Good morning girls! I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm still doing ok...struggling with being hungry between 3-5pm. I have a snack around 3:15 but then by 5-5:30 (when I'm getting ready to start dinner) I'm starving again. I hope that it's just PMS or something. LOL Because it's getting old. I did put in a workout yesterday PLUS went for a walk in the afternoon. I got more than 11K steps. My goal is only 6000 so I love days when I get more than 10K. I realized yesterday that I'm out of a lot food stuffs so I'm going to do grocery shopping today instead of tomorrow. There's a new Whole Foods that opened last week and I tried to go on opening day but there was a line of people outside just to get in so I decided to wait. Hopefully it's not crazy busy this morning and I can give it a try. I'm also going to work on laundry today too. Yesterday I scrubbed both bathrooms, tubs and toilets and sinks. I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Today I slept in and skipped my BBM cardio. I am planning on a 3 mile run tonight and an hour long Zumba class with some friends. That should be comical. I have no rhythm.
My students are taking a 2 hour state testing pretest today. That is age appropriate...NOT. I will be getting lots of steps in during that for sure.
Have a great day ladies!

brandy327 How's your protein at lunch time? Im wondering if upping the amount of protein at lunch (or having a protein based snack) will help. Great job on the 11K steps! TankTop I feel you on state testing. My kids finished theirs a couple of weeks ago. I'm having a Doctor Day--took off work and am on dr visit #2 of 4. Once I got the first two scheduled I decided to see how much more I could get knocked out at once! I'm running errands in between appointments. The weather is kind of gloomy but it's nice to have a day to get stuff done. Scale is holding pretty steady--I'm up about 3ish pounds from my lowest weight, but if I'm being honest with myself it was definitely a shade too low for me. Hoping to keep steady within a 5 pound range. I did have my birthday the other day so there's a strong possibility there has been carrot cake in my life. Lifting after my last appointment tonight, lots and lots of squats and midline work. Have a great day!

TankTop - it would be rather comical if I did Zumba too. My niece teaches it and everytime I in Vegas she tries to get me to go to her class...no way!
brandy327 - good job on the Steps!
I did a side by side of me today and a year ago. The picture from a year ago was when our agency won non-profit of the year. I was so excited for the award but devastated when this was the picture posted in the newspaper.
Ugh! I vowed to never look like that again.

littlefish I usually have between 2-4 oz of turkey breast or chicken, or I'll eat a Greek yogurt. I try to always have protein for lunch. I'll often have almonds or peanuts or some kind of nut for an afternoon snack along with some fruit. needmysanity Look at you!!!!!!!!!!! You're doing amazing!! Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for sharing the pic! You can really tell a difference. I was just thinking this morning about whether or not anyone here has more before and after pics to share. @brandy how many grams of protein do you eat per day? Maybe tweaking your carb/fat/protein rations would help? I'm having a good day of eating today. So far on plan and not sure how I will eat everything I have planned. Had to work early so didn't do my workout. I plan to do it tonight when making dinner.

I was home for lunch when I posted last and decide that rather than sit on the couch for half an hour I could get my workout in. BBM upper body is done. TankTop which BBM challenge are you doing now?

Had to work early so didn't do my workout. I plan to do it tonight when making dinner. Hmmmm, I have no idea what I'm supposed to be eating as far as carb/fat/protein....let me see what MFP says, if it can be trusted. LOL It says 246 g carbs, 66g fat, and 99g protein. Now, let me say that it also gives me close to 2000 calories per day. MOST days, I only eat around 1000-1200 per day. If I eat 2000 calories a day, I'd gain weight...sucks but it's a fact of life for me. LOL So what I'm seeing is that I eat anywhere from 60-80g protein per day, somewhere around 100-150g carbs per day, and around 45-60g fat. I actually put together a before/after photo today! Let me resize it and I'll share it!!

I did this as a TBT on IG. 2007 on the left, after I'd already lost 40-50 lbs. Then Easter of this year on the right. It's taken 12+ years but my current total weight loss is 138 lbs.

Hi Ladies- I'm still plugging along. I can tell my belly is getting flatter-YAY! Had to go get epidural cortisone injection in my back today. It's been a year and a half since I had one and all of this working out has taken a toll on my lumbar. So, it's rest tomorrow- but I did go to gym before appointment today.
brandy327- I'm no expert by any means, but that sounds like a crazy amount of carbs per day to me. I have definitely found that protein keeps me fuller longer. You're doing great!
TankTop- Wow- I'm glad you called the police. You shouldn't have to worry about nutjobs when you want to run.
needmysanity- Great job!
Patter- Great news on your DD!

Today has been a rough eating day. My schedule got messed up this morning so lunch didn't happen before I had to leave the house. I ended up getting Wendy's and because I was starving did not make some good choice. Blah! Hoping to get home from the car dealership early enough to make a healthy dinner! brandy327 and needmysanity those pics are awesome!

I just found a carb calculator and it recommends 172g carbs per day. So that's a bit less than what MFP suggests.

Dang hot mommas! Look at you all! I am so impressed with how well everyone is doing! brandy327 Have you ever consulted a dietician? It seems to me that you are not eating enough calories. I know it is scary to eat more, but 1000 is so few. I'm going to go find a pic. BE right back!

This is first set is July 2015-September 2015 second set is August 2014-August 2015 third set is March 2015 (after a day on the beach) to March 2016 I vow to NEVER go back to that other person. The middle picture just looks so puffy. I wonder if my synthroid was off at the time. I mean, I was a chunky girl and all, but that looks like water puffiness to me. Or, I am just making excuses. Lol!

It's been several years since I have but not a whole lot has changed. And through my dh's employer we do a wellness program and since I don't meet their criteria, due to my being obese, I have to take phone calls from a nutritionist/health coach every 6 weeks for about 6 months of the year. While everyone really agrees that 1000-1200 calories isn't much, it's what my body responds to. I'd say at least twice a week, I hit 1300-1600. And once or twice over the last 4 months, I've hit 2000+! LOLOL

It seems that you would be a perfect candidate to meet with someone who can give you personalized advice to manage and treat your hormonal and autoimmune issues, determine if there are foods that are working against you and figure out what the optimal ratio of carbs, fat and protein for you. Is mfp giving you 2000 calories based on your current weight and set to lose weight? It seems that you are Eating way too few calories.

Speaking of before and after pics...I posted the other night but am not sure if anyone saw it. I have a pic from last fall and took a pic in the same clothes the other day and there is absolutely no difference even though I have lost almost 15 lbs. I am very short so it seems that it should be noticeable. I have lost a few inches here and there and my clothes are slightly looser, but nothing major. Besides stepping up my workouts and continuing with healthy eating, are there any suggestions on how to lose more inches (and lbs, but I really need to lose fat on my belly and arms)?

brandy327 Here's a macro calculator I like - it's specifically designed for people doing low carb, but you can set the macros any way you want, and then at the end adjust the total calories and it adjusts it from fat. It has a cool weight loss projection graph too. Generally the advice you see is to set it as "Sedentary" so it doesn't over-estimate your calories. As I've compared real-life progress to the projections, for me Lightly Active is the most accurate. keto-calculator.ankerl.com/Everything is good here. Got a last minute call yesterday afternoon to come out to Utah for work, so here I am. It is snowing HARD where I'm at, which is some BS, but I'm in my hotel and settled for the night, and car is in the parking garage so I won't have to scrape it. I swung by the grocery store and picked up some of my regular items. When I don't have a work reason/going out with people reason to eat out, I really prefer regular grocery store food than room service or eating in a hotel. There's a business out here called Puppies for Rent and since I couldn't get a flight back until 6 am Saturday, a friend and I are renting a puppy for an hour and a half tomorrow night! OMG!! JUST WHAT I NEED... a puppy I can play with and then send on its way. Then we're going out to dinner, but I'll make good choices. When I land Saturday morning (around 9:45), I'll drive straight to the last WW meeting at my normal center, which is at 11 AM. I usually go to the 8 AM but don't want to skip a week.
