My DH seems to get harder and harder to buy for each year. I'm hoping you creative ladies can give me some ideas so I don't get stuck buying him cologne again. Thanks!

Mostly consumables and gift cards. He likes to buy his own clothing, because he is so hard to fit. And he's a computer geek, so I'm out of my element buying him anything like that.

I always buy him gear from his alma mater - this year it's t-shirts because he wears t-shirts all the time and loves them.
I bought him a wireless Bluetooth speaker and a tablet pillow.
I'm looking for a gaming chair that's nice and not $500.

Cash towards a convention ticket for next summer. But because that's boring to wrap and open, a set of DVDs and a desk calendar (to which I will tape the money). Oh, and a couple of small gift cards from St. Nick-- Best Buy and Barnes & Noble. Last year, or maybe the year before, I bought him a nice shave brush and maca root shave cream from Body Shop, which was a little out of the ordinary from his usual tech related gifts (often, a video game comes out in December that he wants). He likes the shave cream a lot. If your guy uses disposable razors, he might like dollar shave club. SO has been getting that, and he likes it as much as the gilette pro fusion he was using. And it's cheaper. Referral Link (I think we get a $5 credit.) Nonreferral link

Whatever he tells me to.
I told him we're each spending $100 on ourselves this year. He will pick what he wants that adds up to $100 and send me a list with the exact item/color/size/etc. I will run out and get them.
We don't like buying each other gifts. We only do it bc the kids want to see U.S. open gifts on Christmas morning.

I snagged a star wars waffle iron from Think Geek. What could be better than that?
I also picked up some smart wool socks that he likes. We don't usually exchange too much, we generally focus on the kids.

We stopped doing gifts several years ago. It's so freeing. We buy whatever we want, when ever we want something or plan an expensive trip. I'm so happy not to open a remote control car or boat, or a "photo backdrop" so I can sell stuff on Ebay (I sold maybe 5 things and he thought I was in business), or a cover for our camper (yes I said we needed one, but not as my gift!), etc, etc, etc. I have to admit the first year was kind of sad not to have anything to open but now it's no big deal. I prefer it actually.

Back to the Future tin signs for the garage, whisky stones, mule copper shot glasses (just for fun), D Cowboy socks...that's it, so far. Maybe a pair of cufflinks.

I am replacing his iPad which was stolen a few months ago. He's also asked for some thin Nike dry-fit shorts...he plays soccer and when it rains his current shorts are thick enough that they get heavy and start to fall down. :-) Probably some tequila too...looking for a tequila of the month club or something like that.

Well, I completely changed what I was getting him. I was originally going to get him a giftcard to his favourite clothing store. But then I went shopping.
He's getting:
- wireless headphones - some clothing items from Tommy Bahamas, which is his favourite clothing store - an itunes card, because he only buys digital movies these days - no more DVDs.

A fleece blanket from Kohl's, a book, some DVDs. He has asked for some real British tea, so I will get that, maybe loose tea because I saw a super cute sloth shaped tea infuser. But I want to get him something really unexpected that he has no idea he is getting, so I am still looking for that.

Mine has a boat, so the choices are endless. I will wait for a list though.

DH said we weren't doing gifts this year but I didn't really agree. He just bought me a new chair for my computer desk and he had a friend make me a yarn bowl (gorgeous solid oak and I love it so much!). I ordered him the Echo and one of the $34.99 Kindle Fires. He's going to be surprised. And I learned a hard lesson because he always guesses what things are and I had them shipped to you work.

Dh & I often get each other booklets to the local car wash. Dh also likes individual eyeglass wipes.

My dh's bday is a few days beforehand. I went a little overboard this year, but I actually had a list of things instead of struggling with an idea like I normally do. Here's the combined list:
apple watch Bose wireless earbuds Stemless wine glasses Slippers Golf balls (only thing he flat out asked for) The Nest thermostat
I'm so happy I didn't have to resort to a golf shirt this year :-p

An iPad mini. He has a Kindle Fire HD and I have a regular iPad. He loves his Kindle but gets so frustrated when he can't get it to do everything my iPad can. Case in point, we flew this weekend and I could watch live TV in flight but his Kindle kept saying it wasn't supported. So I think he'll love it.

I bought DH a couple of bathymetric laser cut wood charts. The two cover the areas we have lived and I know he will love them. This is one source Below the Belt, but there are available through other sources. He will also get an assortment of hot sauces, nuts, and workout clothes.

Waterproof socks. I know, odd, but not cheap! We do wish lists and all the family 'Santas' get to pick from the list. This way everyone in our family gets something they would love to have, plus some extra goodies in their stocking.
Will be ordering mens' clothes online from JCPenney for $30 off $100 purchase (and free shipping)
And maybe the beer making thing he wants but trying to dissuade him from it as we will be moving off this island in a few months and I'm not sure we'll be allowed all the extras we've accumulated.

I'm thinking about getting dh an iPad pro. He has an older iPad and an ancient laptop. I haven't fully researched it but that's the only idea I have so far.

A new 65 inch or larger tv, still shopping. Plus some small items, "Crapman" set from Poopourri, very bright flashlight, organizer things for his new car, superhero wallet and other smaller gifts. It is just us, no family at all so we go all out.

His big gift was his iphone 6s Plus, which he already has.
His surprise gift will be: The 3rd compendium graphic novel for The Walking Dead Amy (the Amy Winehouse documentary DVD--he loves her) PJ pants A Griswold Christmas t-shirt (he's the ultimate Clark Griswold) A Kohls throw Slippers
Then of course there will be stocking stuffers. So far I have Adele's newest CD, a Sonic portable toothbrush, pistachios, and a bar of Leeloo handmade soap.
That's probably it for him.

I ordered my husband a minocular. He can use it for hunting and for spying on the people who fish on our lake. He'd probably never buy this for himself, but he's going to like having it.

A new desk chair for his office. (His old one broke and he's been sitting on a hard wooden chair from our dining room set for months.)

Another thing I got my husband is a copy of Whiskey magazine, along with a subscription for the year. He seems fascinated by the different kinds of scotch.

Hijack here: i recently saw saw something like that from Casaamigos tequila, George Clooney's brand, on Facebook. I pretty much noticed George more than what he was selling, but I remember it involved tequila and some sort of box with things?! LOL sorry for the lack of details, but, well, George was there, kwim?
