Did anyone watch the Kate+8 update specials?

I feel exactly the same way. I won't watch. 

I watched the first one. I have to agree about Maddy, that kid is a class A brat. It was fun to see how much the little kids have grown, but Kate still drives me nuts.

I did watch it because I think the kids are so cute! They are still adorable and Maddie is still a brat! I feel sorry for Kara, you can tell Maddie is the boss of her! Kate is still a witch with a capital B.

Mady is just like her mom unfortunately.

I watched. I actually felt sorry for Kate. She just seemed so weary. That was a huge party to put on. I can't imagine why. I get nostalgia and all that, but yikes. I guess it was for the show.

I felt bad for the kids and some of the flashbacks. They picked some embarrassing ones that no 10 year old or 13 year old would want floating out there on the Internet, much less replayed for their peers. Maddy seemed much like Kate. She obviously needs some real hands on attention, to curb the bad and bring out the good. But at the end of it all, Kate shouldn't have allowed them to show the footage of Maddy's teenaged tantrums. Kate is still the adult and should have kept that drama private.

I watched for a little bit(my MIL was here visiting and we were flipping through channels at her hotel room). After watching Kate and Maddie for a few minutes, we both grew weary of it, and changed the channel. Seriously, Maddie is a brat, but I think Kate brings it out in her.

I watched it. It seems that most of the kids are at least a little bratty! Maybe it's because I only have one child but I could NOT deal with that much attitude on a daily basis!! Maddy is horrendous.

I saw the first one, haven't caught the second epi yet. 
Mady is so bratty. She clearly would have preferred being an only child!
Bit I certainly don't envy Kate, parenting eight kids basically alone, big house or not. 

I wanted to but didn't realize it was on that night and didn't record it. Any idea if it's online somewhere?

I have watched on and off, more off really, especially since their marriage broke up. I don't think people who are involving their children in all of these reality shows realize the damage that they are doing, and the damage that will come out down the line. These reality shows are elevating their status for no real reason, and teaching them basically that it is okay to lie. I say that because you have to know that while the show may not be scripted per se, the producers encourage them escalate certain situations and make things look more dramatic for the camera.
