Just, like, let us be your president. What could possibly go wrong?
(Between Trump and Canada, we've got to be the better choice! But can you imagine the birth certificate debacle that will arise?)
I feel for you guys, you have some hard choices to make this year.

LOL Can't be any worse. My DS swears he is applying for Canadian citizenship if Trump wins. (But he can't vote for y'all as he misses that by 20 something days. Poor kid. ) He May be moving there June 2017 right after graduation we'll know in November.

If y'all get yourselves on the ballot I'm in. Especially if we can all get sweaters like that.

Ha. We were in Vancouver over President's Day and my older kids never wanted to leave because of how nice everyone was. Also my daughter was a big fan of Shoppers. You're welcome to take over here any time.

Count me in for voting for Canada! I saw this video a few days ago and couldn't stop laughing. I'm OK with the cold too...I used to live in Alaska so that makes me a kind of honorary Canadian, right?
ETA: I shared this with my friend at work on Friday. She works with a young guy whose friend says he's terrified that Bernie Sanders is going to win, so he's moving to Canada. Guy says "you do know that Bernie would be considered a conservative in Canada, right? Do you have any idea of how the Canadian government works, taxes, etc?" We laughed and laughed over that.

Please remember that Canada has an immigration system and it is difficult to get a work permit as we have laws here as well as to how these work permits and other types of visas work.
Very interesting at how many Americans want to move to Canada and yet know very little about Canada. Our Constitution does not give you the right to own property (Thanks PET) and we have strict gun laws.
And yet Americans say that they live in the greatest Country in the world, yet the USA is rated below 20 in the list of countries which are the best to live in. Canada is in the top 4 of that list and I think that it is in 1st place this year.

Ooo, so close! You had the perfect opportunity to not only insert an 'eh', but to actually do so properly and you missed it! You'll have to work on that. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/TKS2q_7siLiFtq0xPQvx.jpg)

@dalai Mama -- yes, lots of people own property in Canada, however owning property is not a Constitutional Right.

Ya, I'm scratching me head over this one as well. My parents immigrated from Italy in the late 60's; early 70's and didn't become citizens until maybe 1986?? and they purchased their home way before that happened. I like the light-hearted-ness of this thread. Let's continue in that vein. BTW, my kids all want us to move to Canada if Trump were to win...seeing as I'm still a citizen, we might be making the great trek up there by next January! ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/roflmao.gif) ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/rofl.gif)

As an aside, Miss Manners would tell you (if she were to get off her ass and create another fake account) that, when people are complimenting your country, it's poor form to try to turn it into a pissing contest. Not only poor form, but decidedly unCanadian. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

Lost, my son is currently 17, so clearly he doesn't always think things all the way thru. But hey, he's welcome to try right?

My 14 year old has said the same thing, he wants to move to Canada if Trump is our president. He probably could though, his dad is Canadian and lives there. I told him I'd be really sad if he left me though!

We have lots of opportunity for US citizens to work and go to school in Canada if that is his desire. He could apply at Canadian Universities, we have some awesome ones and come check out Canada. His 4 year University degree would cover 4 years of President Trump in office. I shudder to even type President Trump.

Someone posted this on FB last night. I told DH, we're in!!!! Move to Canada if Trump wins!
I mean what's there not to love about Canada? The country that brought us hockey, poutine, Rush, Ice Road Truckers, Bryan Adams, hockey, Tim Horton's, Trailer Park Boys, Celine, hockey, Justin Beiber (well, okay, you can keep him).... There is one small drawback. I HATE cold. I've only been in snow once and that was last month on a business trip. Couldn't you all invade like a small, tiny island in the Caribbean or something? And then we can move there? KTHXBAI!

A.) We're all joking, so no one really needs to be terribly concerned about Canada's immigration laws. B.) No one said they are actually looking to buy property in Canada or that they wish to bring their personal arsenal with them. C.) I'm not sure I've ever heard any American I know state that they actually believe that the US is the greatest country in the world.

Very interesting at how many Americans want to move to Canada and yet know very little about Canada. Your comment was very rude. I think it's pathetic how you make passive aggressive insults to make yourself feel good.
