Remember this thread... I have no clue how to link to the other thread but.....a new chapter has arose. Anyway.... My dd and I spent the day at the court house waiting to be a witness in his one month suspension without pay hearing. Right before the hearing...literally minutes he accepted the charge ( or whatever you call it ). I am so happy and thankful that my daughter did not have to go in front of the board/lawyers ect. I hope this is the end to this saga.

I do remember your thread. I felt so bad for your daughter; that POS was so scary and I'm really glad to hear he got suspended. Makes me feel all momma bear just thinking about it.

Glad that she didn't have to testify, Luanne. If you feel comfortable talking about it, do you care to share how you found out about the suspension? Was your daughter subpoenaed, questioned before hand, etc.?

I missed something. Did you get a lawyer or request the cam be reviewed after she paid her ticket?

Kelly, the internal affairs officer contacted her a couple weeks ago. They met last week and he gave her the subpoena. She talked to the IA officer a number of times and the lawyer working with him. They were hoping this would happen earlier but it did not. So we had to go to the hearing.

They felt the way he handled the stop was not appropriate.

I remember your post. I am glad he is facing punishment for his actions. It still makes me angry to think how scared she must have been.

I remember your first thread and commented on the situation at the time. I am glad to hear that there has been a resolution, and even happier still that it is a suspension without pay. I appreciate that your daughter told her story and that your local department took it seriously. It is always a win for the community and the police when officers who are breaching their duties are held accountable. Let's hope that this sets him straight.

I'm glad it was handled correctly through the department. LEO'S have a hard enough time doing the job. There is no need for those that are dishonouring their duties as it reflects badly on those that are honoring their duties.
