We're having baked pork chops smothered in peach mango salsa, corn on the cob and our favorite pasta salad.

I'm making korean beef and potstickers tonight. Fast, doesn't require my oven, and tasty.

Grilling again to the dd's delight Tonight it will be steak marinated in Italian dressing (that old standby marinade ) and Caesar salad ... ETA: We're also having corn on the cob because they had some really nice ones at the store this morning Do you grill your corn? I'm lazy and do it in the microwave wrapped in damp paper towels. We had some on Friday night and it was pure perfection! Also, because I hate for DH to waste so much butter, I use a stick of butter to rub on the corn so it goes on nicely. It is a *dedicated* stick of butter in the refrigerator. I don't grill the corn ... I boil it in a big pot of water that I've added a couple of Tbsp of sugar to ... about 7 minutes and it's done! We don't have a dedicated stick of "corn butter"

Run cold water on it, squeeze out the excess water and microwave on high for about 3 minutes. Then have a taste test.

Once cooked those damned annoying silky threads fall right off. Dinner for us [shrug], so far I have leftover birthday cake and that's it. We just got home from the A's game. I'm tired, I don't want to think about cooking. My plan is every man for himself.

At least they won! Was it warm?

We had leftovers. My husband finished off the chicken fajita mixture from the other night and I had some leftovers from our Friday evening neighborhood gathering. That pretty much cleared the fridge of old stuff.

Pretty toasty, but still almost 20 degrees cooler than the S. Bay

I picked up bahn mi for dinner when I was out earlier. It is just too hot to even grill today. cadoodlebug and leannec I've become a complete convert to grilling corn. I always grill extra to cut up and freeze for tossing in salads. KelleeM sorry to see you taking a break, but completely understand .

I am so sad to see some of our friends leaving! I understand why, but still... It's just not fair! Why does there have to be crazy in this world. Moving into my bubble now Hope they are able to make it back home, soon!
