It's court, people. It's not a "come as you are, if you're able".
I am so frustrated with people telling me "oh, I can't make that court appearance; I have to work; or "my kids are home"; or "I can only come after 4:00" or "I really prefer it be on April ____.
Um, hello, the courts don't run on your schedule. You want court intervention, you want the court to give you relief, you be there when they tell you to.

The purpose of the committee and today's meeting was to review the data collected and provide that information in whole to the bargaining teams. It was not, and never has been in my 8 years on this committee, meant to draw conclusions or make recommendations on how the contract should be approached. That is at the bargaining table only. This from the HR Director who sits on the Management Bargaining Team.

I told DH his doctor would not renew his prescription without seeing him. I was right.

If I mail you a box it would be nice to hear that you actually got it.
You've had issues with stuff disappearing from your porch so a quick call or text would be awesome.
ETA...A thank you would also be appreciated

The training we go through each year to administer standardized tests has gotten beyond ridiculous. It's like we're being entrusted with state secrets - and it has to be that way because school funding, teachers' jobs and kids' futures are riding on the outcomes. Something has to change.

Trying to come up with a date for a function in May/June given the schedules of three senior boys is impossible. They're too busy! They may have to have their Court of Honor in August after they all leave for college.

I told DH his doctor would not renew his prescription without seeing him. I was right. My husband does the same thing. And then gets huffy when I tell him "no Rx until you in." She requires him to come in ONCE a year. He grumbles that its a "money grab" :::: insert rolling eyes ::::

My son wants to order a pink class b shirt for boy scouts. The option to do so is on the order form but a bunch of troop people are having a hissy fit about it. Who cares if he has a pink troop shirt?!
I posted this on Facebook and the pissed off troop members are making it known!

TMI Alert ... pass by this if you want Dear body, why the hell does it hurt so much to pee? And why do I sometimes see blood on the TP when I don't even own a uterus anymore Thankfully, I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow ... but I'm not looking forward to the "exam"

I pulled my back out so I've been laid up in bed since Saturday. Of course it's always the worst time for this to happen when I have stuff to get done.

I honestly hope you feel better and sorry you're hurting.

Not to scare you, but for my mom, blood in her urine was kidney cancer, twice, 1989 and 2015. It did not hurt to pee, though, so I think yours is more likely an infection.

Mine is more of a whine not a vent.
I tweaked my back yesterday. No work today because I can't get dressed or get in the car. I'm taking liver and kidney destroying doses of advil. I'm bored stiff at home today. I better be able to go to work tomorrow or I will go crazy.

Same. Don't attempt a walk-in at my office 20 minutes before lunch and get butt hurt when we can't see you. Telling me you drive 100 miles won't help. Other patients have scheduled appointments for a reason. You need to do the same. ....we don't see walkins.

When I tell him DS has to be seen twice a year for his ADHD meds, he gets bitchy and calls it a money grab. I'm like, dude, I don't even ask you to pay the co pay or anything, so stfu! I pay that because I get so tired of hearing him whine. My vent? Stupid neighbors got a small inflatable pool last summer. Used it once. Left it out. Now, after being out all winter, it's ruined. There's standing water, a bunch of leaves, and a trash can in it. Today, there's a mosquito in my house. The standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and it'll sit there until may at least. Landlord won't do anything about it.

Leannec, it could be kidney stones. Drink lots of water. If you are in pain this evening or during the nite go to the Rockyview Hospital. They have better imaging and specialists for kidney stones. They also have medication to help with the pain.

You chose not to write your short story for history, which was due 2-3 weeks ago. You had time in class to do it and time at home. You chose not to ask for help. We talked you through it and offered you different methods to help you get your ideas down on paper. Now, after 5 more days, you have written 3 more sentences. You may not yell at me and carry on as though I'm a bad parent when I take away electronics and other distractions until you finish the damn story. Failing history is not an option.

Mine is not really a vent but I got diagnosed with mild pneumonia on Sunday and got a 3 day doctor note for work. I don't feel sick but having had pneumonia in the past I can't take a risk of letting it brew into something serious. But I feel like I am wasting sick days. When I use sick days I worry something severe will come up and I'll be out of sick leave.
If you have had mild pneumonia do you think it is better to stay home even if you don't feel too miserable? I'm taking antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler.

I need to vent today. Went to fill a new Rx for DD and insurance declined it. She has been on this for 10 years, we have a 5 day window to fill the new Rx because it is a controlled substance and, because it can't be ordered until the Ped & insurance fight it out, DD is likely to have a gap in her meds.

Gravity, I will now have that Meghan Trainor song in my head for the rest of the night. myboysnme, always better to be safe than sorry. I say stay home and binge watch some shows. Mine is more of a whine as well. Will TV show writers please stop showing people's Smartphone texts? I can't ever read what they're showing and then I'm missing part of the plot. Just stick to dialogue for us old folks whose eyes are going. Thank you.

When I use sick days I worry something severe will come up and I'll be out of sick leave. If you have had mild pneumonia do you think it is better to stay home even if you don't feel too miserable? I'm taking antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler. I was diagnosed with pneumonia on March 14th; I've actually been sick since February 22nd. The only day I felt totally miserable was on Sunday the 13th (and I probably should have gone to the ER). The only day I took off was the 14th, but that was mostly because of the timing of the doctor's appointment I was able to snag and the remote chance they were going to send me to the hospital. In retrospect, if the timing of this illness had been a little different (i.e., if it happened during a different rotation of responsibilities at work), I think I might have taken the 15th and 16th off as well. I was having difficulty breathing whenever I moved, but I have a mostly sedentary job, so I didn't really feel like it warranted the time off of work... but really, I probably would have benefitted from a few more days lounging on the couch waiting for the antibiotics and steroids to kick in.
