I don't make my own but I just saw this today: linkThanks for the link. They look great! Although, I must be missing something. I always put my Glossy accents directly on my paper. What difference does it make to go through the extra steps?
Not being snarky, just curious.

Not absolutely sure but I think that by have the clear die-cuts that match the die-cut paper, then it keeps it looking like a separate thing.

Thank you. I did just this today on a wood veneer flag/tag, stamping the date. First attempt, not so good. So I flipped it over and stamped the other side.

I love the veneer, I think making your own is a very creative part of the process and is what sets your pages apart from all the others. I like to do to look at PL layouts that have their own title cards, too.

I was inspired by all of Kat's great embellies. I made some stitched or stapled layered embellies from Amy Tan Sketchbook 6x6 pad and I made some pinwheels.

How do you make them? Are they difficult to make? I chose dbl sided pp that I liked both sides together, square punch, cut a straight line from each corner to almost the middle, put down a dab of tape runner in the middle, fold in 4 corners and the put either enamel dot, gem or brad in the middle. Very easy.

Thekatsmeow, I had trouble pinning the first one and had to wait until today to get it to work. The pinwheels I was able to pin last night. I pinned them right from the thread.

I haven't made my own embellies- but you all have such great ideas- please keep them coming! I will have to attempt some, but it usually takes me so much effort to just get a layout done!

Very easy. I wanted to thank you again for the instructions on the pinwheels! They really are super easy to make. I made several in different sizes using double sided scrap pp, with a sequin in the center. They look adorable. It was exactly the kind of thing I needed to make my old supplies seem new again without forking over more cash for more supplies.
