It could be pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, ham at Easter, fudge at Christmas. I leave tomorrow to go to Seattle to see my brother (who I have a great relationship with). My seasonal favorites are Copper River salmon and Washington state cherries. They are only available in the summer here. Can't wait! ETA:I forgot tomatoes grown in my garden.

Locally grown strawberries, which we can only get for two or three weeks here, tomatoes, peaches, and corn on the cob. Strawberries are in right now, the rest we have to wait for.

I do love pumpkin everything in the fall. But summertime local fruits and veggies win for me. Porter peaches, Bixby sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, okra, etc.

We look forward every year to "Taber Corn" ... It is corn grown around the Town of Taber here in Alberta and they bring it up here to Calgary and sell it out of the backs of trucks It's sooooo good

Niagara strawberries that I picked by myself.
Asparagus that is picked while you wait.
Fresh sweet corn that goes from field to pot in less than 5 minutes.
Cherries raspberries, blueberries & blackberries that I pick myself.
The grape juice that I steam from grapes that I picked.
Fresh tomatoes, zucchini, beans, carrots & peas straight from the garden.
The best Thanksgiving dinner that we had were the ones where we could name the specific source of the food of the majority of meal. The turkey, onions, potatoes, carrots, beans & garlic came from the farm of my sibling.
The applesauce, pickles, celery, sweet potatoes came from another sibling's farm.
The wine came from a local winery, which specified the vineyard from where the grapes came from.
A local dairy /cheese production facility named the dairy herd on their products for cream milk & cheese. I didn't know the exact source for the ingredients that were used in making the pie pastry or the homemade rolls.I might have missed something(s), but those meals were so good.
I love living in Canada's fruit & vegetables 'basket'.

local peaches and while it isn't exactly technically seasonal, the fried shrimp I get on our trips to the beach - since that's just seasonal for me!

Easter eggs, I love how thin the chocolate is and that satisfying snap when it's been chilled.

Bear Lake Raspberries, local peaches, corn on the cob, most fruits and vegetables from the local farmers. Unfortunately, the growing season is short.
ETA: Pumpkin anything in the fall!

I love grilled veggies in summer. I love home grown tomatoes but am not doing a garden here since the critters get them before I can. I just don't want to do battle again. I also love fresh strawberries and blueberries. I miss our peach tree I love fresh but haven't had good luck with store bought the last few years.

Ooh, I'm so jealous. I love Seattle and I love those foods!
I just froze several bags of strawberries for smoothies. I think my favorite though is cantaloupe. They haven't quite started locally here yet but soon. I'll also put up a lot of peaches also for smoothies.
Apple orchards are very big here so starting about the middle of October we will have local apples on hand for several months.

Besides farm fresh fruits and vegetables, especially sweet corn, strawberries and asparagus, there are three seasonal foods I look forward to every summer. A corn dog, a cream puff and a Paizis' gyro at our county fair. Paizis is a Greek restaurant in Arkansas, but during the summer, they bring their food trailer to fairs in Wisconsin. Love those gyros!!
