I LOVE to create my own embellies! Is there anyone else here that does that too or would like to learn more about creating embellies? If so; I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we could post ideas or pics of what we have created. Is anyone interested?

Wow, those are very pretty tags Marianne!! Ishaba has some great ideas for making your own embellishments. I have made some but not a lot. I had a paper pad that I got at HL from CP but I didn't have any embellishments. I went online and found some of the ones they had sold. From those pictures, I made my own little cluster die cut thingies. I have also used a circle punch and the Epiphany charms and made my own flair. Hmmmm, what else? Oh yeah, found some nice toothpicks at Target and have made my own flags, banners and shaped picks. I am at work right now and don't have pics. I will try to get some when I get home.
AND then there was that one time...I have just used my Portrait in the last month to try cutting product packing for clear embellies. Like those ghost letter that HS did and I have seen a couple of newer examples but can't remember who put them out. Those came out ok due to be stars and having straight lines to pop them out. More detailed might not work. I will post some of those pics too.

I just added Kristina Werner's video that I had pinned. That's where the first tag idea came from.

Sorry tried to edit the previous post and add this but I couldn't figure it out. Those cute buttons that AC makes. Found some multi-sized wooden buttons at Michaels and played around with my Portrait and punches. Use some adhesive to glue paper to button and then add glossy accents and you can make your own buttons. Mine are in the middle of the AC pkg and some glue dots. The GA had not dried yet. Once it was dry, it was clear and they looked great!

naby64, those are darling! I will have to take photos of the embellies I've made. I'm great at making them but terrible at sitting down and using them!

I've only recently made some "enamel" mini hearts and stars using tiny die-cut or punch shapes and covering them in glossy accents. I used those on cards as well as one word sentiments cut with my cameo and then covered with ultra-thick embossing powder or 3 layers of glossy accents. I saw these yesterday and thought how easy they would be to recreate with glossy accents and patterned paper. Attachment DeletedOf course you could always purchase them from Ashley Calder. Edited because I forgot to mention how much I love naby's examples!

LOVE the butterflies! I have been in a big scrapping slump but maybe if I just make time to make some cute embellishments I can get back into the swing of things.

Love all of the links and images. I used to make more embellishments. They used to have embellishment swaps in the swap forum at 2ps. They are at facebook now.

I like to make my own little things for pages. Sometimes it's something as simple as stamping an image, cutting it out and adding something extra to it, like a layer of matte gel or another layer of paper behind it. naby, I really like your acrylic embellishments! I was impressed when you first showed them and wanted to make some and still haven't! You have lots of great ideas and examples shown here! The heart picks are very cute. Of course you could always purchase them from Ashley Calder. Edited because I forgot to mention how much I love naby's examples! I thought those hearts looked familiar! I had to take a second look as I was scrolling past! Scrapperlady, I haven't seen those butterflies in years! I used to make them with my great aunt when I was a little girl... right through till I was a teenager! She always had the best art supplies and craft supplies and was so much fun.

Great ideas everyone - thanks for the pics and links. I make my own embellies too, often with stamps & dies - flowers, butterflies etc. I also use a lot of glossy accents to give things that 'epoxy' look. Lots of fun!
