I had issues watching it on Safari, but it worked fine on Firefox. Loved it! I thought they did a great job adapting the book and I loved putting real faces to the characters. I think it's going to be a really good series!

Well, if nothing else, Starz marketing department is genius. I just got finished watching the first episode and it was good. So far, with only a few twinges at their casting, it is as in line with the books as it can be when translating a book into television. I actually enjoyed it. But I don't have Starz, and am thinking maybe I need to suck it up for a couple of months and pay for it.

Oh, I forgot to say, it was on the on-demand channel for free. Boobies, butts, bad-words and all (practicing my alliteration today. LOL)

I loved the episode and can already see the chemistry between Claire & Jamie.

We have comcast and the first episode requires a subscription for on-demand. Going to watch on my iPad! but guessing Starz will have a new customer.

Just finished watching the first episode through On Demand. I liked it and especially liked Catriona Balfe's performance. It felt cut short though because of the one hour time constraint. Wish this first episode could have been two hours long. I think that would have done more justice to the story and perhaps, would have brought more viewers in. I'll watch it again next week just because!

I just got done watching it and I really liked it. I thought they'd make Frank's hair black to play Jack Randall, though. And I think Dougal is a little older looking than I pictured, but I like him. I was skeptical about Jamie but I like him too so far. Murtagh isn't quite as small and skinny as described but I think he'll be good too. I'm overall very pleased!

Does anyone know how many episodes there will be this season? Sixteen episodes for the first season... And the season is broken up into 2 parts. 8 episodes in the fall. Then it picks back up after a break in 2015. Not sure what the dates are but I bet a RefuPea knows and will post it.

I wonder if it's broken into 2 sessions to keep new subscribers from dropping out too soon. A lot of fans will subscribe to Starz just for this series and cancel at the end.

Not sure what the dates are but I bet a RefuPea knows and will post it. Again, the PR department of Starz should get a bonus this year. By releasing a free episode, they have effectively roped in a gazillion new subscribers and by splitting the season they have kept those subscribers from leaving. Geniuses.

I'm going to have my husband watch it with me so he can hopefully get hooked and want to watch the series with me. He thinks I've been kind of crazy talking about this upcoming show for the last couple of months. He doesn't understand...YET!! hahaha!!!!

Possible, but Starz does these books to miniseries quite well. I loved The Pillars Of The Earth though it was nothing like the book by Ken Follett, and i liked Philippa Gregory's The White Queen a lot too. And i like their on demand movie selection. I've had Starz for years
