It looks like they're both being sold by third-party sellers, not Amazon itself.
Like eBay, just because someone's listed an item at some price does not mean anyone has bought it at that price.

The pens are thermo sensitive, so be careful with them. If they or the paper you write on gets too warm, the ink will disappear. And by too warm, I mean sitting in sunlight.

sometimes when a seller is low or out of stock they will adjust the price really high. My understanding is that it costs money to take down, and then later put back up an ad, whereas changing the price is free. This allows them to prevent sales while out of stock without having to pay to remove and later repost ads.
