Oils have become so controversial! You know people don't use common sense so they have to be careful! I love Tea Tree! It is amazing!

Why? Did your review state that Tea Tree Oil cures cancer and blindness? Or was a review critiquing the packing abilities of the seller? (Just kidding, but I am curious what you wrote that they didn't like!)

I've had a few reviews refused by Amazon lately because they were negative. One, for instance, was for a dock extender that was supposed to be for Apple lightening cables/docks, but what they were sending out were dock extenders for the old 30 pin cables/receptors. Two people had already mentioned it, but they hadn't docked them many stars, but after Amazon refused mine, they pulled the other two that said the same thing.

I did say you could use it on surfaces because it's a cleaner and you could use it on breakouts, athlete's foot, toenail fungus, etc. It smells so good! I have it in a cool mist diffuser right next to me. I am waiting on customer service to get back to me on the problem.

Yet they allow reviews that say "I don't own this but I'm going to buy it someday and I bet I'll love it!!"

I've seen this frequently on FB book groups. If you have the author FB page as a friend of yours or followed on FB, then the review you give will be pulled. It's not considered independent because of that friend hanging out between an author & the reviewer.

They're cracking down on sellers who were paying for reviews. Doesn't sound like that happened here but most of amazon is run by bots and not real people so it could be that a word you used triggered a bot to remove it.

You can in theory use a product as a both a cleaner and on fungus infections but did you use it long enough to cure your own fungus before you recommended it as a fungicide? I know most fungicides used on toenails for example can take a real long time to actually completely work.

I don't have any fungus to use it on but I know that it is an anti-fungal and athlete's foot fungus and toenails with fungus could use this oil for that purpose to help get rid of it. It probably would take a long time on toenails, especially if they were thick.

Wouldn't that just be rewriting the what the developer of the product claims it can do? (I am just throwing out ideas for why it's been pulled like you asked)

I didn't review how well this worked on fungus. I said that it was anti-fungal and gave a couple of example of fungus you could use it on because it has that ability. I also recommended that it could be used on breakouts because it is antiseptic, and to wipe down surfaces in the bathroom, which is what I do. I also use it in a diffuser.

If this is the case I wish they would just tell me so I could fix it. As it is now I'm thinking it could happen to any review of anything and you'd never know until it's too late.

On the toenails, I have a problem of white under the nail and it is pushing the nail out,the nail is thick. Has anyone used it for this? I went to the foot doctor and he gave me a kind of nail polish to put on the nail and it did not work. Penlac I think was the polish name.
Now it is on the other nails as well. I know there is a pill but the doctors do not like to prescribe it cause it can cause liver damage.
I tried a few years ago the tree oil ,full strength and it made the small toe (at the time just the one the sm. toe ) it made it very red on the skin around the nail. So if I try this again what can I use to dilute it down and by how much? Half tea tree ,half whatever to dilute it ?
I so want to clear this up...any suggestions welcomed...

Once I reviewed a product and I noticed that amazon added a "We verified she bought the product." I have no idea if that played into your review--that it was purchased elsewhere and amazon could not verify that you really had purchased it.

Amazon is in the business of selling things. They want people to say how good something is so that people will buy it. I do pay attention to negative reviews and/or I only look at items with 5 stars.
In the case of the OP, some other factor must have triggered their response. Maybe the computer flagged certain words that were used in the review.

I get that (and I'm the same way), but we're all in big trouble if they're pulling all the negative reviews. My love for Prime will fade quickly if I start receiving all crappy products! I'm hoping it's the bot thing and not that they're pulling negative reviews.

I agree, some of the most popular (and hilarious!) reviews don't show certain products in a very positive light, and I would be sad to see those reviews disappear. I've gotten many a chuckle out of Amazon reviews that have gone viral! (Sugar Free Gummi Bears and Veet for Men, I'm looking at YOU!)

Whether it did or did not do what the product claimed. Your review contains a list of things the product claims to do like anti fungal. People can get that from the product description already can't they? It kind of does come across a little bit like advertising vs reviewing, not a lot mind you, but maybe enough for Amazon to pull it??

Ah, here is a clue! A seller had written this: "PLEASE: Wait 5 days after receiving product to leave a review--Amazon is removing many reviews where people immediately leave a review after receiving the product." Maybe I wrote it too soon?? ETA: I am calling them every day until I get someone who will shed some light on what the problem is. I haven't even gotten an email from them about the review at all. The gal on the phone said they should have sent me one.

I'm not a dr, but this has been my experience- My PCP cautioned about taking oral meds, but two different dermatologists said they're ok. You can have a blood test to monitor your liver during treatment, too. I think oral meds are more effective than topical ones; however, from what I read even using oral meds doesn't ensure it'll go away. The treatment can take many months, and then you have to wait 3-6 months for the nail to grow out to see if it even worked. I've been dealing with this going on three years, and have yet to see any good results. I totally get your frustration. HTH
