Or is it just my account? I bought a couple of songs from the iTunes store... either earlier this week, or over the weekend. Long ago enough that I can't remember without looking it up. The receipt, dated today, just arrived in my email box. Really Apple? I guess it is a good thing I am not monitoring the account of some child, who would have long ago spent $300 without my knowing.

It takes a couple of days for mine to show up.

I don't buy a lot on iTunes, but DH does. His receipts sometimes arrive the next day, sometimes several days after the purchase. It isn't consistent.

Yes. I always have a moment of panic thinking someone else is spending on my acct when I get an email from them. Then when I check the receipt I see it was just me.

They are staggered. Might get one the next day and then it might take a few days for the next one or two to show up. And this is for several songs purchased one right after the other.

Huh, no. I always get mine within 24 hours of a purchase. That's really strange.

They take several days to appear in my inbox after purchase. Every time.

I always used to get them immediately after a purchase. For about a year now, it's been taking anywhere from a few days to a week. Like cmpeter, I sometimes have a flash of panic until I check the receipt and see that it's just Apple being slow. I agree that the lag time would be pretty frustrating if I were trying to monitor kids'/teenagers' purchases.

I've had that same experience. Buying two or more songs on the same day and the receipts for them may come separately and even on different days!

Yes especially ITUNES or if it's APP. It doesn't even show in my account for a few days. So I just wait for it.

I read earlier today, in the context of an article along the lines of "ways stores trick you into spending more," that this is intentional. (They mentioned Apple specifically by name.) The delay in sending the receipt supposedly takes the sting out of spending the money.
Supposedly.
