I don't have a lss and my work schedule makes it difficult for me to get away on weekends so I haven't been to a lot of crops. A friend and I usually manage to get away to 1 weekend crop a year. I always have a great time and feel like I get a bunch done. It' nice to have that time set aside just for scrapbooking with nothing else getting in the way.

No.
I resent the time spent packing and unpacking. I could just use that time to scrap and get so much more done.
I don't like making kits in advance.
Scrapping isn't social for me.

Packing everything up can be a pain. I think if I went on more crops I would probably get a system working to make it easier. We just got back from our last crop and unpacking hasn't been too bad.

I love going to crops! Being with others that speak the same language and seeing what they create always inspires me to do more scrapping.

I have packing and unpacking pretty much down to a science, everything has its place. And with the checklist someone reposted the other day and revised for my needs, it really did help this past weekend to make sure I had what I needed. The only thing that slows me down packing wise is picking out patterned papers to take, because I can't take my entire stash.
I do enjoy getting together and if I only complete one page, then so be it. I stayed home this past Saturday and scrapped, only completing one page. On Sunday, I went to a crop, again only completing one page. Getting to hang out with other crafters who get what you are doing, is fun and sometimes you just need some girl time with laughter and silly talk.

I enjoy the occasional crops though I'm certainly more of a lone scrapper. However, the burden of packing and even more unpacking really limits my enthusiasm for these events. I do enjoy going and learning new things or seeing what others are doing - that part is always fun.

I pack light and only plan to make a few things. I like to chat and enjoy my free time...I don't do pressure to churn out pages. I also have to take breaks from the cropping area if it's jam packed with croppers and tons of scrap stuff. If I am blocked in I get really overwhelmed and anxious. I haven't attended as many crops in the past few years as I would have liked but now I have the chance to change that. I'm excited to get beck to my tribe.

I LOVE them but don't go too often. Maybe one weekend crop and 2-3 day crops per year. I love doing something I love with my friends who have a shared interest. The weekend crop is with friends who live all over the country and this is my only opportunity to see them each year. A day crop doesn't take too long to pack/unpack since I don't need to bring that much. The weekend crop is a little trickier because I have to fly to NC. But I enjoy every minute of it.

Love going to crops! I go to several day crops and about 2-3 weekend crops a year. Most of my stuff is organized in bins that can easily be put into totes to take along. I take my backlog of SC kits and kits I put together myself. I still take too much, but I love the uninterrupted time, the laughs, the chance to buy new stuff, etc.

No. The time packing and moving stuff is time I could be doing something. The few times I've done it I usually just ended up packing my Copic markers (which have a nice, sleek, compact case that is a breeze to pack), printing or stamping a few images, and just colouring the whole night. Totally not productive time, really, since that means a pile of images coloured but not made into cards. I have gone because friends wanted to go and it was time with them, that's it. And perhaps DH would like a night at home where I *wasn't* home. Now that I'm no longer friends with those people I don't have to worry about going out at all and that's just fine.

I really enjoy it. My LSS closed and I really miss going there a couple of times a month. I made SO many friends and actually got a lot done. I spent a lot of time at home getting "kits" ready, so packing was always easy. I find that I'm just not as productive at home. It's tough to get started. Going to crops sort of kick started me.

I love it. My friends and I try to get together at least once or twice a month. Sometimes it's our whole group of 9+ sometimes it's just a few of us. Either way we have a great time. I've been to so many that I've gotten the whole packing thing down. I can usually gauge how much I can get done in an evening, plus I love hanging out with my friends, so that's always worth it to me.

I've never been to one either. It doesn't appeal to me for some reason. My SIL is a scrapper and we get together every now and then and that's super fun, so I guess that fulfills my social scrappy needs lol. I would hate to pack up stuff, get there and realize I'd left the "perfect" paper or embellie or whatever at home. I like having all of my stuff on hand.

Unpack? Haha, most of the time the stuff I pack for a crop that occurs every month, STAYS packed until the next one! I try to meet up with my sister who lives an hour away every 2 weeks also to scrap, so often my most-used, go-to supplies are packed up and I just print new pictures each month or bring a new scrap kit with me to mix it up.

My LSSs have closed so I've started having a few friends over maybe 2 or 3 times a year. They come to my place because I have the most stuff;) Definitely don't miss all the packing and unpacking. That's the bit I hate!

I love them! All my LSS's have closed, so we are struggling to find a good place to meet. My house was ok, but not the perfect setup.
I go to a 3 day crop every November and love it. I don't have to think about housework, meals, work...it's just a bunch of great women doing whatever we want.

Except that I don't mind social scrapping, I just want someone to come to my house so I don't have to pack or plan in great detail. My niece used to come scrap with me, and it was a blast. But she got involved with a young man and then had the audacity to marry him. She's still in "honeymoon" phase. ugh.

I love crops! I am very much a social scrapper. I do my best work feeding off the creative energy of others. I do have a system when it comes to packing/unpacking so it takes me just a short time to pack and unpack. I wish I could get together more with my buds.

I love crops also. I've gotten fairly good at packing and like others have said, a lot of the time my things don't get unpacked between crops. I just pull out what I need if I scrap at home...

Love them, especially ones that require being away from home for the whole weekend. It's fun to have time not only to scrapbook, but to eat too much and laugh too much! I have a couple of scrapping buddies who like to go, too, so we really look forward to those weekends away that provide time just for ourselves.

I love going to crops. Crops are my favorite thing. That said, I've been to my share and more of bad crops. I was a regular on the crop nightmare thread. But I like a good long crop to get into my zone and crank out layouts that I can take home and put away and enjoy.
My favorite crops start Fri night and resume Sat and go all day long; preferable until midnight. They are free, with large table space, good lighting and nice environment with respectful attendees. They allow for hours of productive creative time, some socialization, some snacking and some sharing where desired. The crops I go to now have about 70% of my perfect crop criteria.

I love going to crops! I'm also a social scrapper and love to walk around and look at what other people are working on. I'm lucky, I have a group of friends that loves to crop and we try and get together a few times a year to scrap. Plus we have a few stores around that host crops as well.

I am a single mom so going to a crop requires paying a babysitter and it means that I need to put a lot of forethought into what I am going to create. I have been scrapping alone for so long that leaving my stuff behind leaves me with that mild panic "what if I need something!?" feeling (which is silly). My favorite solution to this is Skype/Google Hangout crops, I've done it a couple of times and I had the best time, I could actually scrap and I could be social, it was the best of both worlds! The only tricky part is organizing such a thing.

I have done online crops too which are fun. Only probably for me is the time difference and other family members still sleeping or wanting to sleep.

I used to love crops - and preferred weekend retreats as it makes the packing/unpacking time worth it (and also love the dedicated time for the craft). It's been close to a year since the last weekend and I don't have any on the horizon sadly. Day crops don't do it for me anymore - too much pre-planning to make the few hours worthwhile!

I do but I do try to pack light. Maybe just work on one project like a mini album as a gift or project life.

Count me among those who love going away to scrap! I don't usually get a lot done but I really NEED the time away with my gal pals to talk, laugh (A LOT!), shop and be a little silly. I have most of my current scrapping stuff in bins categorized by theme or event, so I just print the photos I want to scrap (some of my bins have photos in them that I didn't get around to scrapping previously) and grab the bin(s) with that stuff in it plus my tool bag and pens and I'm good to go. I need to do a better job of planning specific layouts and using sketches though so I'm sure to have all of the extra generic doodads that I might need for the pages I want to work on that I typically forget. I'm a WAHM with a preschooler at home and a DH that works a lot, and I don't get away nearly enough for my own sanity.
All that said, I really, REALLY can't wait to get my home studio space finished off the way I want it. When that finally happens it will make it a lot easier for me to have friends come over to work on stuff here for day crops in between. I can *almost* see the light at the end of the tunnel! I'm seriously looking forward to being able to ship off DH, DD and the dogs to the lake for the whole weekend and then my BFFs could just come stay here for the weekend. Best of both worlds!
