OK, question: WHERE, OH WHERE do people REALLY keep their toys? I have teenagers...I'd be mortified if... In a box in the closet and if they're sneaking around going through my stuff and they find it, that's what they get and serves 'em right, lol Also, my sister has a key to my house and directives to seek and destroy anything at all of this nature before my kids or our mom find it if something untimely were to happen to us.

Meekly asking if you would mind putting that under spoiler? My pearls just broke. I'll hide it in a spoiler if you promise to try it! Great reply Steph!!!!

Again, i'm not here to sell, but if you're planning on making a purchase from my company I do appreciate if you use my link www.pureromance.com/stephanie If there are any other questions, ask away. I never liked sex in the shower because the lube (natural or not) washed away and I found it uncomfortable.
I read something recently that someone has come out with a lube that will not wash away in the shower. If that is true is it actually good to use. I would hate the thought of something just hanging around in my vagina.
And would hate to have to buy a vagina cleaner and I am lazy and would hate having to add an extra step needed for cleaning.

You already have a vagina cleaner. It's called....your vagina. And soap. And water. There is no need to put anything in your vagina to be clean. If you smell bad in spite of normal bathing, see your doctor because there is something there that needs to be treated. Otherwise, rest easy! Your business is clean as long as you're clean

I am asking if I put something up there that is water proof how do I deal with cleaning that out. And I am not putting soap up there. And my vagina does not smell bad it just smells like a regular old vagina and my vagina does not need to be treated for anything. Although a treat for my vagina might be nice.

If you smell bad in spite of normal bathing, Define "bad". Haha! We all have a natural odor. I would define "bad" as something unnatural for *you*. Based on your experience with and knowledge of your own body. My point is that I don't think vaginas are naturally scented like summer rain, but if you're bathing regularly and noticing an unclean/unnatural/abnormal odor emanating from the area...then I think that's something you should have checked.

You definitely need a good lubricant. Water does not equal wet I haven't heard about one that is legit waterproof, they were likely talking about a silicone based lubricant. They don't need soap to clean, they just don't absorb as quickly as water based lubricant, they stay silkier longer especially in the water. With a good lubricant you should feel protected and moisturized during and after sex...never like you need to scrub our use soap. Just a gentle once over externally like normal in the shower. There are a ton of silicone lubricants on the market. Ours is called pure pleasure and can also be used to prevent Chub rub on your thighs Reminder: your vagina is like a self cleaning oven, no soaps, fragrance, or douches are required!

Just a quick question about silicone lube - is that the one you should not use with a condom? Well maybe not so quick. I know there are different types of condoms so is it just one kind of condom that you should avoid silicone lube with.

Silicone is usually ok with condoms ( we can't say any lubricant is completely safe with them, legalities) It's oil based products that break down condoms.

Just another note about anal... If you are using toys anally, make sure they have a wide base or they could get sucked into the very long road that is your digestive track. A lot of people don't realize this and nobody wants to make a trip to the emergency room to have their sex toys removed from their backside. Well, most people don't anyway. I actually had the joy of caring for a man who had made not one, not two, but THREE trips to the ER and then OR to have objects removed from his rectum. Things that weren't meant to go up there. He was a married man and blamed it on his wife. Yeah, right. I'm convinced he enjoyed the experience or he wouldn't have done it three times. After all, they make plenty of objects that ARE made to go up there and a tennis ball and a turkey baster aren't those things. I don't know what the 3rd object was. He didn't seem a bit embarrassed and even left his business card for me to give the surgeon. Lawdy...

I'm no pride but dang dude! THEEE times? Most people would learn after the first time. And why does it seem *I* always get these patients?

OK, question: WHERE, OH WHERE do people REALLY keep their toys? I have teenagers...I'd be mortified if... I have 2 teen daughters, 14 and 16 at the time of this occurrence. I regularly check in on their phones. I LOLd when I saw this text exchange between sisters... Sister 1: FML mom has lube 😜 Sister 2: I know. I was looking for q-tips the other day and saw it 😳 My question is why/how do they know about lube lol!?!?! (Actually we have very open conversations, just no lube discussions yet lol!)

Steph, could you address body safe materials for sex toys? I know a lot of people are not that concerned about this but it's good to be informed and make a personal choice from there. When I looked at your site, I was very happy to see that Pure Romance has been adding more products made with body safe materials. Years ago when I went to a party there was very little. Ok, let's talk materials and safety--- sorry it took me so long, we've been in the mountains all day and service has been horrible! There are a TON of different materials that toys can be made of-- the three things you want to consider are how porous is it, the three things you want to consider when you are purchasing toys- 1.) how porous/absorbant is it- porous toys can harbor bacteria and help it grow. So gross. 2. ) What it's made of- there are a ton of toys on the market that aren't safe for your body and can actually cause itching, burning, rashes, and even tissue damage. Always avoid Phthalates- they are a chemical that is used to make toys more soft or squishy feeling but the EPA has designated Phthalates as a carcinogen and they have been linked to neurological and reproductive issues. They're highly controversial right now, but I vote steer clear. 3.) Reputation of the manufacturer- Most people don't realize it but because these products are labeled 'for novelty use' there is NO regulation and manufacturers aren't responsible for any issues that happen because of unsafe toys. There is no reporting of materials, and they can write whatever they want on packaging without any consequences. This applies to just about everything you find on 'adult' sites and in stores, including Pure Romance. No reason to freak out, but you do need to educate yourself. How can you tell if a toy has phthalates? There are a couple of signs. If it seems like it's 'squishy' feeling or if it's especially bendy, ther is a good chance the plasticizers have been added. Sometimes they'll feel like there is a film, or almost an oily feeling. Steer Clear, especially if it's a toy you've had for a while, the materials can actually break down and weep over time. Pitch it or your vagina will be weeping later. You can also smell it on some toys, sometimes toys just smell plasticy, sometimes it smells skunky or similar to a 'new car smell'. A lot of these toys are also porous, so you have the bacteria issues if you don't use condoms with them. The best way is to go with a high quality, non porous toy with good materials . They are going to cost more, just like everything in life...you get what you pay for a lot of the time. High grade silicone and glass toys are your best bet. If you have any questions, your best bet is to upgrade or at the very least use a condom on your toys. You're ALWAYS better safe than sorry. and I will say, if you're shopping my website, message me first. We have made huge strides in overhauling our toy line, but there are still a few things that I wouldn't use and I refuse to sell. We're working on it but it's a process to overhaul and entire line with the new knowledge we have. I do love that we have an on staff chemist to make sure that products are fun, and also safe and i'm really, really proud of the progress we've made in the last few years as these studies have been released. If I had to rate common materials from worst to best it would be Jelly/Rubber PVC Skin-Like/Cyberskin materials Semi-silicone or silicone compounds Hard plastic toys and then Silicone, glass, stainless steel Your best bet is to do your research and find a sales person/consultant that is knowledgeable about body safety and materials to help you make a safe, healthy, (and FUN!) choice.
