Over the years, I have participated in several card swaps. I have received some lovely cards, but cannot bring myself to send them. I have made cards for so long and sent only my own cards that using somebody else's card would be like using a Hallmark card. So I have a stash of perfectly lovely cards, made them better than mine, that I just can't send. Does anyone else have this problem here

I also donated mine. I stopped swapping because of the stash of finished items I had accumulated. I did more than just card swaps. And I only did one on one swaps but it still doesn't take long until you have "too much stuff". In another group I heard about remaking cards so that they could be used without anyone knowing you didn't make it yourself. But personally I can't do that.

I don't use other people's cards either - since I make so many of my own. I agree about donating. I also stopped doing any swaps.

Unless they have glitter. And everything is my room is cross-contaminated.

You can bind the card fronts and make a mini book, for future inspiration.

I've been in a few swaps but never sent the cards I've received, mostly because I realized that the cards I make and send are so personal (my own style of creation and also with the recipient in mind) that it seemed weird to send ones I didn't make. I do love to have them for inspiration of new styles and techniques though!

No problems here. I will use another person's card easily. I try to match the card to the person and if someone else captured the feeling I'd like in a swap, I figure it saves me time making it myself. I can devote that time to a layout or art journaling or a card for someone else.
