Happy NSD Pokeys grammadee - In this particular case, this photographer designed his prints for posters and there is a beautiful graphic title along with his name along the bottom of the print. For the other states I received I was lucky all the names were printed on the back of the print when I hand them printed. Worked on my decorative mini dresser last night (photo when finished), will probably do a few more things on it the AM, then I have to go to the store to get some cheap camping jeans for our upcoming trip. I really don't want to wear my 80-120$ jeans and I only have three of the cheap pairs, with this being a longer trip I need to get a few more pairs. Bandit and Jim are going to snake avoidance school today, and it couldn't be soon enough. Last night there was a huge rattlesnake in our back fenced in area, and Bandit was barking at it and jumping around it, it was striking, but luckily it did not get Bandit. Jim had to kill it, we had no other choice, we have not organizations that can get here quickly enough to safely take it to the wild. So sorry rattlers, if you get into the yard, you are going to meet your maker. Have a wonderful NSD day!

maribeth , you are so nice to be a good hostess. I think most husbands are like yours, expecting the wife to take care of the entertaining. Oooo, the rattler doesn't sound fun, but I don't know anyone but you who would apologize to the snake! I love snakes, but not rattlers. Luckily the ones in our yard are harmless. I am so glad you were able to get those photos. I have not been to Provo for ages, but will get a photo for you when I go. grammadee and LisaDV , you are both scrapping, scrapping, scrapping. You are filling our gallery and how nice that is. Are all you Pokeys scrapping on NSD? I thought I would not be able to, but it's raining here so we can't do anything on the Shop today. So I have been making LOTS of cards for the teachers and have done one layout. I'll post a sample of my cards later. But here is the layout. I have pieces cut out for another batch of cards, so I'll be back later to chat. Have a wonderful National Scrapbook Day! Alex by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Looking forward to seeing your cards, nylene . Glad you and LisaDV got to play today. maribeth , I will live with blizzards if I don't have to put up with rattle snakes! (and would entertain lots of people in the house if dh was on snake patrol LOL) I managed to get a couple of pages finished and did one journal page for LOAD. Have been having fun trolling through the different sites looking at their challenges and examples. Lots out there I would like to LIFT, but not today. I won't be scrapping for the next few days, either. Tomorrow, we are going to have Mothers' Day brunch with dd and her family. Then dh is going to help construct a climbing dome for their little guy. After supper, he is heading home and dd is heading to the city where she will be teaching a class for 2 days, so I will be on deck with their little guy while Daddy is at work Monday & Tuesday. Planning to catch some green houses on the way home on Wednesday. I also have a grad to attend on Friday for the class I was instructing earlier, and somewhere in there we need to put a bunch more seeds into the ground. Will still be able to post the Tell Your Story prompts, but that will be about it for awhile... I have been getting a lot of pages done, and I hate to break the rhythm of it, but it's good to step away from the scraproom and actually LIVE life sometimes, instead of just documenting it!

Happy Mother's Day Pokeys
Such a busy day yesterday, but it felt so good to get everything accomplished. Snake avoidance training for Bandit, some shopping, thorough cleaning of the RV preparing for our vacation that starts next Sunday, laundry, and movie night (at the house) with hubby. Didn't get to scrap for NSD, but I think I will get to do some scrappy stuff today for Mother's Day!
Pokey's go out and make it a wonderful day.

maribeth, ewwwwwww, I'm getting shivery just thinking about it. I only hate 2 kinds of snakes -- live ones and dead ones. ewww. Our puppy have been loving to attack the hose when we water the trees and Don keeps telling me, he's going to catch snakes this summer. I know he just wants to prepare me for it, but I'm like stop saying it every single time. Not sorry for your snake AT ALL. grammadee, enjoy your Mother's day brunch. nylene, I saw and left love on your page in the gallery. It's adorable! Happy Mother's day to all of the Pokey Moms. Hope you all have wonderful plans like grammadee. We'll finally be going to church today. Hopefully as a family. I'll see how dd feels when she wakes up, with the pollen in the air and her cold, it's been a tough week. If we go as a family, we're going to see Captain America Civil War. I like the superhero movies, but I'm not interested in seeing superheros fight against superheros. DH didn't really ask, he just assumed. I'd rather see Jungle Book. DD didn't want to split up on Mother's Day, so I'll go with them. Then I'm making them go shopping with me for a few things we'll need through the week, and Home Depot.

LisaDV - and everyone - Seems as if the snake avoidance training worked, on walk today hubby and Bandit encountered another rattler and Bandit did not approach and walked around it. Here is hoping that it indeed worked and will continue to assist in alerting us to the presence of a rattlesnake. Hope all you ladies are having a wonderful Mother's Day!

Just checking in quickly to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. Our 20 year old grandson came by last night and stayed for 2 hours visiting. We don't get to see him often and it was fun. Have had all the local kids and grands dropping by. We all have different Church schedules so it's hard to get all together on a Sunday. grammadee , I read your comment to maribeth as "I'll live with BUZZARDS if I don't have to put up with Rattlesnakes". I kept wondering why you had so many buzzards around. I was going to ask, when I looked closer and realized it was BLIZZARDS! LOL! Perhaps I need my glasses changed....actually I do! kellyr21 , congrats on your $10 at Scrapbook.com. I hope you find some pretty things. Hi, Cindy! Sounds like you have had a family get-together like ours. You are so kind to your DSIL. I'm sorry they are no longer together. Say hello to Kellie for me and have a great week. LisaDV , I love the two kinds of snakes you hate....live ones and dead ones. You wouldn't like living in my yard! Be back later to post some of my cards. Edited to add: BTW, do any of you remember Sim (Pink Gelato) from 2Peas? She tracked me down on scrapbook.com and asked that I say hello to the Pokeys. I'm trying to talk her into coming over here.

Hello everyone! Little one is sound asleep, but he is usually up really early, so I think I will be heading to bed early too. Need to drop in tomorrow's prompt for TYS. Then crawl into bed with a book. I know I will need a full tank for tomorrow. maribeth , you need to come to Canada. We can get rid of TWO of those natural phenomena for you!

Happy Monday! I am so glad you all had a nice weekend. With my $10 coupon from Scrapbook.com I placed a nice size order. I wanted to get more of that "Cottage Rose" pp and some other brands. I can't wait to get it. Maybe this week. Also, I was happy to see my cards were featured on their site when you scroll down to projects down with that collection. Very cool! So, I am gonna make more cards for graduations and other regular occasions. Maribeth- Rattle snakes? OMG! I don't like any snakes and I am so relieved you and yours are ok. That training sounds great especially for your doggy. WOW! Look are those pretty pages you made too. I am off to see them in the gallery. Also, have fun getting ready for your trip. Nylene- Thanks for the congrats on my win at Scrapbook.com I did have fun shopping over there and can't wait to get my goodies. Lisa- My dh can't wait to see this Civil War movie. I heard it is really great. So maybe he can see it this weekend. Grammadee- Have the fires stopped up there? I hope so. We get fires here at times in So. California. Just glad they are far from me. So scary! Cindy- Are you all excited about the Cavs moving on to the Eastern Conf Finals? I am pulling for them and Golden State to meet in the finals again.

Beautiful cards, nylene. You are so thoughtful to make them for the others in your group. Congrats on your win, kellyr21 . News reports say the fire has gone around the unturned portion of the city. It has migrated to less populous areas. Assessing the damage is happening.

maribeth, your layouts are so pretty and you did a fantastic job on your dresser. nylene, great cards. I'll be heading to the gallery to leave love next. kellyr21, your husband will like Civil War. It was really good. grammadee, hope you're enjoying your dgs. I thought we were on the upswing to our colds and ds and dd woke this morning with a slight relapse. Dang spring colds!!! So other than some school work, they're just vegging out. I think I'll be stopping chores soon and finishing a layout I started on Saturday. oh, and maybe taking the dogs for a walk, as my Beagle pup just came and sat down by me looking all cute.

Happy Tuesday! Last night, I took a papercrafting class at M's. I was the only student to show. The instructor was so nice and fun to chat with. We made a canvas board sign. There was a lot more fussy cutting than I expected but it was fun. I wish you could see the metallic parts on the pic but you'll get the idea. I have gold around the edge of the board and on the letters and feathers. THis was my first time working on a canvas board and now I got some new ideas swirling in my head of how I could really put my touch on it with less cutting. LOL!

Lisa- He is gonna see it this weekend and I know he will enjoy. Hope you all feel better soon. Maribeth- OMG! That is soooo adorable and well done too. I love the bright colors and the neat job you did putting the pp on there. Terrific! Grammadee- Glad to hear the fires are calming down. How's the garden going? Waving hi to you all and have a nice evening!

maribeth , that little chest is amazing. Is that paper you used on the fronts of the drawers? Adding flourishes on the side is a great idea. Did you tell us what it will store, or did I just miss that? LisaDV , I hope your family is all on the mend. I agree that spring and summer colds are the worst. scrapincin , are you still doing OK? I'm sure you have plenty to do around your house, but I hope you are getting some scrappy time too. grammadee , how's the playing with the grands? kellyr21 , I can't believe you were the only one who showed up at your art class. I am excited to see what you will make now that you have learned new techniques on canvas board. I'm expecting more great art. BTW, the flowers on these cards and one of my last ones are made with dies from Stampin Up called Botanical Blooms. This set has several flowers and some really pretty leaves. All of the flowers and leaves below are from that set. I have a couple more cards to post. Sympathy Card by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Thinking of You by Nylene Budge, on Flickr I am getting closer to having my cards all made for my school friends. I made the boxes to hold them today and will decorate them tonight. Be back later. Have a great evening.

I am here! I was waiting until I was on my computer as it is easier to type then on my tablet with a stylus! I have been busy but not so much cleaning! Last night was Bobby's Spring concert. It was fun as they sang songs that I knew-like yakety yak, and a few more. Before that I made them dinner and fed them as Becky had to work till 5:30 and the concert began at 6PM. The night before Jeremy was umpiring so I fed Becky and the lids. So not much scrapping getting done around here even though there is a lot to be done. Maybe tomorrow night. My eyes are bothering me especially with the electronics so not sure what that is al about other then allergies and dry eye.
Nylene- Your cards are so pretty and what a lovely gift! Those ladies are going to so totally enjoy receiving those. I love all the fresh colors and designs you have made. The ones you added to night included. Oh Maggie's last day of school is May 26, Bobby goes a week longer. She will be out before Memorial day.
Kelly- I enjoyed your page and that was a lot of fussy cutting. Did you have to cut all the alphas too?
Maribeth I am loving your room! I love that color comb anyway and how you have used it is beautiful! You are so talented!
Lisa-sorry to hear about all the sickies. I hope they all feel better fast as I know it is slowing you down!
Grammadee I know you are busy. Putting in a garden is a lot of work! But oh will you reap the benefits!
OK time for the news so gotta go then off to bed as 6:30 comes early and I have been up since 4:10AM with my hips hurting. BBL

Hope everyone is feeling better by this evening. I had a very busy couple of days with the little guy, but he was quite cooperative with Gramma, so that was good. I left early this morning, picked up photos I had ordered from WalMart, and stopped at a couple of green houses on the way home. Just relaxed this afternoon and evening, and heading to bed soon. Pretty exhausted... We had been planning to put some seeds in the ground Thursday, but are now targeting Saturday. It has been really cold and windy this week and I refuse to wear a parka while planting garden! nylene , those are lovely cards! Tomorrow, I have to make cards for the students who finished the program I was involved with. Their grad is Friday. Mine won't be as pretty as yours. Thinking of using butterflies and a stamped saying about following your dreams. Should prob look for those stamps tonight as I don't have all day to work on them tomorrow.

It has been really cold and windy this week and I refuse to wear a parka while planting garden! I snorted reading that. I totally agree. Hope you have your energy back and can craft tomorrow since you won't be gardening. nylene, your cards are lovely. kellyr21, I can't believe they had you fussy cut all of that. I would have went and bought a pack of alphabets or stencils and paint. Can't wait to see what you create now that the ideas are swirling. I'll leave you both love in the gallery later. scrapincin, sorry your hip was hurting. Is it feeling better today? Hope you get a chance to relax and to play today. The boys are leaving for Chicago and some guy game time. DH and his buddies throw a gaming weekend every couple of years. DD and I are heading to town this afternoon. She will start her immunology drops today!!!! He said it will be 6 months to a year before we see any improvement and the therapy lasts for 5 or 6 years, but I'm thrilled to be starting. We're also going to the mall to do some shopping since I can't convince her to not grow so fast. It looks like rain and we were hoping for some park play time and a picnic this evening, so hope it comes down hard for the morning (for our trees) and clears out for this evening (for dd). So no more play time for me (I did do 2 ATC backgrounds this morning). Off to prep for the day. Hope everyone has a great day and some crafty play.

Hope the drops help, LisaDV . And hope your hip is feeling better, scrapincin . It is no fun to wake up in pain. I was doing that at my dd's house, and was REALLY happy to get back to my ultramatic bed. It allows me to sleep in a slightly raised position, which really gives my back and knees a rest. I celebrated that bed in my LOAD entry this morning, and linked that to the TYS prompt of the dayWas also happy to come back to my garden. The new leaves and flowering shrubs really gave me a warm welcome: spring garden by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Happy Thursday - just one more workday after today and I am off for a week! YAY! It sure seems like everyone has either been "scrafting" or busy with all the springtime chores! @grammdee, nylene, kellyr21 - left love on all your projects, thank you so much for sharing. nylene - In the chest I will be putting small scraps in the drawers. I have been trying to take my small scraps that get leftover from my layouts and use my punches or dies for things like circles, squares, banners etc, so that I can easily add those to my courthouse or other pages that require a little embellishment. LisaDV, cindy - hope you both are feeling better today Well the push is on to get everything packed and ready for camping. I am going to take more courthouse pages to work on since I received my order of prints yesterday, since they have such a standard format, it is so much easier to pack supplies and I can actually knock them out pretty fast. I really only have the food and my scraping stuff to get loaded (going to do that on Saturday and we will leave out Sunday morning). All my clothes are packed, all the non perishables, it seems overwhelming thinking about it, but I actually think it will go pretty smooth on Saturday. We don't expect to have any coverage so you probably won't see me around until Saturday the 21st. Have a wonderful Thursday ladies.

maribeth, I hope you enjoy your trip to our state. We have had tons of rain so everything was muddy and flooding, but it's beautiful today and supposed to stay that way all next week. I think it cleared up just for you! I know you will enjoy getting away. grammadee, your flowering bush is beautiful. I'm sorry it's cold there. I laughed with LisaDV over the planting in a coat comment. I totally understand. Hope you are feeling well now that you are comfy in your own bed. scrapincin, I'm sorry your hips are hurting. I think it's our age. I have days that mine really bother me, but not as bad as my bad knee. At our age it's just patch, patch, patch! Glad Bobby did well at his concert. We have a concert nearly every night next week and into the next week. Our school ends on the 27th. LisaDV, I hope the drops help your DD. That's a long range therapy but worth it if it helps. Have fun having a girls day mall shopping. Tomorrow our Ashley (14) is having knee surgery and our son is having Gallbladder surgery. I will be tending Alex after school until they release Ash. I also tend 2 little neighborhood boys on Fri. afternoons, so it will be a busy day. I finished a layout today and another card. I'll post them later.

maribeth, I don't envy your packing or unpacking (my least favorite part of trips), but your trip will be fun. grammadee, that is a happy welcome home for sure. Things are finally blooming out here as well. nylene, hope both surgeries go well. I said a prayer for them and will keep them in my thoughts and prayers today. erica8, Glad you found us. Look forward to getting to know you. Gabriella and I had a wonderful day although she had a couple of rough health patches. We ended up buying a new futon cover and paint for the great room. During the day, we thought we'd tackle the project getting it finished to surprise the boys. (We will hopefully tear down the walls next year and update the great room, but I just can't live with purple walls for another year.) Today, she feels yukky, so I think it will just be a relax, watch some girl shows and some game playing. Maybe I can work on some ATCs.

Welcome, erica8 . This is a lovely bunch of ladies! Hope your dd feels better after a restful girlie day, LisaDV What she is going through sounds a lot like my dd who developed a whole lot of these symptoms after a bout with mono a couple of years ago. The lingering fatigue has really made her struggle. Still trying to find an answer. Thyroid medication seemed to help for awhile. But it has been tagged as chronic fatique syndrome (there is another name for it, but I am not sure I remember the letters, and know I can't spell it) or something similar, both of which are thought to be auto immune related. I will be interested to know what drops your dd is on, and how they help her long term. Happy packing, maribeth ! I hope that you will be able to relax a bit on your camping trip after all your activity at home and at work. nylene , I know how hectic the last couple of weeks of school can be, what with ceremonies and concerts and wrap up activities. Sending you strength! And you, too, scrapincin . I wish I was close enough to my school age grandkids to attend some of those events. Dgd (age 10) from Abbotsford texted me a photo yesterday to show me what she was wearing for their year end event, and her mom posted pic's last weekend of their Ukrainian Dance year end concert. If I can't be there, it's nice to get the photos. I have a busy day today. Need to get off the computer and get moving soon! There is a grad luncheon at the program I had a part in instructing. Before that starts I have to stop in town to pick up the small gifts I have waiting at the local gift shop. The cards are made and signed and addressed. Just need to slip a small gift into each envelope and seal. After the grad, I plan to head into Lloyd with a short stop at the greenhouse on the way. I need to pick up something I preordered from the LSS, pick up some stuff for dh, pick up the Discovery Toys order from justjac 's house. Best part is that Jac and I will be going out for supper afterward! Have a great Friday, Pokeys!

Happy Happy Friday - ready to get this workday done and get ready to head out on Sunday before the sun rises. LisaDV - Hope your daughter feels better soon. You all seem to handle this so well, balancing the need for rest with the joy of activity and participation. I would not want purple walls in my great room either, although when I was a teen my bedroom had purple walls, purple shag carpet, a pin canopy bed, purple and pink patterned wall paper on the closet wall with purple and pink beads instead of closet doors - oh my! As for the packing and unpacking - that is actually a favorite part of travel for me, always has been. I'm weird. grammadee - I just love to hear about all you do and how often you get together with JustJac. So nice for you to have so many interests and someone special to enjoy them with. erica8 - welcome, I can't wait to see your first project posted to the Pokey thread. Look forward to having some new inspiration and another Pokey to participate in our little group. Well no telling if I will be able to visit here before I leave, so if I don't - See you all on Saturday the 21st!
