Happy Friday! It is a beautiful day and I hope you all are having a great day so far. Last night, I started my first guitar class!!!! I have been wanting to take it for a while and finally got to do it. I was lost lol but hopefully after more time I will catch on. My dh had a guitar at his folks forever and I asked about it a few years ago. He got it and is letting me have it. So maybe I will be able to play something soon. Glad you all like my "Be Happy..." sign I made. And YES, I did trace and cut out ALL those letters!!!! It was a true labor of love. It was a lot of work but it felt relaxing. After a while I was definitely tired of cutting. LOL! The instructor even wished she would of brought her Cricut. They get these instructions from the headquarters and I guess are encouraged to teach it like it says. So maybe next time, whatever teacher I get can make the projects easier. But it was fun! Also, I got my scrapbook order yesterday. Oh boy did I get lots of fun and pretty papers. I got more of that "Cottage Rose" but I also ordered the kit "Hello Gorgeous" from MME and also got a few sheets from Simple Stories "Carpe Diem." They all feel like a summer garden. So I will be making more cards and layouts. erica- WELCOME! So nice to meet you. Hope you enjoy sharing and chatting with us whenever you want. Nylene- Hope your dgd and ds are ok. Sending a little prayer for you and them. Thanks for telling how you made those flowers. So, so pretty! I maybe have to get some dies like that. Cindy- Glad your dgs had a great concert! What talented kids you have. Have you been able to get back to walking these days? All those trails you have are so nice. Grammama- Wow, look at your beautiful yard! I know your veggies will be very happy growing there. Lisa- My dh is going to the Civil War movie tomorrow. I know he is gonna come home all extra happy. LOL! He loves all these super hero movies and he is a old school comic book guy. I like some of the movies and tv shows. On Saturday nights, we have a tv station that plays the retro shows like Superman, Batman, the Hulk and Wonder Woman. We love this line up and my fav of course is Wonder Woman. Maribeth- Have fun getting ready for your trip. I know you both will have a great time.

Hi, Pokeys! Welcome, erica8 , we are always happy to have new members. Feel free to post as much or as little as you finish each month, and come and chat when you can. This is a NO PRESSURE challenge. Tell us a little about yourself and be sure to post your layout. I'm glad you will get some scrappy time after work. maribeth , if I don't get back here before Sunday, have a wonderful and safe trip! I have a layout to post. This was fun to do because I stitched down all the diamonds. I don't remember to add stitching very often. 3 Gingers by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Happy Birthda Puppy Card by Nylene Budge, on Flickr and this card I made for DGS's 9th B-day.

Happy Saturday evening! I have to start out by saying....We had snow today! SNOW! It didn't stick of course, but one apple tree is all blossomed out and 2 peach trees and 1 plum is. I think we're going to lose the fruit this year. boo. maribeth, hope you have a safe trip and great time. Yes, you are weird with liking to pack and unpack. haha just kidding. kellyr21, I've always enjoyed the tv shows too - whether live action or cartoon of superhero shows, but both of my boys (DH & DS) love the whole comic book thing too. Ron and Don would probably get along well. nylene, lovely layout and card. How is Ashley and your son? Hope all things went well. scrapincin, hope you got your photos printed and some scrap time in. I actually was able to finish a layout today. But I'm off to fix bedtime snacks now. DD & I have been sleeping in my king size bed while the boys are gone. Unfortunately, she lets the dog take over her side of the bed and then she pushed me out. In her defense, the dog is dead weight that only the boys can move when she's asleep. She is also a blanket hog. (the dog, not the daughter). So needless to say I'm a bit tired and have been running slow today.

Well, I had a crafty day today. Finished 2 journal pages and 3 scrapbook pages. Still working on dgs's book. Did two facing pages on our flight to Abbotsford: Go go go 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Go go go 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And I filled in a December page. meeting ho ho ho by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Sunday I need to create two bd cards and hope to get at least a couple of pages done. Will see how that goes... Glad you got crafty, too, LisaDV . And hope you got some time and energy to play with those photos, scrapincin ! Hoping your family members are recovering well, nylene . Good luck with the guitar lessons, kellyr21 . I love the sound of guitar music.

Happy Sunday! We had a nice day at my new favorite beach. It was so nice and can't wait to go back again. I did get to M's too and the flowers I was looking for they didn't have. I was so bummed! I had called around a few days ago to different stores to see if they had the flowers and they were all out. Plus these are seasonal items so they won't be getting anymore. So I have to look around and see another idea. Lisa- Snow??? OMG! I hope the weather warms soon. Yes, I think our dhs would get along nicely especially with names like Ron and Don! LOL! Ron did see the movie yesterday and he liked it. Maybe this movie will be a first of several in this series. Grammamadee- You have been busy enjoying yourself scrapping. I hope to get some started this week. I need to order my pictures first. Also, thanks for the good wishes for my guitar class. Hopefully, I will catch on and not be so lost. LOL! Waving hello to you all and have a nice day!

kellyr21, I'm sure you'll be wonderful. Are you using an acoustic or electric? DS has both. He wanted electric, but his teacher uses an acoustic for lessons. DH plays bass, but learned more by ear and not for "real", although was in a band at one point. grammadee, great pages. Waving hello!

I am still around but I had a devil of a time finding my photos. Then My Photoshop gave me fits printing them. It never fails! But just know I am working on these pages. I am having a floater in my left eye and it is giving me fits as it is in my central vision and reading is difficult. But t am on my way and hope want I have been thinking of in my head comes out on the paper. Hope you all had a nice weekend.

scrapincin , I hope that eye smartens up soon. That must be really frustrating. Dh had that after surgery, but it has cleared up. Is this something you need to check up on? Today I was able to finish 4 pages, one journal page for LOAD, and 2 birthday cards for my niece's daughters. Cards were pretty basic. S & A bd cards '16 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Two of the pages were basically photos in a grid, so I didn't post them. These are the two with larger photos for today's prompt: little man 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Little Man by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Tomorrow we are back in the garden again, so I don't think I will get much else done. I pulled out the photos I will be working with next: the skating carnival. I have precut the little Paper Doll magicians and construction workers on Cricut. When I am done, I hope to have 4 pages, two for his book and 2 for mine. But it may not be until mid week before they are done. Hope you all have a great Sunday evening and a marvelous Monday!

Grammadee It is frustrating. I woke up last Monday with it there and saw an ophthalmologist Friday and have to go back in 3 weeks. Hoping it will clear on its own in short order. She wanted to change my lenses also and they are on order. She diagnosed me with cataracts also but moderate so far, and a ocular migraine. Oh and dry eye grrrrr I am beginning to really not be happy with this aging ! I told my friend that the Golden Years are really TARNISHED!!!!

Hope you catch up soon. I was able to finish 4 pages/ 1 double layout and 2 single layout over the weekend. They aren't all winners, but they are done! Thanks to all of you for the well wishes for my DS and DGD on their surgeries. Each was done laparoscopically and they found a little more wrong on each of them, but they are both home and doing well. Jana, knutschen, nice to see you popping in. Busy is good. I hope you get some scrapping time among all the projects and work. scrapincin, Cindy, I was hoping that your floater would either move or your eyes would adjust and look past it. Hoping that that happens so you can get back to the things you love. Glad you are getting some photos printed to do some scrapping. The Shop needs siding and Steve wants to put an epoxy on the floor, and then we can get him moved in. The lights work and it's really bright, which Steve needs. He is going to love it. grammadee, your cards and layouts are wonderful. I left comments in the gallery. LisaDV, I love your layouts. You are really getting some scrappin' done! Will leave notes in the gallery after this post. kellyr21, I took guitar lessons for about a year as an adult. I can play just enough to accompany children when I substitute at school and just for myself. Mine is a folk guitar that mom & dad bought for us the Christmas that we got married....so it should be an antique by now! I hope you love, love, love your lessons and catch on quickly. I have finally finished all my cards and all my boxes. My DD came over today and saw them and wanted to know why I didn't make some for her. I know I have made a few extras so I can fix up a box for her too. I need to take a photo of the whole bunch before I take them to school this week. I think I am about "card-ed" out!! (and I have Card Club this week) whew!

Looking forward to seeing all your cards, nylene . Such a sweet thing to do. Hope your eye issue is improving, scrapincin . LisaDV , those are wonderful pages! We planted the hardier seeds this morning. Peas, corn, carrots, beets, and some salad veggies. And we didn't kill each other. Close, this time, but we both survived! The only crafty thing I did today was my LOAD journal page and a ribbon border on a page I started yesterday. family hike by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Tomorrow I need to go to the greenhouse to pick up my mothers' day gift: we always take in a large pot and have them plant it for us with hardy flowers. Dh pays for it as my mothers day gift. And of course I will need to do some other errands while out and about. Might get a little crafting done in the morning, but not sure yet.

nylene, glad dgd and ds are home and doing well. Can't wait to see your cards. I have cards to do right now and I really don't like to make cards. Funny, since I started out in this hobby - making cards and selling SU!. I loved them then. scrapincin, glad you're working on your layouts. grammadee, left you love the other day, but I just can't keep up with you in the gallery. I'll go see your newest after this. I know I saw a Quirky Life page in a thread that might have been from yesterday that I haven't left love on either. I wish I could bottle your energy. You always seem to be going and/or doing. Wishing everyone a happy and crafty Tuesday.

Must be a busy week for everyone! Hope everyone is okay. I think my crafty streak is winding down. Have a lot of housework to do: dd & family will be here for the long weekend, so I need to do laundry and vacuuming, and generally getting the upper floor livable. Also, now that warm weather seems to be moving in again, I need to get the covered deck cleaned again. Dust and smoke in the air have really settled on all the furniture there since I cleaned it last week. Got to do a couple of girlie pages yesterday and this morning. That was a nice break from all the pages for the little guy's album. fashion 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr fashion 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And I managed to finish a couple of quick pages for my own album on the same event as in his book. Have to figure out how many parallel pages I want to do: his book has now caught up with mine, and I don't know quite where to go from here... But more than that, scrapping is beginning to feel like something I HAVE to do, rather than something I WANT to do. When that happens, I need to take a break, clean up my scraproom, do other things for awhile. Anyway, enough about me. Hope you are all doing well and that spring/summer weather has been good to you.

Thursday is winding down here. Spent most of the day doing housework. This afternoon a fellow dropped in to give us an estimate on redoing some of the windows in our home. Not sure how much we will do, or when we will do it, but he is providing the numbers in segments, depending on how much we do. Cleaned my scrap room today, sorted and put away all the papers and extras I had piled all over the tops of my counters. Didn't get to vacuuming the floor yet, but will prob do that tomorrow. Gave myself a break from crafting today, except for a couple of LOAD journal sized pages. My page yesterday was almost completely all journaling. The prompt was to scrap about something we collect, and when I went looking for stuff to put on the page, the first thing I found was a PL card saying "I collect moments, not things", and I went a little crazy responding to it. possibilities by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then this morning I ended up doing a facing page with a selfie my dgs had taken of us on my ipad. ipad selfie by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And for today's prompt, which was to scrap about a favorite memory, I found a couple of pic's of the girls when they were last at the farm a couple of years ago. Happily, they will be back in July! gardening with girls by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Anyway, that's it for me for the day. Off to post the TYS prompt...

Just a note to let you know I am alive and well. DH has started moving things into the Shop and I have helped in making decisions on things in the basement that need to be trashed or donated. I can't stay in the basement long because of the sawdust, but I'm trying to be helpful. We have family and friends coming Sat. to help lift the big machines in. The only thing left to do to complete the Shop is siding and DS needs to wait a while before doing that kind of work after his surgery. His assistant might be free tomorrow to start on it if the weather cooperates. DH can help him.
We have also had at least one program, concert, play, etc. every night. We have traveled from one end of the county to the other to catch as many of the grandchildren's programs as we can. We were at a play tonight 45 min. south of us and had to miss a concert at the same time 45 min. north of us. They know we try to go to as many as possible.
I see you have been busy scrapping and I'll be back to leave nice comments. Hopefully tomorrow!!

Well, DH is all moved into the Shop. He has a lot to do in order to be ready to really use it. I have spent the day helping put drawers away, helping to reassemble things and just being a general helper. I can do that, but won't be able to clean out and sweep out the old shop with all the sawdust. I am already exhausted, as is he. We had 4 big strong young men show up to help. They worked together and carried out all the heavy, heavy tools. DH had marked off on the floor where each machine went and they placed everything perfectly. They were worth their weight in gold, but I just served them Krispy Kreme donuts and milk!
DS and assistant came to do the siding, but after doing the front in pouring rain, they decided to leave the rest for next week. I noticed DS holding his side a couple of times and made him stop working. He's only 7 days post-surgery and needs to take it easy.
I'm hoping now to have time to do some scrapping or at least cleaning up my scraproom. I hope you are all happy and busy. Be back later.

Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a nice day so far. I plan to do some cards and maybe a little scrapping today. My guitar class is coming along. I still feel lost but not as lost. LOL! I actually learned to play my first ever song, "Mary had a little lamb." I am gonna practice it more and I feel excited after all this time I have had the guitar to finally be able to play something. Lisa- You asked what type of guitar and it is acoustic. It was my dh's and he hasn't played in ages so I asked him a few years ago to let me use it. It was at his folks just sitting there, unused and sad. LOL! Now this guitar is so happy and is making me happy too. Nylene- I didn't know you played too. Wow, we do have so much in common. Boy, we will have a good time if we get together. So glad you got those cards done too. I know the teachers are gonna be so excited to see your cards. Now your dh has his own creative space! How cool is that! Those donuts and milk for the helpers was so kind and yummy. Maybe we "peas" should of helped too. Cindy- I hope your eye is feeling better. You got scrapping and other fun stuff to do. Grammadee- Girl, you have been doing a great job scrapping this month. Off to see your layouts in the gallery.

Congrats on the finished workshop, nylene . Bet everyone is glad that project is finished! What with that and all the year end activities, you are going to need a good rest. Glad you are getting the hang of the guitar, kellyr21. I love the sound of guitar music. Not a lot of scrapping for me. Completed my LOAD pages, but that is it. Did and the little guy arrived this morning. And he had a PLAN! He wanted to ride on the tractor and plant potatoes and play in the basement and see the donkey. Whew! We got it all done. Hope he enjoys the next couple of days as much. If it is raining tomorrow, we will bake cookies.

Quick check in to say Hi! Had a wonderful trip Hovenweep Castle 2016 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Worked all day yesterday (Sunday) in the yard getting my flower pots (seeds) planted. Not looking forward to work, oh how I wish I could become a "fulltimer". Worked on some courthouse pages while on the road, but just got the bases done, need to do the titles and embellishing. Going to granddaughters 8th grade advancement ceremony tonight. I briefly scanned through your posts, need to go back and read in detail and leave love, but it will probably be tomorrow before I will get the free time to accomplish this. Missed you ladies. See you later Go out and make this the best Monday so far this month!

maribeth , I'm glad you had a great trip. We had RAIN, RAIN, RAIN all week long and I was worrying about you. There are so many places that have dangerous flash floods when that much rain comes. grammadee , I love reading your prompts for each day. I have had such a busy week that I haven't kept up, but have been involved in some type of scrapping each day. I just made 4 cards for DH to send to the young men who came to help him move. I cut out hand tools and made it look like they were hanging on a wall with a table saw beneath. Do you think I remembered to take a picture or scan them....nope...they are in the mail! scrapincin , how is the eye situation? Are you getting used to it? I hope so. Keep in touch, my friend. kellyr21 , I'm glad the guitar lesson went better this time. Hang in there, it takes a while and a lot of practice. LisaDV , I had to laugh at your comment about not liking to make cards, but starting out as a SU rep. I haven't really enjoyed making cards until the last couple of years. I still like layouts best. Here's my latest page. Oh The Places You'll Go by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Be back later to chat.

In a few minutes I am off on a short road trip. Included are an appointment at the credit union to purchase an RRSP for next year with the tax refund from last year and prepay this year's tax on my contract income, a trip to Michaels to pick up gc's for my niece's girls, lunch with justjac , a stop at the greenhouse to pick up some cauliflower plants I had ordered, a stop at my niece's place to drop off the girls' bd cards, a stop at the drugstore in town to pick up my meds for the next month. Wanted to relax on my computer for a few minutes before getting ready to go. Took me an hour to get onto the internet this morning. Windows decided that I should be blessed with Windows 10, so upgraded to that FOR me overnight. I have checked that my photos and other files are still intact. I could see that the router was working just fine by the lights on it. Double checked to see that my ipad could accept emails and access sites. Clicked on "Let's Get Started" and it told me to go to Settings. Checked Settings on my PC and found I had to "connect" to the router. Did that. Still nothing. Finally went "duh" and restarted the computer. Now I can get on line. An HOUR!!! Thank you Windows 10! I hope this is not a harbinger for how you will "speed up" my internet experience. Gave you some love in the Gallery, nylene . Glad you got to be creative with all that activity going on this past week. maribeth , good to see you back. Glad your vacation was so enjoyable.

Hi ladies, grammadee and nylene , nice to see some layouts, I'll leave you love as soon as I get a moment to. nylene , you must be thrilled to have your dh all moved into his shop. Congrats. kellyr21 , glad you are enjoying guitar. maribeth , gorgeous photo. Glad you had a good time. I've been busy with house stuff. We finished dd's flooring (I was so sore Saturday that when Don told me that I couldn't help in the closet because there wasn't room enough for us both, I was relieved - ha). I finished my cards, and we put out my dd's strawberry terrace garden. After church and our potluck on Sunday, we took the kids to the furniture store to see if they could find something for their rooms. They did. woot woot. I'll check dimensions against their floor plan later this week and if it all works, we'll order this weekend. Yesterday was errands and some cleaning and today is some mowing. I'm hoping for the rain they're calling for tomorrow and I need to get some of the grass down before that happens. The rider is not running and I've had problems getting the push mower started. It finally did. When it ran out of gas it was time for a break. So I thought I'd see how the pokey's have been before getting back to it. Sounds like everyone has been busy. I'm hoping for some crafty time later this week.

Just stopping by to let you know I am still around. I have not had much time on the computer the past few days and so I am behind as usual lately. I have been working in the yard , going to the kids functions and all the other things that make life enjoyable. My eyes are about the same so far. I really notice it when I am trying to write on the computer. It is hard to read it and then I have to keep correcting things. Believe it or not Bobby and I were making some iron on for some tee shirts I got him. He watched me pull clip art into my Silhouette program resize it and turn it, then flip them horizontally and printed them. He was actually doing himself and went home and pulled up an image he liked and printed the iron on and his dad only had to iron it on. I am still working on my page I may get it finished tomorrow night. I left love in the gallery and will try to stop by tomorrow night.

scrapincin, Cindy, its good to see you and I'm sorry that your eyes are not doing better. I hope as time goes on, you will be able to look beyond the floater. How frustrating that computer work is difficult. It sounds like you had fun with Bobby and the Silhouette. What a little smartie! Kids are not at all afraid of technology. I'm always surprised at the things my grands can do. I hope you post photos of Bobby with his shirts. I'm sure he and Maggie are anxious to have school over for the year. I know my grands are. I talked to Sammie on the phone last night, it was her 9th b-day. She is anxious for Cousin Camp. They are hoping to come the 2nd week in June, depending on whether they have been able to find a new apartment or a home. I'm hoping they can get into a home, but it's so expensive in CA. Off to get something done around the house. Take care of yourselves and I'll be back later.
