I love that when you quote someone, they get notified. That way, if you have a question or a comment, they know and can come back to the thread even if they weren't going to before.
I also love the spoilers thing.

I like that aspect of it, but am still struggling with embedded quotes. If I remove one that is not relevant, i find that a grey empty box remains, which is very annoying and untidy. Is there a solution?

I like just being able to like a post. Sometimes I'm on my phone or just really don't have a comment so it is nice to just be able to like the post.

Not necessarily, you can select what you get notified about and I've already been in and switched off all the notifications except for personal messages.
If I'm interested in a thread, I'll go back to it, but often once I've said my bit, I'm done and am no longer interested in going back to it.
The 'right fighters' will no doubt love it though.

I think this board is way easier to use then the old. I am very happy with it. I also like that I can like a post

Yes I like that feature except sometimes I need to pull out one sentence from a post that has several quotes in one so I can't use the quote feature.
I don't like the edit feature, I fix spelling or typos all the time, it's not a post edit just a correction, but I feel that sign makes it look like I changed something.

The only thing I don't like about this board is when you click to go to the next page of a thread, it takes you to the bottom of that page instead of the top. But then I hit the little up arrow and it's like a fun little elevator and I always say wheeeeeee in my head so it's all good.

I like this site much better too. The quote feature is great. I also like that I am notified. This board is much simpler to use I think.

I actually like the notifications because I don't always remember threads I was enjoying. You know sometimes there is a fluffy or fun thread and you forget all about it unless someone bumps it? That kind of thing. And I love the notifications for bookmarked threads. Those are awesome. That way if the woman's family from the letter story gets updated when I'm vacation for instance, when I come back, my bookmark notification will be there waiting for me even if the thread is now buried 10 pages deep. I'm also crossing my fingers that perhaps they will lead to a decrease in the "call out" threads. You know, there's a thread where someone is being completely piled on or their story is being questioned, and there are unanswered posts for the OP, and since they aren't answering them, some "helpful" pea posts a whole new thread under the guise of making sure the pea in question is aware that people are waiting to pile on a little more? Well, it will now be even more obvious that they are just stirring the pot, because notifications exist, and if the OP wants to know if people are still active on that thread, then they absolutely know. So if they have been at peas and are not answering, it's because they just don't want to. No additional call out threads needed. At least I hope it works out that way sometimes.

I like that aspect of it, but am still struggling with embedded quotes. If I remove one that is not relevant, i find that a grey empty box remains, which is very annoying and untidy. Is there a solution? Click the button that says "BBCode" and find the matching [ quote] and then [/ quote] (there will not be any spaces in them) and delete those. At least that's the only way I know how to do it. I put a space before the first bracket and after the last bracket so that I can just highlight the whole thing easily and remove it without leaving or removing anything important. Hit the Preview button when you are finished so you can make sure it's all good. Sometimes I need to hit the return key after the last quote to go to the next line while I'm in the code view because I can't do that in the Preview view.

I agree with Anna on the quote thing.. I love it..but a lot of times (probably most of the time) I just want one sentence, not the whole thing. And is it just me or when you do quote something it's hard to find your starting point to start typing?? I swear I end up in the middle of a quote half the time.. Not sure what I am doing wrong... I am sure it is operater error on my part!

I have to scroll and carefully try to click BELOW the quote outlined area. You *can* go into the quote (after you click the quote button) and delete all but the sentence that you want to quote.

That's when I hit the BBCode button, go to the end of the text there and hit the return key and then you can either start typing there or hit the Preview button to go back to the regular screen. At that point the cursor will be after the quote box and all is good in your world.

I like this board and am grateful for it, but I have trouble using some of the features. I do not understand using part of a quote at all. I read Becky's explanation to Annie, and I did not understand it. Then again, while I use the internet a lot, My needs are simple. I never really learned to post pictures on the Peaboard, so I just didn't do it.
But it's good that so many of you are enjoying the features of this board.

I like the participated feature. You can see if anyone added something to a thread you started or just go back to a old thread that may be buried yet there are some new posts!

But it's good that so many of you are enjoying the features of this board. Here is a screen capture of what I was trying to describe. You do have to do the regular reply, not the quick reply. Then click the button in the lower left that says BBCode. In this screenshot, I spaced before and after the quote codes so I could just grab the whole thing easily. After you have selected it, just hit the delete key.

I am liking the new board, too. I do find it easier to navigate than the other one. I finally got the hang of the quote feature. Took me a few tries.

I know this is silly, and not really a function of the board, but I like that it saved to my favorites bar using the word "Home."
When I click on it, I feel like it does take me home. This is a feel good place for me.

Arrrggg, no, that's not it. What I don't understand is how you get the quote marks around the text that you want, rather than the entire message. I really am hopeless at anything technical.
