It just looks like someone making up &hit and throwing around words like 'enzymes' an 'acids'.
But I do have stomach upset after certain food combinations: Cheerios and milk, for example, do something in my stomach that creates awful sourness.

It's interesting that they list THE most common food pairings. Pasta and tomatoes! The science might be solid, but in real life, millions of people eat that every day. I don't think they all get sick every day from it. I wonder how much your body gets used to certain combinations. I have never felt ill or over full when having surf and turf. And I frequently have fruit salads that have melon and other fruits mixed. Never felt ill from it. But maybe to some this would explain digestive issues they haven't been able to figure out.

A lot of those combinations do make me feel bloated, but I always figured it was because I was eating too much!

The only thing that looks kosher to me is the not pairing meat and milk, the rest, not so much. For example, there is no problem eating beans and cheese together if you keep kosher. And there is just no lobster, period. But you can have fish paired with meat.
Whoever made this slide show up, just made it up. I don't buy any of it for the reasons that were given. OJ in the morning can be hard for some people in the morning, because of the acidity, but cereal doesn't make it worse.

I would like to see the actual science. I'm on my phone though so maybe I missed a link. But I know current nutrition standards are things like pairing chocolate milk and a banana as post workout food, etc. So that last one makes me question the entire list.

The slideshow doesn't work for me. The page is there, the comments are there...but no slideshow.

I see no proof (link backs) to credible sources. It looks like bunk internet journalism.

Sounds like a crock of crap with no basis in science. What makes me sick is the grammar in that thing. Like: "Even though this mixture seams (sic) like it would be healthy, it makes a lot of people feel sick because the mixture has their own digestive problems together." What is that even supposed to mean?

I call bullshit on this piece of internet "wisdom".

Considering the first ads that loaded were for nutrisystem, the skinny pill, and bariatric surgery, and NOT the slideshow, I too am gonna call shenanigans.

Cheerios often make me sick, too-- I have always assumed that it is the oats, since that is the only oat cereal I eat.

What is that even supposed to mean? Now that I'm fully awake, I agree, it seems like someone made up most of this. I do feel sick if I eat cantaloupe or honeydew with other fruits, but that's because I don't like either of those. I love watermelon, though, and it's fine with other fruits.

The slideshow didn't work well for me either - so I couldn't get through all of it - but it didn't look like any real science was involved in the making of the article.
I did laugh at the beans and cheese though. A little lactose intolerance and I can see where that combo might cause some explosive after affects! (I have a juvenile sense of humor at times!)
