As for basics...dots, stripes, chevron...I know that Echo Park and Simple Stories has lines of those, and I believe Bella Blvd does as well.

Usually I can find them here or there but more often than not the scale of the print is bigger than I'd like. As others noted, if they would do the size print in the 6x6 pads on 12x12 sheets, I would be sold! I almost never (okay, actually never, LOL!) use patterned paper for my backgrounds or base layers. I only use it for photo mats or accents, so if the design is too big it will be lost on my page. Or more likely still, I won't even buy it to begin with.

I was looking through my stash the other day and I was thinking about what collections I did and did not love, even after all this time... -Does anyone remember Amy Tan's Sketchbook collection...that was lovely! Bright colours and even though it used the wayercolour theme it wasn't so tired, even looking at it now. It has bright aquas, and yellows, and greens and oranges with bold black and white sketchy designs. I wish she would do something more like that again. -Sassafras Lass...oh Sass I miss you Anthem and Vintage yummy, bold colours, fun collagey designs. -October Afternoon in particular lines like Woodland Park and Sidewalks. They had geometrics (polka dots, stripes, chervons), and interesting prints and colours. Woodland park had some amazing blues(rich, dark navy!) and there was some pink, but not much blush pink at all, the dark pink bordered on red. Sidewalks had a really beautiful and kid friendly theme lots of yellow, red and aqua. Rocket Age...sigh...the colours again navy, golden orangey yellow, red great patterns and theme, but very usuable B sides if you didn't want the themey side! I think one of the best lines of this past year was Starshine which really embraced that old OA feeling for me...even though it had pink it had plenty of other colours and even a colourblocked piece of paper (someone above was asking for colourblocking). It had loads of geometric papers with more themey prints on one side. It had florals, it has geometrics, it had stars...I want more lines like this, lines that work for many themes in rich USABLE colours. Seriously, don't try to fix what's not broken and force trends that aren't going to happen..."Stop trying to make fetch happen!" My only issue with all the older lines that I love is that I don't want to use them.

Roller date stamp with just month and year. Shimelle released one in a previous collection that has the European way of dating with the day first then month then year. I just turn the day to blank and use the month/year when I don't know the actual day and it comes out perfectly because they're right next to each other instead of having the awkard gap. Here's a pic: www.amazon.com/American-Crafts-Shimelle-Roller-Stamp/dp/B00MAK07JC

I am really not too crazy about all the small busy prints, they remind me of the paper when I first started scrapping almost 20 years ago. It was all you could find before the big box stores opened up. Now the industry has come full circle. I miss the subtle prints of Mustard Moon and the "rooms" collections (forgot the company name). They were so versatile. I also miss the Junkitz paper line that was distressed but still brighter colors. Most of all I MISS BASIC GREY, all those unexpected patterns/color combos and I loved their B sides. I have been hoarding these papers, afraid to use them since I haven't seen any new lines that I liked as much.

I would like 8x8 paper pads not 6x6. I love to layer on my 12x12 pages. 6x6 is just not big enough, often not even big enough for photos

Yes! And can I add, can we please have some video-gaming and robotic stuff that is more feminine? Daughters also like to play. OMG don't even get me started about the manufacturers jamming all girls into one persona and all boys into another. We'd be here for years.

I spend so much breath trying to explain this concept to people... Futile for some, I know... It's not just the scrapbook manufacturers- It's society! Do you remember that superbowl commercial a few years back "run like a girl"? www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_Ep0O5fWN4 Brought literal tears to my eyes. But... I digress. tl;dr: let people be people without putting them into gender boxes!

My vote would be for basic patterns, smaller in size, and in bright or jewel colors I might actually use. Does anyone remember the Watercolor papers that Making Memories had eons ago? Designs like that, such as tone on tone dots, gingham, plaid, stripes in colors that coordinate with each other. I still have some in my stash and every time I purge I refuse to get rid of it because no one has done anything like that for years. Colorbok re-released some Making Memories products a while back and they did a multi pack of the plain non patterned water colour papers. An art and craft store here in Australia got a whole heap of Making Memories stock and I bought that paper pack I think it had a green, yellow, orange, pink, red, teal and baby blue with two sheets of each. I have used the heck out of that paper pack and am kind of bummed that I am down to the last of it, I have yet to see anything to replace it.

B side lines. I have found that I reach more for the B side these days than I do the bold pattern, tone on tone, polka dots, water colour, diagonal stripes I just find that these lines are so interchangeable. Yes please! One of my favourite papers ever was a tone on tone polka dot from Chatterbox in the perfect warm shade of red that looked just as good with photos from the 1940's as it did with my 1980's childhood. Just make patterns smaller, like the size on the 6x6 pads but printed 12x12. Oh and bring back Scenic Route! Yes to both of these! I would like 8x8 paper pads not 6x6. I love to layer on my 12x12 pages. 6x6 is just not big enough, often not even big enough for photos Another vote for this!

My wishlist (note our teen son is my primary scrap subject):
- Men's clothing-inspired, small scale, classic patterns (e.g. stripes, plaids, polka dots, chevron, herringbone) in a dark neutral color palette (e.g. black, grey, navy, brown, white) with matching textured cardstock & versatile embellishments (e.g. alphanumeric Thickers with several vowels, matte labels, basic journaling cards, enamel dots)
- Mature sports lines (e.g. basketball, football, track/field, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, base-/softball, volleyball, swimming) for teens/adults; non-juvenile & non-repetitive icon patterned papers in a neutral color palette as a backdrop for photos of the action without competing with it. Admittedly creative-challenged, I ran out of ideas (& cannot find new ones to borrow) for incorporating bright orange basketballs on pages several years ago!
- A versatile, masculine line with classic patterns (e.g. stripes, plaids, polka dots, chevron, herringbone) in a rich dark purple, dark & light grey, black, & white
- A basic line with classic patterns & a color palette that can be customized (in school colors, college/pro team colors, party decor, etc.)

I would love to see a mature sports line!!! I'm a little stuck when it comes to DS's high school basketball and football pictures, and I can't find much on Pinterest either. I think all scrappers of teenage athletes are stuck!

I saw this warehouse box on their website www.gossamerblue.com/product/warehouse-box/ and I've been eyeing it for the non-Christmas collections. The designers are people I like on the lilypad. I would totally buy it immediately if the shipping were more reasonable but it's $17! It's $40 so $57 total with shipping. Did you buy this or know anyone who did? Any thoughts?

I so agree. Maybe the thing to do is add the word "NOT THE" in front of it. Hahaha I want them to STOP using words/phases like EPIC and BEST DAY EVER. You can only have 1 best day ever, so why does every single collection have an embellishment with this on it? The PL card sets have at LEAST 3 cards that say that, and it's irritating. No one will have 3 BEST DAY's EVER in one year! LOL

Silver, please! I'm so tired of gold. I'd also like to have washi tape on sheets to match the collections.

I'd like to see stamp sets that are basic geometric shapes. Triangles in several sizes, both solid and outline. Same for circles, squares, hexagons, etc. I think this would be a phenomenal way to build backgrounds and allow for a lot of versatility.
