I've worn make up so long - tried so many things and had some work, some not. But, I'm pleased to say that I took a Pea recommendation and have had great success! Back on the old board there was a post about mascara. Some Peas recommended Loreal Double Extend. Hallelujah - this is fantastic. I have super short straight eyelashes. It's a 2 step process and man oh man do I have lush lashes! Thanks Peas - I'm not one that recommends many products, but this is one that has worked out well for me! Loreal Double Extend Mascara

It is so nice to hear recommendations for products like those. There are always so many options in stores, it's overwhelming to try something new -- especially when it costs nearly $10 a try, that really starts to add up after a while! I hate spending money on make up that I don't end up using.
PS, I love it when two thread titles come one after another and are humorous.. right now your title is right before the "new drug, Spice" one, and I loved the idea of a whole bunch of Peas recommending new illegal drugs to try. haha.

Do you find it at all difficult to apply or remove?

No, not at all. I wash it off with water and a mild facial cleanser. It comes up in one big (or a few big pieces). Hard to explain!
Check out the reviews on Amazon - they seem to have similar sentiment about it.
I purchased 2 from Walgreens over the weekend when then had the buy one get 2nd half off on Loreal. 2 for around $12

I'm another that tried this and just love it. In addition to more natural looking longer thicker lashes, I also notice I don't get little mascara blobs in the corner of my eyes a short time after applying it.

It's awesome stuff. I love it.
If you need to try new beauty products and are afraid of putting out money for things you may not like, both CVS and Walgreens will issue a refund with receipt. I wouldn't be surprised if Rite Aid has the same policy.

BeckyTech - not sure. I found out by accident on Sunday when I was there that the sale was going on.
However, it being Sunday, isn't that the usual day for the sales to start?

Must try this! My eyelashes are practically non existent. Ann Another thing my mom didn't tell me about aging was that my eyelashes along the outer edges would start disappearing. So if you need eyelashes to put mascara on, I found the Ardell Lash & Brow Excel product to promote growth of eyelashes worked well. It takes about 4-6 weeks, but you will definitely notice a difference. It's a cheap version of that ~$100 product you see advertised. At $15, it was a worthwhile purchase for me. I don't have to use it everyday anymore. kimpossible, yup, the sale is still good through Saturday. Plus they have Softsoap on sale as a BOGO which is the best price I've ever found. Thanks!

Thanks for posting this, I will look for it. Have you noticed any issues with flaking or smudging? Those are my main challenges with mascara and eye liner. Apparently, for whatever reason, I can't keep my fingers off my eyes.

I've never had a problem with smudging or flaking and as a matter of fact, it is extremely cry-proof.

As a matter of fact, I have bad allergies and so my eyes always water up - no issues whatsoever with it disappearing until I wash it off.

Usually mascara (both high end and drug store) ends up under my eye, giving me the raccoon look. This mascara stays on until you take it off. Unless you're swimming, it does come off in water, but the "tubes" slide off and don't raccoon. And it's perfect for camping because if you don't take it off it's still on in the morning !

Thanks so much for the recommendation. I need to try this. My lashes have dwindled down to practically nothing since all my eye surgeries, and I haven't been able to find anything that has worked well for me. This sounds like it might be worth a shot

This mascara is great. I've cried buckets with it on and it never smears or runs down my face. It creates 'tubes' on you lashes and those tubes may come off when you cry but it doesn't run. You can just wipe/pick the little black pieces off and there's no mess. It also doesn't smear or get under your eyes when you sweat. It comes off very easily if you get it thoroughly wet and then you can pull the tubes off your lashes. Think little tube socks on your lashes. Love this mascara!

Wait you have to pull it off?? Don't your eyelashes come with it? Does makeup remover work?

So I stopped at Walgreens to check out his product. It was $11.49 a tube!! I passed. I'm a thrifty person, and after paying about $6/tube for my normal L'Oreal Voluminous (which I always loved), I had a hard time swallowing the price of the Double Extend as well. But I'm really glad I made the leap, it was well worth it. I still use the Voluminous on some days, but unless you have thick, lovely lashes naturally, I doubt you will regret it.

Kluski, no your eyelashes don't come off just the mascara. I don't use makeup remover so I don't know how it does with that. It's not pulling as in a hard pull, once your lashes are wet it comes off with a very gentle tug.

I was also a recommender on the old board. I love it more than any of the more expensive mascara I've tried. It comes off just fine with make-up remover, easier than most. I'm planning an amazon purchase today, I may have to add a tube or two...

Thanks for the recommendation. I always use a waterproof mascara, but it sounds like this product would work as well?
