I think it's adorable! Definitely not akin to the Christmas Story pink bunny costume. (Although I do think you should get one of those for your DS too!!)

I would not even consider putting that outfit in the same category as the pink bunny suit, I think it's adorable!

I don't think it's ugly.
But I also don't think it's cute.
It's just plain and boring to me.
Not something I would look twice at or put in the same category as pink bunny. But also not something I could get excited about.

When you mentioned your husband compared it to anything from A Christmas Story (hate it), I was prepared to come tell you that yes, yes it is ugly. But I can't figure out what your DH hates about it. (My reaction was not "OMG that's so cute!" but I don't think I'd give that a second look if someone dressed their kid in it.) But better, tell your DH that fine, Christmas Story Baby is off the table-- you are going with Lumberjack baby instead.

But better, tell your DH that fine, Christmas Story Baby is off the table-- you are going with Lumberjack baby instead. See, now I showed the Lumberjack outfit to DH and he said he's fine with that one. It's rugged and manly and suitable for winter. Then I said "I'm seriously starting to question your judgement." And then he said "Well, I picked you, didn't I? What does that say about you!??" Ugh

I think it is super cute but I also come from Canada where we bundle up our babies so that they look like mini abominable snowmen

I think it's cute. DD had a knit red and gray striped outfit kind of like that but with a hood around that age that my brother bought for her from Old Navy. She looked just like a little elf! I was so sad when she outgrew it. The difference between something like you linked and the pink bunny suit is that little bitty kids are SUPPOSED to wear stuff like what you posted. If you like it and think it's cute, get it! The day will come all too soon where he will start to have an opinion about what he wears and what you want will get voted down.

I love them. YDS had one from Hanna Andersson for his first Christmasand winter. It will be worn by a 3rd baby this winter -- YDS, family friend's DS and now my nephew. Definitely a classic baby style, not a modern pink bunny suit. If you were trying to put a 7 year old in it, then DH would have a case.

I think it's sweet and classic looking. I'm not saying it's always going to be in style, but it's not something you will be embarrassed you put on your baby in ten years.

It looks like something Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge would have dressed George in IMHO. Not to my taste but not ugly either.

I think it is really cute! However, since it is Fair Isle, there are likely a lot of threads all around the yoke and bottom of the sleeves where the pattern is. Perfect for snagging on little fingers as you put it on. Not a deal-breaker, if you love it, but just to keep in mind as you are dressing him.

Ugly. Not a fan of one piece knitted anything on a kid.

That's adorable. I dressed my kids in a lot of one piece outfits when they were little. It was just so much easier when I was carrying them--I didn't need to worry about shirts riding up and tummies being exposed to the cold. And when they were crawling, there wasn't a long shirt (or skirt for DD) to get caught up in.

It's a classic style and I'd buy it for a baby.

First of all: It is one of the obligations of parents to dress their children randomly in questionable outfits to use as blackmail material at some future point in their lives. You also need at least one bathtub picture and ones where they are doing things like picking their noses. Secondly: that outfit is no where close to embarrassing enough to use as blackmail material.

It's pretty classic Imo. Quite nice, but not embarrassing. You do realise its your job to embarrass him in future years don't you? You'll need to up your game!

I had a girlie version of that for my DD for when we would go out for walks with her in the stroller. We loved it. Probably not practical for everyday wear but for warm layers we liked it.
Also babies look very cute in them.
So it gets a thumbs up from me.
