I don't have to take BP OR cholesterol meds tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGosh!!!!!!! I am SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!! (Can ya tell???) I had my 6 mo. checkup yesterday for both and my numbers are great! She was SO proud of me for losing weight and dropping D Coke 18 days ago. I can't believe I am able to stop both pills today! Now, there is no guarantee that I will be able to stay of the BP meds as high BP runs in my family. If it goes back up a little, she will try putting me on the lowest dose possible, but hopefully it won't come to that. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  |

That is fantastic, and IMO the best reason to lose weight and get in shape! I find as I age, vanity plays less of a role. I'm on the same quest--on BP meds and trying to avoid taking one for high cholesterol. You should be very proud!  |

Yay for you!
I started my own journey at the beginning of this month: cut out sugar and don't eat snacks outside of meals, only eat when I'm hungry, keep track of every calorie. I am down 13 lbs so far. I've got a long way to go, but I'm not on a diet, and even if I never lose another pound, I know this is how I eat for the rest of my life.
This week was more of a challenge, but you give me encouragement. I feel inspired every time I see your beautiful profile picture!
