I mostly wait until scrappy stuff goes on sale. Clearance is the best.
If I buy it when it first comes out, I always use a 50% off coupon for it.
Today I bought Christmas themed scrappy stuff, including a Hampton Arts die & stamps set, all half price at A C Moore, and it made me think I should always wait to buy DD supplies until after Christmas. LOL.

I usually wait. I love to use those 40% off coupons. And I have heard that if you have an AARP card you can get another 10% off at Michaels.

Depends what it is. If it is something that paper issues will get in - then I buy from Cassie. But if not, and I really want it, then I will buy the parts I like.

I'm a bargain shopper for the most part. But I only buy what I really love, not just because it's a deal. My biggest issue is I have trouble paying $6 for a package of embellishments or $5 for Thickers. It just kind of hurts. I'm trying to beef up my stash of embellishments but also on a scrappy budget. So TM and sales have been great for that! I do buy new lines when they first come out if I really, really love them. I usually buy those from Scrapbook Generation or ACOT b/c they have good loyalty rewards and those add up nicely. I find some awesome things at Tuesday Morning (and sometimes TJ Maxx/Marshalls) and after holiday sales at Mike's and Joann's. Like I went to J's on Sunday and totally scored on a pile of Heidi Swapp Christmas stuff 70% off plus an extra 20% off coupon. I think I spent $23 and my bag was packed! Now I have lots of embellishments for my December Daily next year, including numbers to count down. YAY! LavenderLayoutLady we had the same thought on buying for Dec. Daily next year I also get a kit through Scrapbook Generation every month and that has brand new boy lines in it, so I have been trying to wait on buying those myself since they might come in my kit. The kits have been helping me plow through photos so I can justify the expense I also tend to use my stash of embellishments to jazz them up more or to create a third page using scraps from the kit. That helps too.

I wait until I find a sale or have a coupon. Rarely do I purchase at full-price.

The only thing I buy at release is purses and shoes if I love them. We have a strict rule in my circle that you don't buy a duplicate of someone else's bag or shoes but with those girls if I don't buy it one of them will and pretty quick if it's fab. Other than that I don't pay full price for anything.

I'm a technology early adopter. Everything else I like to buy on sale. Except the TH crazy birds, I paid full price for those babies.

I'm definitely a sale shopper. I keep a cart in progress at my favourite online store and periodically add things as new lines are added to the store then when they have one of their sales I review my cart, remove anything I no longer love and hit buy. The bargain shopper in me doesn't like paying full price!

I'm one of those "at release" crafty shoppers, especially for stamps and dies.

If it's technology related, or scrapping tools, I wait till the price comes down.
Paper lines, I buy sooner than later. Otherwise the good stuff will be gone before I have a chance to get it.

I never pay full price for anything since I love my crafts and always *need* something. I am terrible and give my tween daughter money and a coupon at Michael's and we both use coupons.

It depends. If I want most of a collection, I won't wait for a sale. That said, most of the places I shop offer a discount or free shipping so I rarely pay full price.

The stuff I like is hard to find in the stores around here and I don't go shopping for scrappy things very often, so if I happen on something I want I usually will just buy it. I do love a good deal though and try not to get too sucked in by the awesome TM enabler threads!

I don't have a lss so if I go I buy what I want however I only go 1 or 2 times per year. Michael's I never pay full price and wait for a coupon. Online stores I try and shop when there is either free shipping or discounts and then I'll grab mostly full price stuff that I can't find anywhere else. But I just found an online store here in Alberta that has probably the best clearance section I've ever seen and has reasonable shipping. I just spent over $70 just for clearance stuff. Like the old Studio Calico lines that were so awesome and that hard to find days of the week stamp set from SC that had the overlapping letters? Found it there for under $8. You can't even find that sucker on eBay! Excited for this shipment!

I'll buy it when and if I like it if it's paper/embellie line so it's not sold out. As another poster said, if it's technology or tools, I either do without or wait

Yep, I mostly buy on sale, since it is so easy to do these days. I figure I'm making up for the early years when it was so much harder to find discounts and I bought a LOT at full price! I also have a LSS that a coupon for a discount on 1 item and I never buy just 1 item. I don't mind supporting them, especially when I can see and touch the goodies!

I did used to buy full priced on a lot of things when I had one, because they are so much more than just a store to you, ya know? Now I just mainly shop at M's & ACM, and I have no connection to them, so I don't feel bad always using a coupon, or waiting to buy things at clearance prices.

I don't mind supporting them, especially when I can see and touch the goodies! This is the biggest thing for me - I buy things I had no intention of ever owning once I see them in person. I have one LSS on my side of the city but they aren't known for getting the latest and greatest and are notorious for getting only the paper with no embellishments (or only a couple of pieces from the collection). I support them when I can but it's mostly at their sales.

I do both. I hate to be in LOVE with a collection and then miss out on it. So I buy what I must must have and wait and add on when I see a sale or it clearanced.

I generally buy stuff on sale or clearance unless it is one of those must have items or I am in a LSS browsing. I have found a seller here is Australia that sells odd bits and pieces at really big discounts so I just keep adding stuff to my cart and buy when I have enough for free shipping.

I never pay full price for anything!! I've been wanting prisma color pencils and I bought them with a 55% coupon at AC Moore..I was thrilled! I've also been waiting for a great sale on the Silhouette or Cricut Explore. I ended up with the Explore for a pretty good deal on Black Friday. Thanks to my sister who put the money up for me and I will pay her when our income tax comes in. I never have extra money at Christmas! But I'm so happy I have it I could bust! Now to find time to play with it is another story altogether...LOL

I like the thrill of the hunt during a sale or while browsing in the clearance section. Although, I do buy full price sometimes if it's a hot new item I like and is being snapped up quickly.

I don't care about the latest and greatest. I prefer to wait for a sale or buy from one of the discount sites like peachycheap.
