Do you rinse your rice before cooking it?

Nope I've never bothered and ours is fine.

I use Minute Rice. It's probably considered the Uncrustables of rice.

Not before, but I do afterwards. A dousing of boiling water to get rid of the starch.

My Korean ex-MIL taught me to rinse my rice before I cook it because it makes it less starchy or something.  /shrug

Regular white rice and yellow rice no. But jasmati rice, yes.

Don't know why, just habit I suppose.

But, I also admit freely that I completely suck as the maker of rice. It's a crapshoot when I am in charge. I can burn the bottom and the top is still crunchy. The whole thing can turn into a lump of cement. It is the damnedest thing I have ever seen.

Quinoa, yes. Rice, no. I rinse after I cook it so it isn't so starchy/sticky.

We always rinse the rice before cooking. My dh is hispanic so we eat a lot of rice and he insists rice must be rinsed until the water is clear.

That's what my mom always did, so I do it too when I cook better quality rice. I think it makes a difference.

But most of the time, I cook instant rice.  No flavor, but no rinsing.
