I had to stop reading this by about post [HASH]4. I've given up sugar. Permanently. I want cake, and cookies, and chocolate ganache. But I can't. I knew the day would come when I would have to grieve for all of the sugar I can't have. It may be sooner than I think. One day I'm just going to sit down and have a good cry and then move on with my life.

Caster sugar is available in the us, you just have to look for it in the sugar aisle, its called something like super fine baking sugar and it comes in a quart milk carton looking container.
I'm craving this amazing cake I got on vacation, it was a light white cake with whipped cream like stuff between the layers, covered in sea foam or honey comb candy. I shared half with dh who said it was okand said he made me sad that I shared it, its a five and a half hour drive away to get that cake!

Thank you for info...I'm going to look for it next time I go to the store-if for no other reason than I like to add sugar into my whipping cream when I am making it and I bet it would dissolve/incorporate better as it is being made.

Glad I could help but I use powdered sugar in my whipped cream, melts right in :-)

I just made spring rolls-- with those rice wrappers-- filled with lots of great veggies and had 3 birthday cake M&M's for dessert. They are actually very sweet so 3 was enough!
