I have always had a crush on Jimmy Stewart. A wonderful actor. Handsome, but not in a flashy way. Tall, lanky, and kind. He was a real hero in WWII, and married to the same woman for 44 years. A close second would be Clark Gable. I always loved "Gone with the Wind" but a special memory for me is when I was a freshman in college they showed it in a big auditorium (I had only ever seen it on TV.) When Scarlett was coming down the stairs at Twelve Oaks, and gets her first glimpse of Rhett Butler. The entire audience of teenage girls all sighed in unison, as if we rehearsed it, LOL. So who is your "Golden Age of Hollywood" crush?

Good choices . Yul Brynner is one that could always warm my blood. The intense looks, the voice - yum!

Although not as old as some already mentioned (most of whom I totally agree with), Paul Newman was no slouch, either.

There's very few actors I have crushes on but Brando has always been the one I got a bit weak at the knees over...right up until he was quite old and fat.
and he obviously liked pussy cats, what more could you want in a man?

Clark Gable forever. I was in love with Rhett Butler when I was 13!
Paul Newman for a more modern classic actor.

I can't think of one standout guy. I loved Clark Gables commanding presence in GWTW, but not the stupid mustache. Gregory Pecks wonderful role as father and lawyer in To Kill a Mockingbird. Rock Hudson's good looks. Yul Brynner making bald look good!

I always liked Clark Gable too, but I remember once reading that he had badly-fitting false teeth, so that kind of put me off. I'm another Cary Grant fan, no need to explain why!
And what about Montgomery Clift? Just look at that smoulder!

Rock Hudson's good looks. Yul Brynner making bald look good! I was just going to say that I may be one of the only women to prefer Clark Gable when he wasn't sporting his trademark mustache! He hardly looks like the same person without, though. But he's still very handsome.

Douglas Fairbanks Jr. OOOOO WEEEE!
Next William Powell. Not traditionally handsome but he just oozed grace, charm and wit. I wish I could post a pic. sigh....I may need to watch Joy of Living and the Thin Man tonight!

Tyrone Power, Orson Wells (when he was younger cuz I'm shallow like that ), and Joseph Cotton- to name a few. I love old movies and could go on for quite a while! oh, I just have to add Ray Milland.(sp?)

Cary Grant! I was his wife in Arsenic and Old Lace, you know. Nothing sexier than hearing Cary saying "Elaine" over and over again... Sigh.

Old time to me means older than my father--Tom Selleck is 71 and totally dreamy.
