mmmm... love my coffee. The odd day that I don't have one - the whole day just seems to go wrong.

I have a tea every morning when I get up. I don't even own a coffee maker. I do enjoy a Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks coffee when I'm out. I like fancy coffees and I don't know how to make them myself so I'll just stick to my tea.

I need at least 3 cups of tea to get me going in the morning. But I do have 1 cup of coffee made with my espresso maker ever morning at about 11:30.

I just love that first cup of coffee. I drink a whole pot all by myself every morning and it takes me 3-4 hours, but I honestly couldn't start my day without coffee.

Ummmmm, a nice hot cup of coffee with real cream and maple syrup is heavenly. It's how I start my day.

I can drink coffee all day long, but the first drink of the day has to be a cup of tea. I'm a Brit, and I get sent tea bags from home, so that first cup in the morning is a little slice of home. But I also love my Keurig, and DH (also a Brit) has just got one of those coffee makers you put on the stove top that makes divine espresso. He doesn't drink tea.

Definitely the best part of my morning. Not surprisingly, there are more pictures of my Keurig and French Vanilla Coffeemate in my PL albums than there are pictures of me!

I love coffee. So much so that my kitchen has coffee theme. I love that first sip. I could use coffee right now because its so slow at work right now.

I always think that the smell of coffee is better than the taste.
I have a cup of chocolate from the drinks machine first thing when I get into work (it's in the kitchen where I put my lunch in the fridge), then mid morning I have a sachet of cappucino style coffee. Then for the rest of the day it's water or fruit tea.
I think that a coffee machine would be nice to have a coffee to take with me when I drive to work, but I don't have room to leave one out on the worktop.

I never drink coffee, but I feel the same way about tea. Me too, kind of - Love my first tea of the day (and the ones after) but would totally be a coffee drinker if it wasn't for the fact that I only love it with about 4 spoons of sugar loaded in and that's not good!

Heaven in a cup. My brain doesn't even start to function until midway through my first cup.

I love coffee too. I have to have it every morning. We use a French Press (very easy and simple) and I make my cup every morning, come down to my office with my cup, and boot up my computer. Next I come to this site and sit here visiting with all of you while having my first (and usually 2nd) cup of coffee.
My father is a coffee purist. He swears by a porcelain Melita cone and the paper filters. Oh, and the water has to be an exact temperature too. He's funny.
What kind of coffee do you all drink? We used to buy Starbucks, but I've been boycotting them for a couple of months once I found out they donated 60 million to fight GMO labelling! Since then I get my coffee from Whole Foods in a bag already ground-it's called Mocha Java and it's incredibly delicious. My Dad always used to say Starbucks burns their coffee beans and would never drink theirs.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR COFFEE CAKE. It is... cake that tastes like coffee. When put that way, it seems quite obvious, but... Brits, in case you don't know, in the US, coffee cake is more like a cinnamon yellow cake served WITH coffee. No hint of coffee taste. Well that's just silly!! Coffee cake should taste like coffee, will piles and piles of coffee flavoured icing - YUM!

Our "coffee" cake is yummy, too - all buttery with a streusel topping or filling, usually.

Ummmmm, a nice hot cup of coffee with real cream and maple syrup is heavenly. It's how I start my day. Okay, I've never heard of putting maple syrup in coffee. It sounds delicious! I can't wait to try it, as soon as I can buy some. I'm assuming it has to be real maple syrup, not that fake stuff that people (me included) put on pancakes? I love seeing how many of us love our coffee. (sitting here at 5:00 listening to mine drip... Just a few more minutes and I can have that first sip). And funny thing, I'm up at 5:00 (my usual time) and suddenly I see an ad on this page for some sleep disorder clinic. No sleep disorder here, I just like to get up early. hehe

LOVE my coffee in the mornings! Two things that I really appreciate just about each and every time, and which make me inordinately happy, are the first cup of coffee in the morning, and a hot shower. Two little things to most people, but I never take them for granted.
I am an early riser and morning is my 'me' time, and a hot cup of coffee is an integral part of that.

I love my coffee too. I love it so much that I moved my Keurig into my bedroom so that I didn't even have to go downstairs to make it. My mom has hers in her bedroom, and my renter has one in his bedroom. I offered to let my mom use my machine, but she will wake super early most days, like 3 am, and wants her coffee immediately. She has the same routine that was mentioned previously of turning it on, going to the bathroom, and having it ready to hit brew when she comes back. I just realized that I use the smell of her coffee to know whether she is awake yet or not.
In my kitchen are my "company" coffee machines. I have a regular drip one that drips into a thermos-type caraffe and an espresso machine that uses little containers similar to a keurig that I have to order from Italy. They have many different types of coffee that can be purchased for that machine, but I like the heavy dark espresso and buy mostly those pods. I do buy decaffe and light espresso pods for guests, but I don't like them.
I keep the espresso machine in a cupboard and only put it out for company because you have all the little extras like espresso cups, sugar straws, and of course, the box of coffee choices that you need to have out too and there isn't room for all that on a daily basis. Plus if it was out where I could see it, I'd have a couple every day. It feels like a whole different experience than my morning Keurig coffee. And I always have a dessert to go with the after dinner espresso. It just makes it right somehow.
Although to be honest, I havent used the espresso machine in such a long time because I kinda stopped entertaining. I haven't had a get together since I stopped working. I haven't felt up to it.

The only thing better than that first sip of coffee is that first sip of coffee that your sweet man brought you while still in bed on a lazy morning. Yeah, I'm spoiled! meredith

I never drink coffee, but I feel the same way about tea. So do British people drink coffee? I know, dumb question. And of course I know they make it, at least for the tourists, because it was available when I traveled there. But I know my mother (Australian, who also lived in England for years) would NEVER dream of starting her day with coffee. lol. Tea for her. We do - and the Keurig type machines are very popular here. I always use ours for my morning coffee because I can brew just the one cup then. We have even got the drive through Starbucks habit in the mornings.....there's one a few miles from us and during the morning rush hour there's a constant stream calling in for their coffees to take to work!! The Starbucks home coffee machine is available here too. We also use a lot of the instant coffee granules in the UK as well but I'm not a great fan. I don't drink tea though!!
