Last year at christmas I gave one of my paintings in our family Christmas exchange. It was a painting of my grandfather. In the end it ended up kind of a piece that everyone really wanted. I felt kind of bad for my sister because she wanted it so badly and it got stolen by my SIL (dirty santa game). So THIS year I decided to paint a painting and *everyone* would get a print. This is my father. He pushed dirt his entire life (and that's what my brother does too). He died 8 years ago. This was him in the 70's and really how I mainly remember him. It's my favorite photo of him. Yes, he was a big guy back then, but when I was in Jr High he developed diabetes and high blood pressure. He went on a strict diet and lost 125#. I have 2 little sisters and that's how they remember him, not like this. (they weren't even alive until the 80's). My dad worked on highways when I was little, in fact, if you've drive from north through Missouri down to Branson, you've probably driven on a highway he helped build over the lakes. This was taken when he worked for that company. HOWEVER, under the "781" I'm going to add the logo for when he worked for my Uncle in the 80's and 90's. (my uncle is passed now too). I didn't want to share that info online. sorry. It's 8x10, watercolor on arches 140# For a little juxtaposition I also painted this recently: 11x14 on Fabriano Artistico paper. I won the paper from a piece that showed in the Missouri Watercolor Society show in St Louis in April. I won an award (for my lure painting). If you look at my facebook page I did a couple videos of me painting this. My sound kinda sucks which I'm working on but you can see it in process. This was actually very hard for me. I like hard surfaces, man made items. Just though I'd share, thanks for looking!!

I need a dictionary to find more words to describe your paintings and your abilities! Your family is so lucky to receive such a prized piece of artwork.

My husband moves dirt too. So I'm especially partial to the fabulous work you've done here.
And you already know how I feel about the flower!
