank wall in our new house that I want to do a variety of things on. So I figured gift cards would be a good choice for me this year.
