I wish I could sing. I really enjoy it, but inherited a complete lack of talent, ability.

Of course my weight and the motivation to eat healthy for the long haul! I do ok for a few days, start to feel so much better, but then fall back into the old habits and can't seem to put myself back on track.

I also wish I had better control of my weight and the determination and will power to lose the weight I need to lose. I guess I would also need a strong dedication to exercise because right now I have none. This is me too. I know what I need to do. I just wish I would do it!

The way that menopause caused me to put on weight that no dieting and exercise will budge.

I wish I didn't tear up every time I get angry. It's pretty hard to defend one self from injustice when your face behaves like a little girl

I'd love to not stumble over my words as much. My thoughts are clear and concise in my head but they all come out in one big jumbled mess. I'm always putting my foot in my mouth and saying something unintentionally stupid.

I wish I had a plan for my post-SAHM phase of life, but I truly don't know what I want to do. Lack of confidence plays into this issue, too.

I wish I didn't have chronic migraines. They make day to day life such a chore, wondering when one is going to strike. At least at the present they are somewhat under control.
I also wish I had finished college and changed my major from business to education. I always wanted to be a history teacher, but at 53, I am looking more toward retirement than another career. I have been doing bookkeeping for 35 years and I have hated it for 35 years!

I wish I didn't procrastinate. I've attempted to make this change so many times but I end up procrastinating on that too. Physically: My stomach (gut). Ugh.

Laziness. That would have fixed the things I want to change.

I wish that I weren't such a shy, introvert and that I had more confidence in myself.

Physically - I wish I had better eyesight. I'm not a candidate for lasic and I can't see a thing without my glasses.
Personality - I wish I could take constructive criticism better - I tend to get very defensive.
(I also wish I liked to cook!)

I struggle to just list one - I see others listing 2 categories so I will do that -
Physically/body - to have not put on the weight I did after I had my second baby ("baby" is now 10). I have 75 pounds I could lose and I just feel like jumping off a cliff most of the time when I look in the mirror.
Other/Personality - To be able to talk to my kids and husband - DH always tells me to stop going on about something, and DD will have a problem and say she doesn't want to talk about it and of course I can't stop myself from wanting to press her, what's wrong, what happened, etc. It kills me that they shiut me down or shut me out and I wish I was more a part of their lives where they would want to come to me and talk to me or welcomed me.
I am feeling very down on myself lately because of these two things and wish I could snap my fingers and change them both right now.

Only one thing?? I would need all day. hmmph ETA okay. I wish I had finished college in four years and gone on to law school, instead of taking so long to finish and then having a baby instead of a law degree. Now I have to settle for being an armchair lawyer instead. I wish that I had gone to law school too. I got talked out of it by my ex-husband who, looking back on it now, didn't want the competition.

I would get my thoughts together before I let them come out of my mouth. I start talking because silence makes most people uncomfortable, but my brain is not always ready for my mouth to be speaking. Then I say the opposite of what I actually meant because I'm already thinking of something else. It's annoying! (I guess that would really be to be mindful of the moment and pay attention to what's going on)
Physically, I'd be taller. I'd love to be 5 inches taller.

Like so many others, I wish I could change my attitude towards food and my tendency to let my eating get out of control. I know exactly what I have to do to lose, weight has been an issue my entire adult life, but I just don't want to. I'm talking about 25 lbs. Not that it would make me "skinny" but I would be much happier about my appearance and the clothes I could wear. I wish I could take away the desire for the "bad" stuff which tastes so good!

I wish I could be more direct and assertive in interpersonal situations. I'm the one who always thinks of what I SHOULD have said about 2 hours after the fact.

Oh, it's so hard to pick just one. I wish I had more self-discipline (to not snack, especially). I wish I didn't lose my temper as often as I do. And I really wish I didn't have the self-confidence issues that have plagued me my whole life.

I'd love to not stumble over my words as much. My thoughts are clear and concise in my head but they all come out in one big jumbled mess. I'm always putting my foot in my mouth and saying something unintentionally stupid. This is definitely one thing I'd like to change about myself as well. I don't think I often say things unintentionally, I just can't seem to get my words out in a professional, polished manner. Weird thing is, every now and then I'm brilliant. If it's something I'm really passionate about I can sometimes speak eloquently. Emphasis on sometimes. Once in college, for example, I led a Modern Poetry class about Seamus Heaney. I was on fire! My professor and classmates raved about how well I spoke, how interesting I was. A year later, though, when I went to give a presentation on something I was equally passionate about I choked up. I could barely finish. It was humiliating. There are a ton of things I'd like to change, weight being one of them, but I'd like to have more self esteem and more confidence the most.

I wish I had been better with my money when I was young. I didn't receive great guidance in handling money from my parents and developed some bad habits. And related to this, I wish I had more self discipline in most areas of my life.

Wow...one thing? I think of all sorts of things I wished were different.
*eyesight-I am blind as a bat without my glasses. *weight-I smell food and gain weight *confidence-I have none *finished college-this goes back to the confidence thing
Those are the ones off the top of my head.

Physically there are a lot of things I would change about myself. But most of all I wish I had a flat tummy.
Mentally I wish I was one of those people who enjoyed exercising. I really hate it. When I exercise I find myself counting down the minutes until I'm done with it. And the thing is, it never seems to get easier to exercise. I never feel like I'm getting more fit.

I'm with Mallie. Menopause has made my body crazy! I am a smart woman, I get some exercise every day, and I am not a ridiculous eater. What is going on with my body and how do I get it under control? I would absolutely change my ability to control my weight in a healthful and sensible way.
