kellyr21 - 20 so far, I will probably do a few more tomorrow morning when I get up at 3:30AM, then will address and envelope them for Friday's mail. Off to see your blog post on your wreath. Saw yesterdays and it was lovely. I should do that next year. I will have to see if HL, or M's is putting on a class. Well at least my receptionist can attend so the stress had diminished now.

Hi fellow Pokeys Kelly- I love that wreath. It looks like a really elegant candy cane. So pretty!
To those who asked, my son plays clarinet. NEC is a music conservatory (college) in Boston that has a preparatory school for kids from elementary through high school. He is in their concert band for high school students, and also in a chamber group and takes lessons there. Add that to his myriad of other music groups, and he's a really busy boy. He's currently applying to music schools for college. He has most of his applications sent in, but during Feb and March he has to visit each school for a live audition, which mostly determines whether he gets in. So cross your fingers for him. He really wants to play clarinet in chamber groups and orchestras for a career. He's a very determined young man, so I suspect he will be successful.
Meanwhile, my daughter is a senior at Georgia Tech. She'll be home next week for winter break. She's in a great mood because she's got a great job offer yesterday for when she graduates in May. She's in computer engineering, which is in high demand right now.
I've been busy concert-going and working, and haven't had any time this week in my craft room. I have tomorrow evening free, so I'd like to work on my mom's cards. I'll post pictures when I finish some more.
I promised to help out at the middle school band concert in a little while, and DS is playing chamber music in the lobby beforehand. So off to school for me.

Hello and good evening. kellyr21, I can't wait to go see your wreath! and your art work!! maribeth, your cards are so pretty. I'm hoping that your dinners go well and all work out. sarahyoo72, nice to meet you, I'm newer to the Pokey Peas. Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you enjoy your visit with your Mom and that your surgery goes well! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. nylene, hope you found out something useful at the ENT's. Still in the midst of renovations. Yesterday and today were a little more stressful for me. It started after telling me to move my school bookshelf, they said I needed to move my whole craft desk. (we're already full to the gills in our living space). Then later he said that he needs to put a beam up in the dining area of the great room which had not been discussed before). Today, he said I need to move my hubs gun cabinet which probably means he'll want the bookshelf on the other side and I'll have to shorten the table which is holding other things from around the house that needed to be moved in the last week. Then realizing that we'll be very lucky to be finished by Christmas and hubs suggested an artificial tree. And it's DD's first Christmas after finding out there is no Santa so I wanted it to be special. UGH! See I'm working myself up. It will be fine. When they're done, the house will be sturdy and the kids rooms and hall will be completed. woo ... I'm still working up to the "hoo". Hope everyone is have a stellar week.

Good Thursday morning Pokeys Alas no cards this morning, had a couple of decorating items that had to be done, changed out my to scrapbook photos I display in my craft room from spring photos of the grand daughters to some vintage Christmas ones, batteries installed in some of the flameless candles (that I had totally forgotten about until the middle of the night last night), and wrapped up my final white board in my scraproom like a present to coordinate with all the others so today instead of a project you get a quote. Quote of the Day Life is just a scrapbook waiting for us to put it on acid free paper" Author: UnKnownYesterday I got through one of the most stressful days I have every year, the owners annual meeting with the CPA to go over the financial statements for year end decisions. It always involves them calling me and asking me questions about items on the financial statements and of course I have to stop what I am doing and dig up the answer and call them back. They always think I should know everything about every line item on the statements off the top of my head, and I always feel under so much pressure. Yesterday consisted of 5 calls. Less than in years before, and the questions, for the most part, were pretty easy ones this year. Tonight we will go shopping for our get-together Saturday night. You may not know this about me, but I hate shopping. In person shopping that is, shopping online is great (especially if it is for scrapbook supplies ) Have a wonderful day Pokey's.

Morning all. maribeth I'm glad you survived your stressful day at work. I bet it's good to have that day over and done with before the festive season. I often think of you when I drive past our county courthouse in Green Cove Springs. Are you still collecting photos for this project? If you are, and you would like a photo of the Clay County courthouse in FL, then I'll be happy to get you one, once I'm up and about after my surgery. It's a beautiful building LisaDV its nice to meet you too Sounds like your house is in all kinds of topsy turvy right now. I hope it calms down for you, and you get to enjoy Christmas, even if its not quite the one you had envisioned in your head. I understand that feeling, as having surgery a week before Christmas was really not in my plans maryannscraps Good luck to your DS with his auditions, and congrats to your DD on her job offer! The last few weeks on the run up to Christmas are always crazy for anyone involved in a music program. My DD is in chorus, and she also helps out at one of the local elementary schools with their choir. So in the past week she's done Breakfast with Santa, rehearsal for elementary concert, the elementary concert, last full rehearsal for Candlelight, and a rehearsal with band for their joint concert next week. She's away all weekend in Orlando doing Candlelight processionals at Epcot, then back for dress rehearsal for concert, and the concert is Tuesday night. Oh, and she has mid terms next week too. It's crazy! And I'll miss the concert too, which is my favourite one of the year. I love hearing the Christmas music. kellyr21 It's so good to see you, girl I can't wait to see this new artwork of yours. You are such a talented artist! Your Mom is so lucky to be on the receiving end of that beautiful wreath Today I am planning on being creative. I have little energy these days, but I tend to try and spend some time making "stuff" every day. Yesterday I was at the mall, doing Christmas shopping, which did me in lol. So today I plan to shut myself in to the craft room and play. I am working on a corset just now, for a costume I have been making. I'm working more with fabric these days than paper. I also have a quilt that needs to be sandwiched ready for quilting, but whether I can stand being crouched over for that long whilst fending off a curious kitten, remains to be seen... Have a great day, Pokeys

sarahyoo72 - Absolutely, would love one, and if you have a photo of yourself that I can make a thumbnail/contact size photo I like to place on the page as photo credit. Part of the project will allow my grand daughters to see how wonderful people across the country helped me to make my dream come true. Your's would be the very first one I would have from Florida.

Thank you for all the well wishes. The ENT did a couple of procedures on me that really helped the vertigo. I have new medications that should help the ears to drain. The Dr. thinks that a week on the meds will make a big difference. I'm hoping so. Cindy, I don't know if my email got through to you. My computer totally crashed and I tried to email through my old ipad which won't stay connected to the internet for more than a few minutes. It keeps trying to connect to all the wifi in the area. I have about 4 minutes before it disconnects, so I hope my quick message got through. Doug has worked on the computer so I can use it, but it needs some BIG help. I've known it was about time for a new one, but have been dragging my feet. You know me and new technology that I have to learn!!! Are your grands all ready for Christmas. Are you doing some baking with Maggie? Kelly, I vote for wreath #3 for my door. My door is green so greenery blends in too much. Gorgeous work, my dear! How tall are you? You look so tall and beautiful in that photo! Glad you got to do some Christmas things around your town. We have New Years' things around here, but it's toooo cold for me. Mary Ann, congrats to your DD on her job offer. It's so nice when kids can leave college with a job and not just student loans. You sound so busy that it makes me tired...of course it doesn't take much to make me tired right now. LOL! Good luck to your son in interviewing for colleges. Beautiful cards, Maribeth. I'll go leave love in the gallery. Thank you again for the quotes. I'm keeping a file of them! Keep them coming when you have the time. Your decorating sounds so beautiful. I can't wait to see photos of your pretty home. Glad things are working out for your dinners. I think you are brave to entertain. My entertaining consists of having kids and grandkids around and that's about it. sarahyoo72, Sarah!!!!!, so good to see you. I have wondered if you were still in the US. I'm glad you'll be here a bit longer. Sounds like your family is growing up. Have you become Americanized by now? Hugs and prayers for a great result for your surgery and a great visit with your mum. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad. Hugs and more hugs. I found holidays following my parents' deaths to be so hard and melancholy. I think it happens to most people. I hope having your mom around will keep you all upbeat. Lisa, what a time to be in the middle of a mess. Christmas decorations take so much time and space. I'm sure you are in a dither! We have decided that a few little things around the house will have to do unless I feel MUCH better by next week. If I do, we'll pull out the tree. I can't wait to see what your renovation looks like when finished. Be sure to take photos of "along the way". Have a great day, everyone. I'll be back later if my computer cooperates!

Happy Thursday! It is chilly today and it feels like December. Thanks for all the comments on my red and white wreath. It was fun making it and look forward to making more next year. I may even make some for other occasions like Spring and Fall. I did start my Christmas cards yesterday. The pp I have is sort of dark and I gotta think of some ways to brighten it up. Hummmmm??? Sarah- I have started sewing this year. My home deco projects have slowed down as my needle broke. But hopefully I can get a new one soon so I can continue. I know your quilt is gonna be pretty. Take your time! Nylene- Thanks for the sweet comments. Yes, I am a tall gal at 5'9. I still remember my 6th grade class picture and I was the tallet kid. But by junior high some of the kids caught up with me especially the boys. LOL! I hope you continue to feel better. I know coming to our pokey peas has lifted your spirits. It is so great to see all the new faces and activity here.

Good Friday morning Pokey's I feel just terrible today I am not ill or anything, but I just woke up in an funk. No ambition, feeling just totally under impressed with everything around me. I don't know what it is, I do not usually feel this way at all. Really bummed. So my search for quotes today led me to find something that would life my spirits, so I looked for a humorous quote and this one felt like me today. Quote of the Day "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you" Author: UnknownYes, I don't think I will be skydiving today because for some reason I don't feel very successful at all today. This feeling will go away, I know, I just hope that it does so quickly. I do not like not feeling like myself. Go out and make it a great day Pokeys!

Happy Friday Pokey folk, maribeth I agree! Skydiving is not for me. I'm a big scaredy cat. I hope you start feeling yourself again. sarahyoo72 I'm sorry to hear about your father, sending a little prayer and gentle hugs to you. kellyr21 I've always wanted to be able to easily sew. Although I took home ec in middle school, I never became very proficient. It always turns into a giant mess while I try to figure out the sewing machine settings and then I give up. I come from a tall family, too. I'm "only" 5'7; my mom and sisters range from 5'9-6'. nylene I hope the meds work--vertigo is awful. My sister has dealt with it for years with Meniere's disease (sp?) and is miserable each time it comes back. LisaDV I'm sure that whatever decorating you can do while under renovation will be super special to your daughter. She'll remember "the year the house was torn apart" because her family loves her so much. Well, I got a little bit ahead on my work last night, so I'm going to have coffee with an old friend this morning. Then I'm going to pick up some gift cards to go in my tags, wrap everything up, and box it so it can go out UPS on Monday. I think we'll be decorating the house tonight and tomorrow--I haven't even brought up the boxes yet. I find it hard to concentrate when my house is all cluttered like it is now (I hear you LisaDV ). The tree has lights, but no ornaments yet. Once that's done, I'll feel a lot more settled and in the Christmas spirit. Fortunately, it's just a few boxes, not a huge project like maribeth has done. Much as I'd love to go all out inside, I always have end of year deadlines right now. Everyone wants their projects done before the holiday. Enjoy your weekend, ladies!!

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a lovely day. Like Maribeth, I had the blahs today too. So not much creative stuff happening YET! LOL! I did watch back to back cake decorating You Tube videos and they were sooo good. Maybe I see that in my future??? Still looking at my Christmas card papers and not sure what they need but needs something. I hope to get to M's this weekend and maybe I will find some solutions. (fingers crossed) Maryann- You do have a tall family. Woohoo! Yeah, we hope to get our Christmas decorating done this weekend too. Not much to do but we like it. We have one of those prelit fake trees and the lights stopped working a few years ago. So we gotta get some more lights. It's not complete without lights. As for sewing I am like you. I learned in home ec ages ago and trying to relearn it now. I did watch some videos and that helped. So I am starting with easy projects until I know what the heck I am doing. LOL! Waving hi to all you gals and hope you have a great evening and weekend!

Good Saturday Morning Pokeys Feeling much more like myself today. I think it was just the "end of the workweek blues" and knowing I did not have much to do at work was feeling like it would be so nice to be home. Well I made it through the day, and we ended up having a major computer issue which took all my attention, therefore my day went pretty quickly. kellyr21 - hope you have been able to leave your blahs in yesterday as well. And congratulations on your win over at BonjourScrap!! No quote for the day, I thought I would share one of the photos of our decorating. This is hubby's area, the outside. This little vignette is his snow people display that he says represents he and I. Just behind the window that they are standing in front of is my craft room. Snow People-1 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr I will be baking and cooking for my get together this evening. Will try to check in throughout the day. Be well today Pokeys and enjoy every moment.

Good Sunday morning Pokeys.
I hope everyone is waking up today feeling blessed.
Had my get-together last night. One couple was unable to make it due to snow, so it ended up being just my assistant and her husband. We have never socialized before so I was worried it was going to be awkward, but it seemed to go fine. Glad that event is behind me however, hubby and I are not real socializers (sp), it kind of all started with our house decorating, co-workers and neighbors have always wanted to come by and see it, so we feel obligated to invite someone at least once so they get to see the craziness of our house decorating. We use to have to host several parties a year, it has slowed down to a few couples and some family events during the season and that reduces our stress a lot.
Today, I am not sure what is planned for me. Looks like we got a little snow here during the night, so my trip to town probably won't happen, which is kind of alright with me since I rather stay home and maybe even craft a bit. But I do need to get a little be of shopping done in town and if I don't do it today I will have to go to town one evening next week after work, I don't even want to think about that.
Quote for the day:
"Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting." Author: Author Unknown
Have a great day Pokeys.

Hello Pokey Peas! I have been busy since my fiancé arrived. I seem to not get on the computer as much. We are both sitting at the Mudhouse searching the net so I have a little time. I am trying to finish up with Christmas shopping. I have been doing a lot on Amazon this year since I have the prime membership. I was able to get it at a discounted price this year. My fiancé and I have finalized on when we are getting married. We are actually going to elope in Kansas City on December 21st. We would elope in Springfield except the courthouse here only does marriages on Fridays which I work a lot of. We have decided to do a ceremony at a later time since we have lots of immigration fees coming our way. He is anxious to work and he can't till we file paperwork after we are married. I was going to get a wedding dress but I won't be able to get my dress altered in time. I am hoping to find me a new dress for the occasion at least. I am looking forward to our time in KC and our marriage! nylene , I hope you are feeling better! sarahyoo72, It is nice to see you here again! kellyr21, I love your wreaths! My favorite one has the Christmas tree on it.

Good Monday morning Pokeys @knushcen - glad to meet you. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your magical day. Please post photos or a scrappy page so all the Pokeys can enjoy this event with you event though we can't be there. Kind of bummed today - I have made a goal for myself to be more active in the online scrapbooking community in 2016 and I found a great sketch challenge on SKETCHNSCRAP which was scheduled to end on December 31st. Earlier than my intended start date for my involvement resolution but I really liked the sketch it really fit my style. I so seldom use sketches. So I gathered up my goodies and put a page together for my entry, then I read the small print - You had to use black and white photos. Well the page I created was all bout the colors of my granddaughters school and her being selected to be in the honor band. (Insert big sigh here), I was so disappointed, and the prize was one I could really use as well. Oh well, lesson learned READ THE SMALL PRINT FIRST - LOL. Here is my page - didn't qualify for the Sketchnscrap challenge, but at least I can use it to fulfill my Pokey challenge. Sara Clairenet-1 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Pokeys you all have a wonderful day.

maribeth, thanks and nice to meet you too! I am hoping we can have someone take some photos. I woke up this morning and went to water aerobics. I feel tired today. I always think we are going to get to bed early and I get busy with something and before you know it the clock was about 2am! I am not sure I have time for a nap today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Happy Monday! Hope you all are doing well today. We had a nice weekend. Here in town there is an Embassy Suites hotel and we went there sit and hang out. When we walked in, boy was it BEAUTIFUL! The decorations were just exquisite full of rich reds and gold. So we walked around and enjoyed it all. We went back yesterday so we could take some Christmas pics by he tree. So there is some scrappin coming soon. We were supposed to get our decorations up last night but tonight is the night! (fingers crossed) Also, working on my cards today too. Jana- How exciting!!!! SO happy for you and wishing you both the best. I hope you spoil yourself now with whatever special dress or whatever you want. This is your day to feel like a queen. You deserve it. Maribeth- Oh do your Christmas decorations look great! If you have more all over your home, know wonder friends want to visit! Glad your party turned out great. Do you have any more to host this season? Glad to see you are scrappin. I hope to order some pics so I can too. Wishing you all a wonderful evening!

kellyr21 - Yes we have quite a parade of people coming down to our house to see our outdoor lights. We live in a pretty rural area and not many people decorate so it is a treat for everyone. We do have a couple more get-togethers, one with hubby's sister and her SO, one of his daughters and his son. Then one with my son, his wife and the grand-girls. And then we are going to hubby's daughter's house for a get-together there, she moved into a lovely large home and wanted to show it off for the holidays, so fine by me one less party I have to have. I cheat, I made my pages with photos off the computer, then a order them in a big bunch and replace the ones I used to set up the page. The decorations at the Embassy Suites sounds delightful, so glad you went there and enjoyed it. Will be looking forward to seeing your pages of the event. Stay warm Pokeys if it is getting cold where you are, we are have some cold winds right now.

Good Evening Pokeys, nylene, glad you got a little relief and hoping that the meds will help. knutschen, Congrats on your pending wedding. maribeth, I've loved your last two quotes!!! Left you some love on your fabulous page as well. And I really like your husband's snow people display. 5'7" maryannscraps and 5'9" kellyr21, my 5'3" frame is very envious of your ability to reach the top shelf! My 6' hubs bought me an extend-o-arm (a grabber for out of reach things) as a gag gift one year. But I LOVE that thing. His favorite was in Indiana we had a corner shelf in the kitchen that was very deep. I'd have to stand on the step stool with the extender to get anything from the back of the top 2 shelves. It was also my favorite because even he had to stand on a step stool to get back there (which of course, I took a photo of and scrapbooked) Thanks to everyone for the empathy on the construction. I'm better this week. Tomorrow she has a doctor's appointment so at least we won't be here in the mess all day. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Nylene and Cindy have been hearing me talk about the art I worked on over the last few months. So here are three of the pictures I made as a part of my home redecorating. Hope hey brighten your day. Kelly's ArtQuestion??? How do you tag? I have notices you all using our names and missed that lesson. Lisa- LOL! Yes there are some benefits to having long arms and a tall body. LOL! But your dh gift was so sweet too. My dh is 6'ft too. Having a tall hubby has its benefits for reaching stuff in the cabinets and putting up the curtain rods. LOL! That was one of my dh "honey do" list chores. Maribeth- Boy, you will be busy this season. But is all sounds like fun. It has been very windy and cold here. What state are you in? I love our cold weather because compared to most of the country it isn't that bad. Plus that wind gets rid of lots of smog and makes it so clear to see the mountains. Beautiful sight on a clear day.

Wow you gals have been busy! I read it all but can't remember it! LOL I am trying to get ready for this big holiday-in more ways then one. I try each day to find a few minutes to reflect on what this special day is about! I think most of my gift shopping is done. I have most of my baking needs here also so Maggie & I can start doing our thing.
Kelly-looking forward to seeing the art-I will go over there when I finish here.
Jana-I am wishing you and your fiance the very best however I think the 22nd would be a better day for the wedding being as it is my birthday!!!! Just kidding of course. I am so happy for you! You sound like a woman who is so in love!
Lisa I think this maybe one of the best Christmas's you will ever have. That tends to happen when folks are meeting themselves coming & going.
Maribeth-you are such a busy gal-I don't know how you get everything done that you do. You must be so focused!
Maryann you are a busy bee too.
I am hoping that we are not hearing from Nylene as her computer kept crashing. We miss you and we are all praying that those new meds are helping.
I am off to watch the Voice and then Adele 25 so I will see you later!

Good Tuesday Morning Quote of the Day: "Don't sweat the small stuff" Author: Sonny GradyI find this quote quite befitting this time of year. Don't we all tend to get a bit frantic getting everything together for this rich and wonderful season. We shouldn't, we know this, but it is oh so hard for most of us not to turn on that "Pefectionist" button on at least once or twice during this time. Relax, breath, enjoy. Sometimes harder said than done, but lets all strive for this, and isn't this what December Daily was intended to do for us? (I don't do December Daily, it would add stress for me during this time of year - LOL) Card's mailing today (which by the way Pokeys I would love your physical addresses so I could include you in my card list, if you are willing to extend that information to me please PeaMail me), Got back on my tread (1 hour) Sunday and last night (hadn't walked since the decorating started on Thanksgiving) so that is a good thing. I won a free gift on a blog for commenting (whooot hoooot). kellyr21 - checked out your blog on your artwork - just love them, love them. Such a happy feeling they portray. scrapincin - Focused - Hmmmmmmm not sure. I just know I have a lot I want to do and I just try to do a little somethin' that makes me happy each day. I spend so much time doing what I HAVE to do work 10 hours, walking on tread 1 hour, which does not leave me much time for doing things I love and want to do so when I do have "my time" I pounce on the opportunity to do something for ME. (I know a little selfish.) LisaDV - glad you are enjoying the quotes, I hope they are not offensive to anyone or tedeous, I just like to try to inspire, bring joy and happiness, and know that I am thinking of all of you everyday. nylene - I too hope your absence from the thread is not due to health issues, praying hard that it is not. Although we miss you terribly, the most important thing for you to do right now is to take care of yourself. Pokeys - your mission for today - RELAX AND ENJOY everything there is in your life!

Good evening fellow Peas, kellyr21, I love your art work, I even picked up a one stroke painting book at the library to help me learn to paint better flowers. scrapincin, how is your new medicine working out? You've been in my prayers. which does not leave me much time for doing things I love and want to do so when I do have "my time" I pounce on the opportunity to do something for ME. (I know a little selfish. This is not selfish at all and I think we all should learn to do this more. So we were out all day! First stop, dr.office. As my ds got out of the van, I look down in utter horror. I grabbed clothes out for all 3 of us (myself, ds, dd) in a rather sleepy state and rushed state this morning. But he had on size 10/12 sweatpants and not his size 16 pants. They were 3" too short. I was like "Son, what were you thinking. You should have told me I gave you the wrong pants." In his sleepy haze, heck in a wide awake on top of the world mood, he'd never realize it. So our first stop after the doctors was to buy him sweatpants to wear today. And now I can LAUGH like crazy about it, but I was mortified at that I did that to my son at first. But I'll be enjoying this story for years. It may have to be scrapbooked. Of course, I forgot to take a picture. On the construction front, I didn't have to be present today!! And DH and the contractor have decided that they will be working through this week and then breaking until January 4th. BIG Sigh of relief. So Happy Day for me and hoping all of you are having the same.

Good evening Pokey's! Hope all is going well for all of you. Ialso hope your holiday plans are going smoothly! All is well here. Maribeth-I do not think that is selfish at all. I think it is healthy for us to do something for ourselves. Other family members do and we encourage it so why not for us. I a loving the quotes by the way! Lisa I am so sorry for not updating everyone on my new meds. I am doing so much better! I have had no side effects so far and I feel I continue to improve everyday. I am not having the symptoms I was having before-like extreme shortness of breath. I would feel exhausted after climbing the stairs and now I am doing it with very little shortness of breath, and not exhausted at all. I have only been in a fib once as far as I know and it only lasted for a couple of hours instead of 3-4 days, and with a lot fewer symptoms. So I am happy and the doctor is also and my ekg's have been normal. So I think we went in the right direction. So I thank you for your prayers as I am positive they have helped me! Oh and your story of how your day started cracked me up! Sounds like something that would happen to me! Glad to hear you are getting a break from the construction. Kelly your art is so fresh and beautiful! I am so glad you shared it with us! Loved the color palette you chose for your living area! Well going to close for now but I will be back so I stay up to date!

Good Wednesday morning Pokeys
Quote of the Day:
“Never be so busy as not to think of others.” ― Mother Teresa, The Joy in Loving: A Guide to Daily Living
I was very busy this morning, and did not have time to touch bass with you lovely ladies here at the Pokey thread. I found two sketch contests that I would like to enter, one deadline is 12/29 and one 12/31. So a started working on them, but of course there are items I need that are packed away (due to Holiday Home) in the RV and it was too dark to go out and try to find them. But I gathered the items I could get to and started putting them together, so I was sooooooo busy I didn't have time to post until I got to work this morning. I don't ever want to be so busy that I don't have time think of others.
I hope everyone is feeling well today, and that great and wonderful things surround you as the day unfolds.

Your MIA hostess is checking in. I'm sorry I've been missing so much this month and last. I thought I was feeling better and woke up Sunday with the worst ear pain. Of course the ENT couldn't see any inflammation, but it still felt like someone was poking a pencil in my ear. It took until Tuesday to realize that the pain was from TMJ. I remember patients coming in to our office just sure that their ears were infected, and the diagnosis was TMJ. I have had problems with my jaw but not for years and never this bad. Because the fluid in my ears makes them feel heavy and throbbing, I was gritting my teeth to stop the throb. That irritated the joint and the pain radiates into the ear. So, now I'm trying hard not to clench my jaw. It has really helped. I have been able to read the thread, but not post. We are having wifi issues so I start typing and lose connection and lose what I have typed. So irritating. I think we have it back up and running at least for a while. I know I need a new computer, but I'm dragging my feet! kellyr21, to tag someone, just put the @ symbol in front of their user name. You need to hover over their user name and use whatever comes up. If they have changed their username, you need to use the original that they signed up with. BTW, I love your artwork. It is so bright and pretty. I can see why you love those colors. Beautiful work. Your outing to Embassy Suites sounds like fun. I've kind of missed out on the lights, and excitement this year. maribeth, I love the quotes. I have always wanted to skydive, but I think I'm too old now! I loved the "don't sweat the small stuff" quote. My son adds to that, "and as you look back on it, it's all small stuff!" He went through a very sad divorce and was so devastated, but when it was all over and his life was back on track, he decided that he had worried about lots of small stuff. Glad your dinner went well and I wish I could drive by your house to enjoy your lights. Love your layout and left you some love. LisaDV, I understand about not being able to reach things. I am 5'1' (or was before osteoporosis) and can't even reach the top shelves of my kitchen cupboards. I don't know what I'd do without a little stool handy. Did you get everything moved that needed to be moved for the renovation? I'm sure your family will have a wonderful Christmas, even without everything finished. It's being together that counts. maryannscraps, I wish I could get you and Kelly here and I'd help you with your sewing adjustments and needles. It is really frustrating to get ready to stitch and find that something isn't working right. I try to teach my little 4-Hers to adjust the tensions, thread the machine and to wind and load the bobbins themselves. Once they have those techniques they can just sit down and sew without much help. My mom used to unthread the sewing machine before we stitched, so that we had to thread and load the bobbin each time. As upset as we felt having to do that EVERY time we sewed, I thank her now as it's just second nature. knutschen, (Jana) I am wishing you a wonderful wedding day. I must warn you though, that your anniversary may get lumped into Christmas each year! LOL. We were married on Dec. 20, and we usually celebrate in January since December is so crazy. My DD, Anj was also married on the 20th of Dec. I hope everything works out well for you. I know you will chose the right dress for it. Hugs to both of you! scrapincin, (Cindy) I'm so glad you are doing better on the new meds. Glad the EKG was good and that you are not so short of breath anymore. That's so hard! I feel so much better today that I think I really am going to get well. I still have some baking to do. What all do you bake for Christmas? Are your grands getting excited for Christmas? Lyssie felt so bad that we didn't have decorations up that she begged her mom to let her come do ours. She was out of school early on Monday and just tore into all the boxes. Steve carried things up and set up the tree. Lyssie put everything on it. She told me I could move anything I wanted, but I haven't moved a thing. She is such a sweetheart and I'm so glad it is done. We won't do the Village this year, but I don't mind. I know I am forgetting things I wanted to comment on. I think I will be able to keep up with things now. I'm still taking it easy, but it feels so good not to hurt and not to be dizzy. I'm sending Christmas hugs to each of you!

Happy Wednesday! Boy is it colddd out here! Ron and I went out last night and when we came back home, it was so cold inside. We must get out heater pilot light relight. Normally, we rarely used our heater but this year, I can't wait to get that thing working! LOL!
We did get our Christmas tree up along with a few other things on Monday and it looks so pretty. Is everyone else done with your deco?
I got 27 tags to get together for my dh's gifts for his coworkers. We are gonna make little bags with cookies and my tags. I have several things I can use as tags so I only have a few to make. Yesterday I was on a roll trying different styles of tags with my scraps. That was fun and gonna make more today. He needs everything by Friday, so I think we can get it all done.
Thanks to all of you for visiting to see my new art. Yes, I does make me happy and Ron loves it all too. I hope to release a new art video after the holidays so I will let you all know about that.
maribeth -Good luck on your challenges. Also thanks for the congrats on the prize I won. I hope you win the next one. I love winning stuff. In fact the prize I won here for our November crop I was able to use for my dh's little goody bags. It all came in handy.
nylene - Oh, I hope your dsil can get your computer stabilized. That sounds like such a bummer especially on top of everything else. Hang in there! Yes, it would be fun to get a special sewing lesson from you. I know I would be sewing in know time! Thanks for telling me about the tag. I wondering how to do it and now I know.
lisa -Oh I know you will be so happy when all your home remodeling in done. I know how stressful it was with the repairs we had this in our apartment. So I am sending you a big cheer as you and your family hang in there with all this. But I can't wait to see pics of the finished house.
Waving hello to you all and have a great night!

Hi girls. Just quickly checking in. I had my surgery yesterday, and everything went really well. My throat is really sore, and I have a really neat 2 inch wound across the base of my neck, but otherwise I'm OK. Hopefully this means I'll start to feel much better soon.
