I have those kind of brows naturally, LOL. They're very black and thick, and nicely shaped. Only thing I have to do is trim them with scissors once a week. I'm finally in style!!!!! Haha me, too! I have "old man" eyebrows. I have to pluck everyday and scissor once a week. I've been doing this since around the 7th grade.

I've become self conscious about my eyebrows lately. They are thinning quite a bit. I occasionally attempt to pencil them on, only to decide it looks stupid and wipe it off. I'd love to get them tattooed on, but haven't worked up the nerve to do it yet. This is me too. I have very light colored thinning brows. When I went on our cruise, I had someone at Ulta help me find the right shade of eyebrow pencil but even with that they just don't look right. Since I almost never wear makeup it doesn't really matter all that much. But recently finding a single crazy long old man eyebrow in one of mine that I never noticed previously around the time of the last eyebrow thread WAS pretty distressing! Seriously, how did I look at myself in the mirror day after day and NOT see that? I don't think I could do the tattoo thing either. I know someone who did that and it went way, way wrong. It's just much too permanent for me.

idahomom - I bet nobody even knows yours are tattooed. I have always thought that tattooed brows looked weird, but now I realize that it's only the identifiably tattooed ones that look weird! What I really don't get are the brows that have that bluish classic tattoo hue. I get why one would want permanent brows, but why would you want ones that LOOK like tattoos?

idahomom, your brows are fabulous! I would totally do it if I could get your look. I was a serious over plucker in the 70s and 80s and regret it now,

inkedup Damn girl, I got to get me some of those Bermuda Triangles for my eyebrows and also those Arch of Destiny ones too. I will admit that I don't wear makeup very often, and pretty much ignore my eyebrows, but here's my question about that video: what did she do to her natural brows? Are they just covered with powder somehow or did she massively pluck them also? Also, I had no idea I was supposed to be drawing brows in halfway up my forehead.

My girlfriend had hers 'tattooed' on, but it is not permanent. I can't rmemeber what she called it, but , it seems fairly new. I looked into it and they do look fabulous! I couldn't do anything permanent, but, I would love to try what she did. Can't think of the dang name!

I've heard of this but referred to as eyebrow microblading. The video made me cringe, a woman was dipping a scalpel into ink and drawing the individual hairs into the skin with small cuts. It looked great but OUCH!!! So of course I'd totally do it. Lol

The "on fleek" got me! The only place I have heard it is from my teen son who oddly enough says everyone(aka girls he likes) at school keeps telling him his eyebrows are on fleek! This has gone on for a year or more. He says it...studies his brows in the mirror while angling his head this way or that or takes a selfie and studies it...and says "yep. They look AMAZING!". Usuallly with a flip or two of his "on fleek" rock star hair as well. Dh & I stare at him like fools with no clue what the hell he is talking about..until now! That is life in the Betty household.

Eyebrow maintenance is part of my daily routine. I keep 'em high n tight. I also pencil them with a color a few shades darker than my hair.
My dd's bff's mom has some seriously tattooed brows. They are perfect, but very bold. I've wanted to closely inspect her brow situation but feel weird about it lol. I might go the tatooed route one of these days. Maybe my divorce gift to myself.

What few pale brows I used to have have thinned and faded badly. I use a small angled brush and Omega MAC eye shadow. The only problem is when I use my camera, I end up with one brow. I'd tattoo if I weren't afraid it would fade to that bluish ink look.
DD is a makeup artist, with gorgeous brows. Mostly natural. She deplores the heavy, very drawn on look some women are wearing currently.

i had no idea eyebrows were such a big deal!! i work with troubled kids and or vo-tech types so makeup either isn't allowed where they are placed, or they are working on heavy equipment and aren't the fleeky eyebrow types i guess...

Does your coworker take selfies during work? Lol. It's mostly selfies in her car right before she walks in the door. The caption is usually either whether her hair is "on point" or if the brows are "on fleek." idahomom - your tattoed brows look fabulous.

Mine are not dark and dramatic, but they are definitely perfect. Because I had the "permanent eyebrows" done -- they are tattoos. I know many people scoff at this, and everyone knows someone who is horror story, but I did my research and it was the perfect solution for me. My eyebrows were thin, light, and almost non-existent from both heredity and years of plucking as a young adult. I just got tired of adding brows in with eyebrow pencil every day, so I had the permanent ones done. It's been almost 5 years, and they still look great!

a young girl came in the other day to interview for a job in our office and had these dark fairly big super-defined eyebrows. i wondered how she it but stencils would make sense. i thought it was odd and distracting so i tried not to stare. to each their own, i find those cow rings people put thru their noses pretty darn distracting too. as well as those spacer things that give you giant ear holes....

My younger daughter shades in her brows (they match her hair & coloring, and aren't too heavy) and they look great. I will say she is far better at doing make up than her dear old mama. I won't say their on fleek though cause she told me the other day that fleek is no longer a "thing" (and all I could hear in my head was from Mean Girls "Stop trying to make fetch happen, it's not going to happen") ETA: I don't mind penciled in brows. But when they have them shaved off (or however they remove them) and drawn on I think that looks a bit odd!

Ha! I went to have my brows waxed before my trip to Boston 2 weeks ago and when the stylist was done I thought they were much too thick and asked her to do them again. She did them over and over until I like them. I admit I haven't had them done in over 2-3 years so it'd been awhile. I like them slender and natural looking. She also dyed them with a vegan dye to bring back some of the color. I love the way they look now, and they were the same slenderness as the stylist's who was in her 20's while I am 55. Now I get why she did them at first so thick. Is that what is in now? I hate thick eyebrows. I don't care what is in, I never have. I like what I like, and I go by that. Always have. Well, after I was a teen that is. Since my stylist dyed my brows with that vegan color I no longer have to pencil them in-it's wonderful!!! Debbie in MD. Had to laugh that you asked her to do more work to get them more 'natural' looking.

My eyebrows are my least thought about feature. I got my nails done and the tech asked if I wanted her to do my eyebrows. I'm thinking, what's wrong with my eyebrows?! LOL
DD on the other hand obsesses over her eyebrows. She is on the lookout for the perfect eyebrow makeup for her 16 year old self. They are perfectly fine and normal. I didn't know eyebrows were THE thing. It makes sense now.
I have a friend who just draws a line of eyebrow pencil. That's all you see because her eyebrows are either blonde or nonexistent. Plus a few of my closest friends can't live without blue eyeliner. So there's that.
Somebody please tell me what on fleek is. I'm not googling.

My gal did hair stroke tattooing. Mine will fade and get a little grayish, but I was told I'd need yearly touch-ups. So, as soon as I notice any fading I call and get in. It's only $50 for my touch-up so totally worth it to me even if it's twice a year.

Instagram brows. Not my fav. Mine were always thick and full. Now I have a small bald spot and I cannot figure out for the life of me why.

my brows are pretty light so once in a while I get my hairdresser to darken them. I'd really like to learn to use a pencil to define them more. I think it would frame my face. I laughed at the "instagram eyebrows" comment..... I say the same thing with some of the makeup / eyelash peeps I follow

Apparently "on point" wasn't sexy enough, so someone came up with the most ridiculous word possible to replace "point".

OMG, these are so thick to get tattooed on! I think the tattooed eyebrows the earlier pea posted are lovely. I can see getting brows tattooed, but I think I'd go with the thinnest possible and then if the current trend was thicker, fill in to get that look. It's one thing to tattoo something that is missing, it's a totally different thing to get the current style tattooed! Her after picture looks good... for now. That will be out of style and/or not flattering to her face as she ages. At least if they were thin she could still adjust with makeup. Yikes. Man, if someone could make a quality tattoo ink that had a few year lifespan before disintegrating, and it was reliable, they'd be a zillionaire.

teri, I think you are lovely as is.
idahomom, I think they did a fabulous job with your brows.
There is the nicest girl who works the front desk at my psychiatrist's office and I just saw her yesterday. She is friendly and fabulous. But her brows are so fake looking. It is almost as though there are no natural brows, but heavily drawn on brows. I think it looks a little weird.
Who am I to judge, though? My brows are scrawny. Seriously, I get random hairs everywhere on my eyelid that I am constantly plucking because they don't go with the shape of my brows. But where my brows should be, they are sparse and long. I have to trim them. My 15 year old DD does absolutely nothing to her brows and they are just about perfect. I would kill to have her brows.

So timely, My daughter who is wonderful at makeup has started doing these really dark eyebrows. People are noticing. I call them her 'angry eyes' because it's the first thing I see when I look at her. So like a mom I've told her they are too dark and like a 18 year old daughter she gets mad at me. Even her dad, who doesn't notice things like this mentioned it to me. I hope the trend is fleeting because it really does not look good on her. She is a beautiful girl and has a very tasteful way of doing her makeup but this just throws everything off.
