... because I could totally eat a whole cake right now. By myself. The whole thing. And I'd lick the knife. I'm not having a bad day. It's actually been mostly pleasant. And I'm not especially stressed over anything except that there's no cake in the house. Not even a cookie that I could dunk in some hot chocolate. I hate eating healthy sometimes. Anybody else grumpy tonight over lack of dessert?

Do you want to share my cheesecake? Somehow I don't think that will help.

Do you want to share my cheesecake? Somehow I don't think that will help. But, it's really good! And there's whipped cream and caramel sauce and peaches!

I have some chocolate ganache in the freezer...and some whipping cream. I can whip up a chocolate mousse in no time flat. I will be happy to share. (my friends laugh and say that "of course YOU WOULD have chocolate ganache in the freezer." I bake a lot and always have something stuck in the freezer. )

Yum! I love cake. No icing for me though, I like plain cake best. Lots of it!

I just had half a bagel because I wanted something sweet. It didn't cut it. I still want something. Cake sounds good.

Yeah, I have a grumpy DH. He's having some medical tests done so he's on clear liquids starting at midnight until Thursday afternoon. He's not taking this well especially since I hid the cookies so he wouldn't be tempted.

I caved and made myself a sandwich.
But yes, I would much rather have had cheesecake and whipped cream and caramel sauce and chocolate ganache.
Thank you all for offering to share. It was kind.
But really, I want carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, with walnuts and big fat raisins.
That's what I want.
Or a box of Krispy Kremes which I would nuke individually for exactly 11 seconds.

Hope his tests go well.

I live by myself so I purposely don't buy candy or sweets cause of course I'd be the only one eating it. There are times when I crawl the walls craving for m&m's or any kind of chocolate. I usually have some type of chocolate granola bars in the house, which I'm very aware just cause they say granola, are NOT that good for you. Once I was so hungry for something sweet, I made some concoction with flour, eggs butter and cinnamon. It was not good.

I keep a jar of chocolate chips in my fridge for when I want something like cake. A small handful will usually satisfy my craving.

I will come to your house with the carrot cake and fresh Krispy Kremes because you know exactly what is supposed to be in a carrot cake, and exactly how long to nuke the KKs!
All I have to offer here, though, is some non-Walmart ice cream sandwiches. I'm on a kick with them lately.

I've been craving cake. I'm too lazy to bake one. I did pick up some nestle Girl Scout candy bars 2 of the thin mint and 2 of what looks to be the samoa. I didn't try them because I still have those 2 big canker sores and a new born small one. I hate being puny

Well, thank you very much, everyone. You have just made me crave something sweet. I had to have a barium meal x-Ray this morning - so nothing to eat or drink before it, since last night. I had the x-Ray ok (yuk! 3 different 'stuff' to drink!) then felt nauseous the rest of the day, and a lot of diarrhoea. (Sorry. TMI) And now you have all set up the craving for something sweet. i contemplated stopping at Dunkin Donuts on the way to work tomorrow. Even looked up what time they open. Dunkin Donuts! How desperate is THAT!! Then I remembered that I can't drive because my arm is in a cast after breaking my wrist. Insurance is paying for me to get to work by cab - I don't think they would be impressed by a detour to a cake or donut shop. Stupid gastro x-Ray. Stupid broken wrist. Stupid cravings.

I am now singing "Do you wanna share my cheesecake" to the tune of Frozen's "Do you Wanna Build a Snowman." Clearly, insomnia is getting to me.
But I have a cake story. A couple of Mondays ago a coworker bought a cake from a bakery at 7 am and ate some for breakfast before sharing it with us. Apparently she'd had a craving all weekend. She was strong for two days, but "cracked" on her way into work.

10.40am here and after reading this I really want a huge slice of real cream filled chocolate cake or an apricot danish from a particular place, or both, with a cup of coffee! Can't get either locally so this is now going to cause a problem all day!! Well, at least I've got the coffee! Goodness, the power of suggestion is very strong!!

Zero I imagine. It sounds orgasmic. You were all correct - I just had a slice after my very healthy avocado/salad sandwich instantly ruining the benefits It was lovely though...made without flour and the egg whites are whipped like meringue then folded in which gives it a lovely slightly crunchy, gooey texture - divine
