As cardmakers and stampers? If you do, do you like them why/why not?

I sure do. I take both scrapbooking and cardmaking projects with me because I temporarily don't have space to work here at home.

If it's an over-nighter I scrapbook the first day and make cards the second. If it's a one day crop I usually only make cards. It's been a while since I've gone to an organized crop. But back in June and I hosted four friends at my house for Friday - Monday. I digi scrapped Friday - Sunday, then made cards on Monday.

Yes. My CTMH rep has 12-hour crops almost monthly, and brings all her big supplies, like the Cricut and Big Shot for everyone to use. I like going because although I have my own crafting space, I usually get distracted by other things at home and don't always craft as intently as I do when I am at the crop. So it's nice to get out from time to time.

I have been spoiled with a craft room so now a crop has to be at least all day or a retreat for me to pack up and go. But i started papercrafting by being mobile so its not too bad deciding what to bring. The social part is the best for me.

I love crops! I go to an all day crop every month and a weekend crop twice a year. I usually work on cards or altered art projects with an occasional layout thrown in...

I never have been to a crop period and I don't really have interest in going. I like having all my stuff around me and the thought of packing and unpacking gives me anxiety lol! Now I would love to help at a crop with no intentions on crafting. Being around people and seeing their work and ideas seems fun.

I wish more people around me cropped. I miss the days when I would go with friends on a Friday or Saturday night and spend a few hours chatting and making cards.
Maybe I need to consider something similar to what Emily's CTMH rep. does on a monthly basis for my Stampin' Up! customers???

I don't go to crops, although they always sound like so much fun. I really don't know of anyone close by me that even scraps.

I know an SU demo who makes a good living from it. She says she does well because of the events she hosts. She says it's easier to get people to come to an event than to convince them to host a home party.

I usually crop with friends. We used to go to the LSS during the day, and it varied what everyone is making. Some of our group prefer to scrap, some make cards. One gal makes banners.
Now that the LSS is closed, we meet in a small room at the library, but I would have no problem with making cards at a scrapbooking crop if that is what I felt like doing. I just don't usually do the night/weekend crops. They are too noisy, and I would rather spend the crop fee on scrapping supplies. I don't have little kids at home anymore, though.

I don't have any friends that scrap I am always trying to entice them to start scrapping, but to no avail LOL. I'm thinking of joining a meet-up scrap group, but haven't done so yet.

I do both. I go to 2 crops a year with a group of 12-18 good friends. We've been doing this for 10 years or so. Lately I've been card making more than anything because I'm not organized enough to scrap!
And not all of them scrap - we have sewers, quilters, doll makers, knitters, crocheters ... we run the gambet of crafts!

I've been to a few crops and always enjoyed them. But my daughter, who I used to go with, is now getting married. Sometimes people were fun and friendly, but a few times we got stuck sitting with people who were pretty crabby.

I was a vendor at a weekend crop recently where easily half the people working on stuff there were card makers! I think it's almost easier to work on cards at a crop. The projects are smaller size wise and usually quicker to finish, so I would feel like I was accomplishing more for the time spent.

I love crops! I usually do cards, unless I have a specific SB LO to do.
I bring a limited amount of stuff: a paper kit, some coordinating embellishments, stamps & a couple of ink pads, and basic tools.

I attend two crops a year...both are for charity. Yes, it's hard to pack up and in a perfect world, I would love to pre-plan my projects but I know myself too well! LOL!! Because I work at home, it is my only time to socialize so it's a great balance of helping others (charity aspect) and being a chatterbox I'm hoping to do more...we'll see!

I don't go to crops, although they always sound like so much fun. I really don't know of anyone close by me that even scraps. You should check out Meetup.com and see if there are any local groups. When I moved to New Jersey I didn't know a soul, but I found some local crops and have made wonderful friends that share my passion for paper!

Meetup.com can really help you hook with other crafters in the area.

I used to go to card making ones at my LSS. Now that's closed I hold quarterly ones at my house for 3 friends. Great fun! I host because I've got the most stuff;)

Crops are how I met women when I moved to a new state! I used meetup, as well as finding localish blogs of SU and CTMH reps.

Yes and I love it because I'm more likely to focus and get something done! Unfortunately, not many crops are going on around here anymore.

I try to go every Friday night. Cards are great little projects. That way, I don't take quite as much stuff!
