I am a Sanders supporter, but I gotta say, that would be one interrupt-y debate.

Too funny! Although I have to say I'm really disappointed that Bernie doesn't appear to share his fries.

I would be curious to see how it goes. For some reason I see Bernie as a poor target for trumps name calling and negativity. He has gone after Hillary full force but I am not sure he could do so with Bernie because he doesn't carry the "hate" that Hillary does, at least in regards to his character.

Given that nothing about this election has followed tradition, why not? It would give Clinton an opportunity to learn more about how Trump would behave in a one-on-one debate with a Democrat.

He has gone after Hillary full force but I am not sure he could do so with Bernie because he doesn't carry the "hate" that Hillary does, at least in regards to his character. I'm fairly certain that there will be no outright trashing of Bernie, beyond maybe using his nickname "Crazy Bernie" that Trump has already bestowed on him. The reason is that Trump may actually have a chance to swing some of Bernie's supporters over to him because so many of them are ardent Hillary-haters. In a recent exit poll, something like 40+% of Bernie voters said they would vote for Trump over Hillary. Now keep in mind that a lot of Hillary voters felt the same about Obama in the '08 election, but since there are so many in 2016 who really claim to hate Hillary, there might be a good percentage up for grabs. Who knows?
MizIndependent, love the memes.
I can't wait, this debate should be ... memorable!

I just saw an article that said Trump has said he will not debate Bernie.
"Based on the fact that the Democratic nominating process is totally rigged and Crooked Hillary Clinton and (Debbie) Wasserman-Schultz will not allow Bernie Sanders to win, and now that I am the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second place finisher," Trump said in a statement.

It wasn't just an article, it's posted at Trump's site. Crap. Well, at least you all can enjoy my personal contribution to the Trump vs Sanders meme: ETA: Guess we can put this new hashtag to work - #DonaldDucked

Twitter has already called him on that as well! Someone said: debating Bernie is inappropriate but somehow calling all Mexicans rapists isn't. The #donaldducked and #chickentrump hashtags that are trending are completely hilarious!

He said, "They are rapists." He didn't say, "Some of them are rapists." Close enough for me, for trash talking on a message board. This isn't a court of law. He actually did say "some of them are rapists. “When Mexico sends it’s people, they’re not sending their best. (this indicates that he believes there ARE good people in Mexico that aren't being sent) They’re not sending you. (points at people in the audience) They’re not sending you. (points at more people) They’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. [sic] They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists. And some, I assume are good people.” Considering everything he says and does, it’s really hard to defend him, BUT in this case the whole quote, with all of the words preceding and all of the words following the "rapists" part needs to be taken into account to definitively claim what he meant. You can’t take the one sentence and say that’s all there is to it when the rest of what he says disproves the claim that he said all Mexican’s are rapists. As is often said when things are pointed out about Hillary (just for one example) you can't cherry pick a line and expect to be correct in your assesment. If it's insisted upon with politicians you agree with (general you), then that needs to extend to all politicians. But then, if your only intention is to bend the truth just so you can “trash talk him on a message board”, well then...

He "assumes that some of them are good people".....note the word assumes......meaning, suppose to be the case but he has no proof so therefore they all must be drug traffickers, criminals and rapists because as he so plainly points out.....he has no proof that they're not! And while you are deciphering what he actually means, maybe you can also explain to the rest of us who exactly are "They" as in " When Mexico sends it’s people, they’re not sending their best" He's going to be " fantastic" on the world stage trying to get his thoughts and opinions across to the rest of the world leaders if he doesn't learn to be far more coherent with his words!

He says of Mexicans who immigrate here (and don't tell me he just means those who come here illegally, because I don't see that anywhere in your direct quotation) that they are rapists. Not some of them. Just ... they are. The ones who stay in Mexico are not. I guess. All righty then. Thanks for the clarification.

Okay, without the truth being bent, he's still a raging asshole worthy of the trash talk he dishes out himself daily! It's a shame that there isn't this kind of overwhelming momentum behind a/any candidate who isn't him!

I disagree with the bolded in your post. You have assigned NEW meaning to the actual words he's said, instead of relying on his actual words. We'll agree about Donald Trump, but we'll have to agree to disagree about looking for an ulterior meaning in his words.

@mytnice , I have not seen any acknowledgment from you yet that Trump did not say "some" Mexicans or "all" Mexicans, but he clearly was referring to "all" Mexicans who come to the U.S. Or do you only respond now to people when you think you can prove your "corrections" are actually "correct"?

This from a person who when called on a erroneous (and not very flattering) remark she made about Hillary she replied it was an off handed remark and she was ok with it...... You left out the part where I said "I stand corrected." You also failed to mention my "off handed remark" statement was in response to your statement... But if you did, that might take some of the wind out YOUR "gotcha" moment, now wouldn't it. Let's see. You just chastised folks because you feel they should be accurate if they are going to trash somebody. But yet you did the very same thing and was called on it, and yes you did say you stand corrected but shrugged it off by saying it was an off handed remark and you are ok with it. A couple of things if you are going to chastised others for their trash talking remarks about others. 1. Make sure your trash talking remarks are accurate. 2. When others point out the error of your ways and you acknowledged it by saying "I stand corrected" don't add "it was an off handed remark and I'm ok with it" because that implies you really don't care if your remarks are accurate or not. So to be clear here I don't think you should be the one to chastise others when you yourself do the same thing and it appears you don't care.
