The main product that I am brand loyal to is conditioner. I have tried many brands over the years and the one that I like best is Herbal Essences. I usually stock up when they are on sale because I hate paying full price. I ran out the other week and decided to buy a different brand that was on sale. I'm not at all happy with it. I usually buy Herbal Essences shampoo as well, but can happily use any brand.
The only other things I can think of is tinned tomatoes, tinned baked beans and spaghetti, tinned peas and corn, tomato sauce etc. I only ever buy Australian made and owned (such as SPC, Ardmona, Rosella, MON, Dick Smith) even though it is considerably more expensive, because it is vitally important to me to support our local farmers.

I don't have too many things I'm brand loyal to. Off the top of my head these are the things I refuse to buy store-brand/generic of: *coffee--we only use Gevalia *dish soap--only Dawn *cereal-Post Honey Bunches of Oats; Kashi Go Lean--my daughter won't eat the generic Honey Bunches cereal--she says it tastes different. I had found a generic/Aldi brand of the Kashi, but I haven't been able to find it in a couple of months...I'm hoping it's just because of repackaging and not because they stopped carrying it. It was just as good as the name brand, but much cheaper!

It depends on the items. Sometimes cheaper isn't better. I also am fairly picky and if something doesn't taste good or work the ways it is supposed to then it isn't worth it. The most recent one for us was generic refrigerator filters - the cheap ones leak. We thought it was the fridge that was out of warranty nope it was the cheap filter. We won't make that mistake again. Cheap napkins are so thin you have to use three for the same effect so not worth it. Another one on the ketchup - the cheap stuff tastes horrible. Dawn dish detergent works better. Breyers ice cream - I like that they have a few flavors that only have a few ingredients.
Sometimes I will buy generic and sometimes they are fine but sometimes not so it just depends. Recently I bought store brand hamburger buns they were the worst things ever they just totally fell apart - never have had that happen ever and I will not buy any bread or food that is the Winco brand because of it - they weren't even that cheap.

I'm terribly brand loyal- too many to list. I know I could save much more $ if I tried to branch out, but I figure I would end up throwing stuff out.

It really depends on what it is and where I'm shopping. I'm more store loyal than anything. We get most of our grocery items at Costco and I will try anything Kirkland Signature because we are so rarely disappointed (and when we are, they will take it back). I haven't had any problems I can think of with Target branded items either that I can think of. We will only buy one brand of toilet paper, one brand of facial tissues and I only like specific brands of health and beauty items. Canned stuff like beans, diced tomatoes, frozen veggies, with things like that generic or store brand is usually just as good. I clip coupons but not fanatically and try to use them when my preferred things are already on sale to get the best possible value.

Excedrin, Advil, Tylenol. The generics dont work for me. I have a specific headache every one in a while and one Excedrin for Migraine and one liquidgel Advil are the only things that work. Generics of those 2 products do not work. I've heard that just because the active ingredients are the sme, the inactive ingredients have an effect on how they work. My husband will buy generics but he knows better than to get them for me.
